First off I know this is a food court vendor so my hopes were not high to begin with. However, I hope to save at least once person from choosing this place for their meal. PLEASE READ: Restaurant seems to have a hidden surcharge if you use a credit card/debit card! SEE PHOTOS. For various weeks I have gone here, using several credit cards. While I was charged (on the receipt) 13.12 for my order, the charge on my credit card said $13.51. This was not divulged to me in any fashion, and I never saw anything stated to the effect on the menu/sign. If I receive proof otherwise, I will amend this review. Each time, I was charged 39 cents more. Not sure if this is some set fee, or, it is based on what you order. Either way, this is sneaky if not downright illegal. I have contacted their corporate seeking further info on this. I know some places ARE adding surcharges for credit card usage (post Covid, rising costs, inflation, less business, various other reasons) - however - that HAS TO BE DIVULGED to the customer. Steak sandwich, really? It should be called onion sandwich. Bought it for my son he was unable to eat it full of 70% onion , 10% steak 15% cheese and 5% lettuce and tomato , had to throw this so called Philly steak sandwich away . This place has terrible customer service. Starts with the rude cashier. She does not greet you or smile. I said Thank you and she did not say anything back. As for the food it was ok. The steak sandwich was ok, fries were over cooked. My daughter ordered the chicken nuggets. She ate them but they didn't look appetizing at all. I will not be going back read more

Awful service! The older Hispanic man feels like the owner. We asked for extra mayonnaise on my husband's sandwich we didn't get it. We asked him to put some anyway, since we paid extra. He said I already gave you extra, but here. Like he was doing us a favor. I asked mine with no lettuce, tomato and mayo, guess what he put on mine.... Mayo. Awful customer service. One of my favorite eateries in the food court at whatever I go to. The Philly cheesesteak with its cheese onions and giardiniera peppers always hot the spot. Add fries with mild sauce and a bottle of cold water for tasty eating! read more

I ordered a chicken salad. Very disappointed the chicken is more like a chicken nugget, rubbery feel to it. I was expecting more like a grill chicken. I ate everything else except the chicken. I was hungry. Not worth my money. read more

Zero stars if I could. Horrible attitude and it seems like they don't listen to what you order. Who ever is that girls working in the front giving the food needs to be fired. There is no way someone with that horrible attitude and face someone like that would have a job in the real world. The cooks have a horrible attitude as well and argue with you about ingredient the original order has. I will never eat there ever again. And there food has no taste on top of it. If ever in the mall of fox valley, make your way down to the food court and enjoy the food of the gods! The "super steak" sandwich they serve at this place is so damned good I'd punch my grandmother in the face for a sample bite. I've never been to philly, but if they truly have better philly cheese steak there, I'd consider uprooting my family for some of that sweet meat. None of these employees have a grasp of what they are selling. Their first language is obviously Spanish the cashier cannot take your order as given. The cooks can not understand the order at task. I asked for a combo meal of the original Philly cheesesteak he asks if I want American cheese or nacho cheese I asked for nacho. He only charged me for the sandwich & a drink forgot my fries even after I asked for regular fries. They don't have any trays for you to walk your meal to find a seat. So had to walk around twice with my food in hand & carrying bags so it was difficult. Then I finally sit down to eat just to find out they didn't add the cheese to my philly cheese steak sandwich. I walk back & explain to this rude Mexican lady & she's just staring at it saying I didn't order that. I said yes I did I paid for it can you just make things right & add the cheese. She just kept repeating herself so I go look first your cashier couldn't get my order right I had to pay twice separately cuz he forgot my fries & now you can't make my food right. I said when is anyone around here gonna get things right? I've already paid for this, needless to say she flipped her lid & started cursing me out in Spanish. Like if you have no clue what an original philly cheese steak sandwich is maybe you need to go sell something your familiar with in her case tacos! The cashier intervened and added the cheese then put her in the back room but honestly she should have gotten fired on the spot. Who curses someone out over cheese? Absolutely disgusting. Everything was over microwaved to be reheated. Fries were soggy and raw. Potato skins were somehow burnt yet undercooked. The food had no taste whatsoever. Normally this place is great for a quick mall bite. Something changed here and it's not worth wasting your money. Staff was rude, they looked like they wanted to be anywhere but there. They slapped the messy food all over the counter and wouldn't even give me A tray to carry it on. read more

Possibly the best cheesesteak ("Original", i.e. Cheese Whiz and onions) I've had since I left the east coast. This could be a 5 star option if: 1) the roll were more crusty 2) the onions were chopped more uniformly 3) there was a little more meat/cheese in the sandwich (ratio to bread was a little low) Meat was a little salty and had a few small pieces of gristle (which I've never encountered in a cheesesteak before), but overall recommended. read more

Been going here for years. The only reason I can get my husband into the mall. We love this location's food and it's actually comparable to an authentic Philly cheesesteak sandwich! Yum! I ordered a loaded baked potato...I think called the king potato or something along those lines. It was def big enough to be a compete meal. Wow, they do not skip on the toppings. The cheese and sour cream were plentiful. Chives weren't fresh, but I guess the dried ones will do. Also ordered a orange, strawberry, and banana smoothie. It was no Jamba Juice, but still pretty good and filling. I think it was def one of the better choices in the food court. read more

Okay, I know this sounds weird but they have this chicken philly cheese sandwich here that is fabulous. I used to work at a store in Fox Valley Mall and my manager asked me to go to the food court and get her this sandwich and it smelled so good I had to get one for myself. Gross dirty no sanitation. Workers running cash register, making food, answering phone, drinking and eating and not washing hands or using gloves. Saw worker take old fries that had been sitting in basket on fryer rack and throw new fries in with them and then serve them as fresh. Floors and trays filthy, stay away. Only saw one worker put on gloves after using cash register before making mall employees food. read more
