Yum yum yum! One of my favorites to visit. Wow this place is just delightful. Headed in last weekend and got 2 sandwiches. They were both amazing as usual on the freshest bread. My favorite part is trying the sample breads at the counter, except it always makes me buy more stuff. Earned a free cookie with our rewards and had the salted caramel. I've never stayed there to eat but I love their bread. The cinnamon crumble is amazing. I get it sliced. I split it up in fourths and freeze 3/4 of it. It freezes very well and thaws like it's just out of the oven. People there are always helpful as well. read more

I was so sad when the Great Harvest store in Laguna Niguel closed. There wasn't any other store near where I lived. That was almost 8 years ago and every now and then I still crave their honey wheat bread spread with butter and drizzled with honey. So I went on their website to see if there is any new store near where I live now in Riverside. It was a wonderful surprise to see one in Temecula. I went there last Sunday. The store was clean and big with lots of tables. The girl that was helping me was nice and friendly. I love how they still offer a slice of bread for you to try while you decide on what to get. Yum! Honey whole wheat tasted just like how I remember. I bought a loaf of honey whole wheat and 3-cheese bread and finished them in two days. I need to make another trip soon! It's about a 40 minute drive but it's so worth it. Next time I go, I will try something from the sandwich menu. read more

Met my friend here to have lunch. I got the Wine Country sandwich while my friend got the Tuscan Chicken Panini. While in line, we were offered to sample one of their breads, which today happened to be a cinnamon bread. I declined at first because I'm not big on cinnamon, but when I saw the clerk cut a slice for my friend, it looked so soft and I changed my mind. I LOVE soft bread! Then I took a bite and was so enjoying it! That in itself tells me that I am in for treat! The Wine Country sandwich was delicious and the white bread I selected was perfect. The quality overall was spot on. I bought a bag of the salted caramel cookies and wow! Rich but delicious. Hubby can't wait to try one of their sandwiches when we are in Temecula the next time. I drove 1 hr and 40 minutes, crawling through traffic on the 15 fwy, past the hellish construction area around the 91, accidents between Murrieta and Temecula to get here to have lunch. The spinach, Parmesan and red pepper combination has flavor that is phenomenal and a enough substance to fill you up but light enough to still make a great sandwich. Delicious homemade bread made using the best ingredients - yum. Their cinnamon raisin bread is like cake. I toast it and the entire house smells like I've been baking for hours. Their bread might seem pricy but when you pick up the loaf, you'll see why. These are dense loaves and small slices go a long way. Sometimes I'll cut the loaf in half and freeze part of it while we're working on the other half. They freeze really well. Just wrap them in foil then in a ziploc. Thaw in the fridge by taking out of the ziploc and slightly loosening the foil. I've never made their mixes but I have a few friends who rave about them. They sell Cafe Bravo coffee (local) but to my disappointment they do not sell ANY form of hot tea. Apparently there is some weirdo thing going on with the fact that Starbucks is in the same shopping center (which seems weird because they do sell coffee, but whatever....go figure.) Super friendly and helpful counter service. The line can get long but it always moves quickly. Rustic and charming decor. Table seating indoors & a few outdoor tables. Kid-friendly and also dog-friendly at the outdoor tables. (They have a doggie water dish outside.) Family owned (two sisters & their husbands, I believe) and sometimes grandpa works the counter too. read more

I love Great Harvest! My husband and I have been going here for over a year now, and there isn't one thing I've had here that I didn't love. Great Harvest is a family owned business. Every day they make fresh baked breads and sweets from scratch and they do it without any extra additives or preservatives. You can also get sandwiches here made with their freshly baked bread, which are quite tasty if I do say so myself. Another cool thing is that you can purchase local products like jams, honey and my personal favorite, Bravo coffee that's made right here in Temecula! And an added bonus, they even use local honey in the bread. We frequently buy the honey whole wheat loaf (they actually mill their own whole wheat flour fresh everyday) and it's so moist and delicious it good even without anything else on it. Seriously, I've been known to just start ripping pieces off the loaf before we even get it home. We have also tried a lot of the other breads, and my other favorites are the cheddar garlic, and the cinnamon....OMG AMAZING!! They are always very generous with the samples here, and along with their breads, will even sample out their sweets. Which reminds me....the bread pudding is to die for! And I never was a fan of bread pudding until a tried it here. The pumpkin bread pudding (which they should have again in the fall) is my absolute favorite, but the others are just as good. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it! Tip: Make sure to get a punch card, buy 12 loafs of bread, and get your 13th free. Trust me you'll get your free loaf quicker than you think. When we were visiting Temecula for a few days, on the first day I found this on Yelp and so we gave it a try... we each ordered a breakfast panini and were SO amazed and in heaven that we came back EVERY day of the rest of our trip for breakfast and ordered the exact same thing. Lol!! The breakfast sandwich has this unreal garlic spread (so if you don't like garlic, maybe ask for less or for it off). I really wanted to like this place more than I did. Sandwiches were so so. Got our order to go. I ordered roast beef and asked for rare and was told they would do that. Nope. It was definitely dark brown and not juicy, but the amount of meat was decent on mine. Hubby got a hot roast beef and his meat portion was small. Bread was Italian Parmesan and underwhelming. The biggest disappointment was paying $8.50 for a loaf of cinnamon apple bread that once we cut into was barely scattered with apples and hardly any cinnamon. The bread was bland and we had to butter each piece and add our own cinnamon and sugar. Sadly, I can't recommend this place over the other choices in the area for lunch or even pastries. read more
