I recently hired Leon Moving LLC to assist with moving my newly purchased Mahogany bed, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. Upon arriving to pick up my furniture I was told by an employee of theirs by the name of "Zach" that the owner was out of town and they'd only take cash. Not knowing any better I accepted. They caused significant damage to my mahogany bed during the moving process. Despite my attempts to address the issue with the company, I was met with inadequate responses and a lack of accountability. It's disheartening to see a lack of professionalism and care for customers' belongings from a company that claims to provide quality moving services. In the end they denied accountability due to the owner being out of town. I would caution anyone considering hiring Leon Moving LLC to proceed with caution and thoroughly research their options before entrusting them with their belongings. The damage to my property and the company's lackluster response have left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. Overall, I cannot in good conscience recommend Leon Moving LLC based on my experience. read more

I contacted Leon Moving in Pflugerville about 3 weeks prior to making a move from Austin. I set up a date and time for 2 helpers to arrive and load a rented truck. OMG were they GREAT. I can't say enough good about them. They arrived on time in south Austin at a storage facility and immediately went to work. They moved a huge storage bin full of boxes (which had previously been packed) into a 26' moving truck. They were courteous, professional, efficient and quick. It took them 55 minutes! I thought it might take all day, but I was wrong. I then had them come to my residence and load some heavier furniture that I didn't place in the storage facility. That was efficiently completed as well and I would say it took all of 45 minutes. They brought dollies and heavy furniture moving equipment. They took the time to make sure all the items, boxes and furniture were securely tied down and I was ready to take the truck on a long cross country trip. I can't recommend these men enough and Leon Moving would definitely be my choice for any move you have coming up. Total cost was $350.00. Well worth it, because they did all the heavy lifting. Rome is a pro and got my stuff to me from an auction to the house without a hitch. We're using them again to move to the Hill Country based on a great prior experience. Highly recommended. One hitch is the office...frequently I've left messages that don't get returned. I had to find Rome's cell phone and approach him directly, and he pleasantly and quickly responded. If downsizing wasn't bad enough this company made it 100 times worse with the total lack of care & consideration they showed for my things. I've waited over 4 months to review this business because it seems each day I discover something else broken: 50" tv screen--irreparable!; numerous gouges on both home entertainment centers; a large wooden chunk out of the leather couch leg; the footboard to my bed was gouged; the bottom of a tall fan base broken; a library style desk lamp glass shade broken; and more damage done will, no doubt, be revealed as we empty 2 storage units & find more damage. These items were in great condition before this company got their truly awful hands on my things. I'm a 70 something yr young woman who places high value on my hard earned expensive furniture & accessories & seeing the condition of numerous items is simply as heartbreaking as it is egregious in how my things were treated. Then, after all that, I just want to spit nails & chew leather at the $1917.50 bill I was presented at the end of that day!!! Not worth it by half as it turns out. I'd pursue this for any monetary damages I could get but pennies on the dollar....not worth the time & effort. I URGE ANYONE CONSIDERING USING THIS BUSINESS NOT TO DO SO!!!! Kim returned my call within 2 minutes, took my info, quoted the fee and schedule led the pickup for that afternoon. Friendly, courteous, and even called to ask if I wanted them to come 45 minutes early. They charge a 1-hour minimum, compared to many places that charge for 2 hours. Very fast and reliable. The part I liked the most is that they didn't have a minimum number of hours. I knew an apartment as small as ours would be less than 3 hours and some companies had a 2.5-3 hour minimum. We were loaded and unloaded in 2 hours! Called to say I could, as an option, have my furniture delivered earlier, and finally showed up exactly as promised and somehow got a table three times larger than the door frame into my kitchen. These guys currently have their truck and trailer parked in front of my business even though they are not a customer here nor are they moving anyone here. It's blocking off at least six parking spots at my front door. They are inconsiderate and unaware boneheads. They've just parked here and left the truck like it's no big deal. Hey genius, when driving a large rig, park at the edge of the parking lot so you aren't being rude to other people and businesses. These guys are great! We needed help unloading a Uhaul of furniture, so the job would only take an hour max. Most moving companies charge a 2 hour minimum, but these guys only had a minimum of 1 hour. And they were able to accommodate our specific timing request. We had requested 4pm as we were driving down from Dallas and wouldn't arrive any earlier. We received several emails confirming our appt, and just know, if you call and you don't receive an answer, someone does return your messages! The movers showed up close to on time (They had called to tell us they would be running a little late. Since we had booked the last appt in the day, it was totally understandable.) and were really nice and easy to communicate with. They unloaded the U-haul in 30 minutes and even took away all the plastic wrap trash that our furniture had been wrapped in. I would definitely use these guys again and highly recommend them for smaller moves in particular! read more

They did leave a few things behind at my old place that I had to go back and pick up. Decently priced- nothing damaged. It was a rainy day and they didn't put down plastic or something to prevent messing up the floors or the furniture- so that's the negative. Otherwise did okay with the move. We had an excellent experience with Leon! They were recommended to my parents by a friend of ours and then to us by my parents. We had them move our house and pack our kitchen. They did an outstanding job with both aspects. These guys were EXTREMELY hard workers. I got tired just watching them, and they never acted put out or worn out. They never complained. I actually tried to talk them into taking a few breaks here and there and to drink some water. Their pricing was very competitive and affordable. Nothing was broken (which anyone who has ever had movers knows is a rare occurrence). They showed me a desk prior to moving it that was a bit poorly constructed. They made sure to ask me if I wanted them to move it anyway knowing that it might not stay together. I told them to go ahead. It did come apart a little (as they warned me), and they spent extra time working on getting it back together once it was moved to our new house. Don't let the small number of Yelp reviews fool you. These guys are awesome. I've never met a harder more polite working bunch of movers and I've moved a lot! Rome made a two day move of a large home seem easy and stress free. They moved a number of very large heirloom quality pieces for us with no issues at all. They mashed the corner of my $3,000 hand carved, solid wood , mahogany desk while moving it to a consignment store and only offered .60 a pound $120 !! It doesn't matter what it's value is so beware ....as far as I'm concerned it's damaged and will never be the same as it was ...it is wood and it can be fixed to look like it was. It probably dropped the value at least $500. read more
