Have used these guys for two moves in Austin now. They are wicked fast and incredibly careful at packing up your items. I found Chris very easy to communicate with, and he let us know precisely when he would arrive on moving day. Terrific job! Two guys managed to move my apartment and my fiancee's storage container in under 4 hours, a container that took us 10 hours to fill! They were careful, fast efficient, friendly, came right on time and finished well inside the time frame requested. Not a scratch on any of the furniture, walls or doors. Excellent moving experience. The movers were professional and highly skilled. I moved from a 2 bedroom apartment to a 2 floor house and a team of 3 finished the entire move within 3 hours. Their charges are very reasonable too. The team padded both sides of entrance so the door doesn't get damaged .... rugs on floor throughout both houses so no damage during move out and move in. I would highly recommend Superior Moves. I do my own packing and hence booked them only for moving and was delighted by the experience. My builder told me he hasn't seen a mover who won't ding a bit on the walls and he would be happy to do the touch-ups once I move in. Well I will tell him that I found a mover who can move without causing a single ding There wasn't a scratch on the wall or anywhere. Really appreciate Chris (owner) for his prompt response during booking and he personally visiting the loading site to see everything was going smooth. Moving team - Brad, Fernando and extremely sorry I don't remember name of 3rd gentleman but all of them were excellent. Due to COVID the team worked throughout with masks ON which I know it would have been very difficult with the exertion. 30mins to load, 45mins to drive (12mile drive on 620 which has pretty heavy traffic) and 1hr 30mins to unload, unwrap+assemble all furniture (2 queen platform beds, dining table, sofa, loveseat, 2 office desks, tv console, coffee table, shoe rack and many more) and set it in right places. All boxes went in the respective rooms and they even offered on unboxing and placing items in closet but we wanted to do it slowly over time. The team took all the trash out and even cleaned up and folded my moving blankets. I have moved 3 times in the US and 2 times back home in India and this was the best moving experience for me. read more

THEY GHOSTED US! This has never happened to me before but they never showed up! I'm still shocked since I didn't know people could do that! We were booked for Saturday morning between 8am to 9am! We were ready for the move. Woke up early and received a call from them saying they would be late. My hubby said it was ok. They told him they will be at our place between 2 to 3 pm! We were understanding and accepted! They promised they show up and get the job done today but then again they postponed for 2-3 more hours! They said 5pm it is! Again we accepted.. Guess what? They didn't show up and stopped answering our calls and texts! Called several times and no one had the decency to answer! Didn't even let us know that they were cancelling on us! We lost a day and now we don't have a mattress to sleep on since everything is packed! This is wrong! I would never do that to a client! People have plans for their lives! Be respectful and honest! Accept your mistakes and apologize if you can't make it! I would never leave a negative comment if they would tell us they couldn't make it! But I guess they deserve a 1 star review because they think people don't have a life! Don't trust this company!! read more

Very good movers, arrived close to scheduled time. Daughter moved from UT Austin back to San Antonio, changed $90 an hour and a $150 mileage fee, so fairly reasonable. Other movers charge up to $1400 - way too much. The 2 movers were very nice and courteous, most definitely would recommend them. read more

DO ŃOT HIRE this company! If moving itself isn't stressful enough, what about hiring a moving company taking time off work and then they never show up! Chris (I'm guessing he is the owner) was replying everyday by Yelp email then he told me to save his number so we could communicate by text...I tried calling him and texting him 2 days before the move, then day before move. I kept thinking maybe they are just that busy (trying to give them benefit of doubt) hopeful they would still show up as promised.... now I'm a 2weeks behind schedule to move out and it cost me an extra $500 to pay rent for the extra time I needed to schedule another mover AND wasted time off work! Just got finished with my first big move, using professional movers... I gotta say, the owner Chris, and his helper Brand really knocked it out of the park. Superior is exactly how it feels when you watch professional movers work. I found them through a friend who had recently moved. Booked over the phone a week and a half ago with Chris. They get here 20min early and we weren't even fully packed. The guys had everything on hand from boxes, tape, shrink wrap, moving blankets... And this really cool huge box on wheels they called a gondola. I went to go grab tacos for everyone an pull cash to tip these guys. I got back 45 min later and they were loading up the last few big items in the trailer! I was astounded. My mother In law (who finds no joy in rainbows, sunsets, or dolphins...) Had practically adopted Chris and Brand. Anyway... They will be the only choice for us in the future. We booked for 3 hours, they got it done, even with packing up our daughter's room and half the kitchen... In 2 hours and 37 min start to finish. Chris adjusted my time and the extra packing to no extra charge. So it was still exactly what we'd agreed upon on the phone for 3 hours. I was expecting all these hidden fees and packing fees... And instead I was treated as if I was an old friend. They put every thing in the separate rooms in such a way that unpacking is gonna be a breeze. They treated my family and our things as if we were more than just customers and stuff. Man, I don't write reviews, I always diy to save a buck. As I write this review feeling like $200 tip, some tacos, and the actual bill for 3 hours. . After what they saved me in all the stress saved. Was 2 1/2worth every bit, I will be using Superior moves in the future. I wholeheartedly encourage anyone who needs to move.... Especially if you've never hired movers... Using Superior Moves was the absolute best experience I never expected from a moving company/experience. An that is why they get 5 stars form me, once again. Today they showed up at my home in Pflugerville to move my roommate out. I have 4 kids here with immunity conditions, 2 of which are high risk. One man walked right in without wearing a mask at all. Walked straight upstairs to where we were without even once asking my roommate if that was OK. She said he blew past her and didn't even have time to ask him to put one on. Then his helper, a younger guy, walks in with a banana over his mouth before his nose. I immediately stop them and tell them these kids have an immunity dossier and I need them to wear masks. The older guy says "oh sure", and proceeds to contribute having things without his damn mask and talking. He finally leaves and grabs a mask that he then only pulls over his nose once he's walking up the stairs in my house, as if I don't have a camera and know he's walking around in my house downstairs with it under his nose. The timer guy keeps his banana before his nose. I tell my roommate and she says the bandana guy told her he had a mask on underneath. I, not seeing it and clearly seeing his nose, ask him if he's wearing a mask. He sets no. I again tell him, I really need him to be covering his nose. These kids could get really sick if they catch covid. He asks if I have a mask for him then. I do, so I grab 2 KN95 sterile wrapped masks and give them to the guys. The guy in the bandana proceeds to put the mask over his bandana, under his fricken nose!!!!! I, finally having enough, said "look n I'm not trying to be a pain. But these kids could get very sick. Covid could kill my daughter. I need you to wear the mask properly. He proceeds to argue with me that he's got two coverings. I say yes, over your mouth and the masks is on incorrectly. He continues to argue, in front of all the kids mind you, and telling me that I need to stop and that he doesn't need to. Then he goes into my bathroom saying "damn, I've got the bandana on and that's more than I even need to do now". I said "dude, you're in my home. These kids can get sick. I need you to put the masks on under your bandana and over your nose". He then drops the bandana off and tells me I need to go stop putting that juju out there as he puts the masks on his face and then covers it with the bandana. Which he then pulls both down below his nose again! He finally adjusts them over his nose and continues walking around grabbing my roommates things while grumbling crap at me. I do not recommend these movers. They are unprofessional and clearly do not care about your safety. My roommate says they assured her at booking that they wear masks and are very careful. I booked Superior Moves in Dec. 2020 for a 2 part move (apt - storage unit - new home), and unfortunately, did not get the service I hoped for. Chris was very responsive and informative during our Yelp communications, but the movers sent were fairly disappointing. For starters, they showed up 2 hours late (11am for a 9am scheduled start). Chris told me it was due to a tire problem on the truck; the movers then called to say they'd be showing up soon but they just needed to get gas first (!!!). It's hard to come back from a 2 hour delay, but one of the movers (Brad) seemed to have a fair amount of experience, and actually looked like he know what he was doing. His partner though, was an utter joke as a mover. Showed up with a cigarette tucked in his ear, pants half down his bum, (fine as a stylistic choice, less practical when you're moving furniture), and headphones on (which he attempted to wear for the first hour of the move, until he finally got tired of them getting tangled up or caught on stuff). I felt like my move was being completed by someone's skinny teenage kid farmed out for a weekend allowance. The kid also made no attempt to wear a mask despite current recommended COVID precautions. A couple of notes: Movers showed up driving a pick-up truck towing a trailer; not a major issue but did make it more difficult to park than a regular U-haul truck might have been. Aside from a few other small snafu's, the move got done, and they did knock off a half hour from the final time/price given their late arrival. They moved me from a storage unit to a house, and had plenty of their own materials and labor. At the storage unit, they were quick and careful. At the house, they were extremely mindful of protecting the walls and floors, and were more than willing to assemble and hookup my furniture and appliances (I prefer to do this myself).
