Horrible customer service. 2 hours late without any call. We called this company 5 times before we got a call back. When we finally got a call back, the movers said he would only give us 10% off. I told him that we wasted an entire day waiting for his movers and so he decided to give us 20% off. When I said sure but I'm still annoyed because we wasted the day, the mover said he can give us a free move. When I accepted the free move, he said he as being facetious and he will not be giving us a free move. When I told him he can't joke like that with customers he laughed and then said "We will be there in 15 minutes buddy!" Never use this moving company. After an hour after talking to the movers, we finally texted them and asked them where they were. The same person texted "they're on their way" finally we told them to forget it and went with someone else. Hired them to do a move from Leander to downtown Austin. 2 bedrooms of furniture, 2 walk in closets of clothes, dining room table and 3 chairs, 2 flat screen tv's with stands and electronics and speakers. About 30 med boxes in garage, A few large boxes. The house was 1800 sf to give perspective. The 2 man team arrived promptly at 9:00 as planned. They were very nice guys. During the week I had moved everything into boxes and tape them to make moving quicker. The only things that were boxed was the two beds and of course the table and chairs three nightstands speakers and two bicycles . They began at 9:30 and I was estimating it would take two hours to load onto the truck. It actually took five hours. Part of that came from complete disassembly of the beds down to nuts and bolts been removed as well as the table being disassembled and everything wrapped in blankets. Even the Bose speakers were wrapped in blankets and Taped. The good part is that everything was sure to arrive undamaged the downside is when you're paying by the hour that is a long tedious and to some extent unnecessary precaution for many things. We were finally on the move to the apartment complex. Most of the items were going to the apartment some of the items were going on the same floor in a different part of the building to a storage room. The apartment was not on the first floor, and the length of the walk added to the time but they did have an elevator that was hardly used by anyone else. The move took a total of 10 hours which seemed a little long. I also paid extra $10 apiece for wardrobe boxes so our clothes would hang during the move. I found several did not incorporate the hanging mechanism and the clothing was piled in the boxes and in one case a stereo component put on top of the clothes which made me wonder why I paid extra for wardrobe boxes. The two movers were respectful and nice throughout the process. If I used them again I would probably get a firm quote or pay by the job.** I would be confident that fragile objects would make it intact. A few months ago Soleil moved us from our home in Austin to El Paso. We agreed to use a 36' truck and were billed accordingly. When movers arrived to El Paso we discovered they had instead used a 29' foot truck and a small trailer. Thousands of dollars of our belongings were missing. This was doubly offensive as numerous items we instructed Soleil in our walkthrough to leave in Austin were included. in fact, ever single item we instructed Soleil to leave in Austin was moved to El Paso. This included shelving and fixtures attached to the Austin house that legally were not ours to move. Some items were discovered at our house in Austin, abandoned and unidentified by the movers. Many were not. Some items did not arrive in El Paso and were not found in Austin. They simply disappeared. One of the items missing at our move-in were the screws to reassemble our beds and our children's cribs. I called to ask Soleil to contact the movers to determine where they had put them. I spoke to a manager who promised to talk to the drivers and get back to me. I never received a phonecall back. Numerous items were seriously damaged. I have moved 10 times in the last 13 years, so I am familiar with normal wear and tear from moving. I expect scuffs and small scratches. The huge scrapes, gouges, and damage to our belongings, however, demonstrate a total lack of normal care with our belongings. After documenting all of this, I sent two emails to Soleil to give them an opportunity to do right and, at the bare minimum, explain where our missing belongings were. They did not make any response. At this point there is no reason to believe that Soleil did not engage in outright theft of our belongings in addition to their severe negligence. Their incompetence and absolute absence of customer service is appalling and the real price you will pay for their unprofessional service. read more

I made a moving reservation with Coster on May 17 for June 23. I had to cancel my move and I gave over 29 days notice. Coster said he would refund my deposit since I gave so much advanced notice. It was a Friday when I called and he asked me to text him and remind him Monday, so I did. Then nothing. I have texted, called, and emailed repeatedly for my refund, and I have only gotten one response from him, the whole time, on June 14th he texted back and said "I am going to have to try to get it out to you shortly". We chose this company because they were a tad cheaper than their competitors and let me say, we didn't even get what we paid for. Boxes went missing, things were left in the house, items we had asked to be excluded from the move were packed up and included, and damage, damage, damage. Really, it all came down to laziness. In order to book with them we asked that they use a larger truck. When they arrived we saw they used a smaller truck and a trailer. Obviously, it was a tight squeeze, because everything has a scratch or gouge. They just didn't feel like disassembling the kids' cribs, so one came to us cracked and both were banged up. I've moved almost every year for the last 12 years and am familiar with wear and tear, but this was excessive. When my husband contacted Soleil to ask about missing boxes they never responded. Because of the random contents of the boxes (vintage video games and a pricey Dyson dustbuster, for example) I don't think they were stolen, just misplaced or neglected. What was quoted as a 2-4 hour job turned into over 9 hours, they were two hours late, did not come prepared with any tools or enough shrinkwrap to protect furniture, did not bring a big enough truck, damaged almost every piece of furniture and every appliance they touched, damaged the walls and floors of our new home, caused a major gas leak by incorrectly connecting the dryer, and over one month later, still has not honored their contract to pay for damages. I spoke with the owner Coster on multiple occasions, and he did not know how to file an insurance claim nor had any forms for me to complete. Spend your money elsewhere and make sure your furniture, home, and family is safe. I spoke to an attorney already. The next time I see Coster will be in court because it seems that is the only way he will honor his company's contract. read more

They moved me from a storeroom to an apartment and I found a box broken and left at the bottom of the stair case not even close to where they where moving my stuff so they left my boxes and furniture unattended and someone stole some plus they where so slow that it cost me double of what it should of. No one will return my calls or address how my boxes ending at the bottom of the stairs I still don't know how many I'm missing. They never even counted or took inventory of what they moved. I am new to ATX and I needed my UHaul unloaded... I submitted my request online on some random site & the manager reached out the following morning with joy and excitement in his voice. With his enthusiasm I was very pleased to book them that upcoming Sunday. YES!, they work on Sunday. Unfortunately, traffic was crazy leaving out and I missed my time slot but the movers were very understanding and waited. When I arrived Chris & Daniel were ready. I had some pretty heavy furniture and the 2 of them moved things all by themselves. I really did love their attitudes and they made the moving experience fun and funny... I recently moved a large storage container across the country and was quite stressed about how movers were going to unload the container down my very steep tree lined driveway. When I called , they suggested a box truck to load from the container into, then back down the driveway.. Three awesome guys showed up with the truck and quickly and professionally made several trips down with the truck, even figuring out how to get some very size able furniture into a complicated area.. Everyone from the scheduler, to the owner, to the movers were absolutely wonderful, and I would highly recommend them for any move you might have. These guys really came through for me. A month ago, I moved from North Leander to South Austin, with several stops in between. I had originally hired Keep Austin Moving, but despite several communications with that company on showing up in the morning, "Keep Austin Moving" did not show up nor did the mover know he was supposed to show up. This same day....I called Soleil Moving. I spoke with Coster. I told him my issue with the other movers and he pulled a crew together, rented a large trailer to help me. Coster showed up with one of his movers and they started packing my storage unit, the other 2 guys showed up and they finished packing it up and went to my apartment. There was packing and unpacking and these guys were very respectful and without complaint just started working very hard. They worked until nearly 11 pm that same evening and got the job done. I have used Soliel Moving on several occasions and have found their work to be outstanding. My daughter was moving across the state and needed a mover and luckily I found Coster Saint Germain (the owner) and his company. We rented a pod for storing her large household goods and Coster's crew packed it for us. The remaining household items were stored at my home temporarily. When it came time for the final move, Coster's crew came and loaded the UHaul truck for us. I talked Coster into having his crew unload both the truck and pod at our final location in College Station. The entire move went very well---nothing broken and nothing scratched. In all, I was exposed to two different crews and both did an outstanding job! I found the character of each of the crew members to be very high---just like their owner, I am a realtor and I am exposed quite often to people moving their household goods. I must say I did a lot of research before I picked a moving company and really liked the reviews of this company. Little did I know it would be a total disappointment. To start, I've never left a bad review for anybody. Even with bad service. I was scheduled to move on June 3rd, but something came up with my lease so I asked Coster if my date can be changed to June 1st at the same time (7am). He said no problem, sounded very accommodating over the phone, so I carried on. On moving day, 7:30 came around so I called to see if everything was okay. Coster called me back apologizing. There was a mix up and they didn't change the date on their books. However, he said he could still get movers to come in two hours at the latest (9:45am). I get it. Mistakes happen. I make them often so I'm patient with people. The problem was that my mother was already on Greyhound bus heading to San Antonio to help me unpack. Her bus was scheduled to arrive at 12pm. I was in Austin. I told Coster this and he offered to pay for an Uber. My mom is very old fashioned and well...old. She would not get in an Uber or taxi by herself. So he agreed to deduct the cost of her bus fare ($45). It sounded fair, but that still didn't change the fact that she would be waiting. Long story short, they didn't arrive until 11:45am. Almost 5 hours later than the 7am pickup. He did bring more men to make the loading faster since mom was waiting, but by the time everything was done, it was 5pm and my mom was sitting at the bus station for 5 hours. His men were great. No complaints about them even though two boards were broken during the move. They were loose already so I get it. Things happen. What upset me was that Coster still owes me $45 and a receipt to use for my tax records. He called me after I emailed and acknowledged that he did owe me $45 and asked for my address to send a check and receipt. It's been two months and I've emailed him multiple times. He stopped answering my emails even after I told him I was ready to dispute the charge with my credit card company. I've never had to do that either, but it looks like I will have to do that today. Another thing: Be prepared to pay with CASH or you will be charged a percentage to use your credit card. He never told me this. I had 5 hours to go to the bank and take out cash while I waited for him and not once did he mention it. Again, his staff was great and they deserve whatever reward they get for a good review. His staff will get 4 stars, but overall it's still 1 star for me. Until this is settled, I would not recommend them. I'm still waiting for that receipt and refund. read more

This company advertises on Craigslist, a rate of $75.oo per hour for residential moving services which includes two movers and a truck. When I emailed my information to the owner, Michael, (I have a one bedroom going to storage 4 blocks away) he responded with a quote of $1,600.00, as well as an incredibly weird email in response to my email declining his services due to the obvious change in prices...We ultimately went with Soleil Moving which is licensed and insured and gave us an estimate of under $400.00. The email from Maverick owner, Michael, is below verbatim (I take no credit for his typos): My declining email - Hi Michael: Thank you for taking the time to estimate a quote for us. Unfortunately, the estimate is nowhere close to the competitive prices you post on Craigslist. The moving.com calculator feature is helpful, but not in line with the Austin market. We will be going with another moving company. Owner's response - Your entitled to you to you opinion- but moving.com is updated to the Austin market (so you are wrong on that). What get's me at times is that people think because we are on craigslist that we are going to do moves for pennies (most our moves come through our referrals-Amber throws some ads up because it is another SMALL way to get more business). Look at the fake/garbage ads on craigslist-most are not real pics/they are not licensed or bonded/can not spell or write, so you get what you pay for out there (the inept get's us business).--I get calls every week from customers that hired movers that don't show up for jobs or start a job and the customer realizes they hired amateurs. In every business there has to be a more high end place to shop at so to speak (it's gets even higher then us-so I'm surprised at your email but then again I can tell that your not fully educated in the moving business). I can buy a dollar burger at Mcdonalds or go to Roaring Fork and buy a 20 dollar burger. We are the 20 dollar burger, it's not for every one. We stay busy and been busy since 1999 so I know I'm doing something right. When your dealing with 300,000-1 million dollar homes in the Austin market with $30,000-$100,000 of personal belongings our prices are with high standards to get the belongings from home A to home B without DAMAGE. I saw an AD on craigslist for moving. I talked with Michael and he said he would send me a quote I thought all was cool at that time. Later Michael sent me an email falsely accusing me a things I said I had no idea what he was talking about. I arranged with a professional mover and asked Michael not to contact me anymore after Michaels False allegations. Michael continued to send me harassing emails, this was so bad I had to file a complaint against Michael and Maverick Moving with the TX Attorney General along with Craigslist. DO NOT have Maverick Moving move you they are not legite. There are other moving companies that are fair, also would like to note that Maverick Moving does NOT have an website or company address only an AD on Craigslist advertising false info. read more

Great experience! The two man team, Coster and Thomas, were great on our move day. We had a trailer at the ABF terminal that needed to be emptied immediately. Coster accommodated us and was able to fit us in the FOLLOWING morning. The two unloaded the trailer quickly, in about 30 minutes. They then moved us into our storage unit that was on the 3rd floor. The move was completed in 2.25 hours which included the driving time, waiting for the very slow freight elevator at our storage facility and our extremely heavy boxes and furniture. Their rate was low but the service was superb. We expect 2 more moves in the following year and will definitely but requesting their services again. Highly recommended! read more
