DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY I have hired Michael Webster and his team for over 10 years and they have always done a wonderful job. Last weekend they were assigned to move my furniture back into our house after a renovation and it was a complete disaster. They showed up on time at the storage unit, but I thought something was off because only one guy, Fernando, seemed to be doing the majority of the work. After they loaded the furniture into the truck to transport our furniture to my house, only one guy showed up and 4 were supposed to show up. Mind you, I have a two story home. I guess Josh and Richard decided to take the day off and just not show up to finish the job. After 30 minutes of waiting for them to show up, I approached the truck where one of the guys was sleeping and asked where the other two movers were - at which time, he said he did not know and he was just supposed to be driving. I called and texted Michael, but he did not answer me. Later on, I overheard the man in the truck speaking with Michael on speaker phone and I asked Michael where the other two drivers were located. He did not know and did not seem to care. Finally, the gentleman in the truck said he would help Fernando. They were supposed to put the bed back together, but the other movers did not tape the parts to the bed before they placed them in the storage, (Josh and Richard) so our bed is still not put together. Later on, I heard Michael sold his company last Saturday, so he could care less about his customers. It is such a shame because my family (my sister works as a realtor and gave him a ton of business) has used Michael Webster for well over a decade and to say this is disappointing would be an understatement! I'd like to start off by saying that I think a good measure of the trust you can put in a company is how they deal with you when things go wrong. We arranged for the movers to come meet at my storage unit on Jan 1, 2020. We were ready to go but the movers were not there. We waited about 20 minutes until we learned that they were not able to get movers out that day. I was very disappointed but Michael got in touch with me and apologized and said that we could do the next day and that there would be no charge. The movers came on time today and did a great job so I gave them a tip for their service. They were great guys and were very careful with our stuff. I know that some times things can go sideways but I appreciate that this company chose to put us first; that means a lot. That's a valuable quality these days, so I trust and recommend these guys and would definitely use them again. I contacted Webster Moving through Yelp for a quote. Michael, the owner, and I messaged back and forth a few times and we set up a date and time for him to come out and look at what we wanted moved. It was mainly the heavy stuff, which included appliances and furniture, which some of the items were upstairs. Michael was very professional and very friendly. He gave us a very reasonable quote at the end of our walk and we then set the date. In the scheduled date, the moving team consisting of two employees, Rich and Anthony, showed up on time, introduced themselves, and went to work. Rich and Anthony, we both very professional and very friendly as well. It took them about two hours to get everything loaded up for transport to our new home. They took great care of our belongings as if it was their own, which included using padding, as well as wrapping it. They then proceeded to our new home and unloaded the items. They placed each item where Mrs. Texas instructed them to. Once they were done, we signed the order, handed them a check, and they departed.
