Incredibly overpriced for what you get. $50 for salmon that was undercooked and bland. 15 for an old fashioned that had more ice in it than an igloo. Service was mediocre and rushed. Felt like all they wanted to do was get us out so they can get the next person in the door. Will not come back. read more

Like the reviewer below- Howie, I'm also from DC and know a good restaurant. Maybe we didn't order the right things, but a great restaurant shouldn't have anything on the menu subpar. My pasta didn't have much flavor and was overcooked. My husband's scallops were perfectly done, but sadly the accompanying items were not what was listed on the menu. The scallops were served on a bed of overcooked mush of peppers and onions. The atmosphere is fantastic, but the food was not worth the money. read more

Our family has high standards and regularly eat at some of the finest restaurants in several large cities and Grappa is well worth the trip and the expense (unlike several others owned by the same company). Great service. Beautiful room and views (third floor) Great food Would highly recommend. Osso Bucco is a hit! read more

I was recently in Park City with my family, and a friend of ours suggested we eat here. SO glad we did!! It was probably one of my top 5 meals of my life. The service was excellent and the food was incredible. We had one of their flatbreads - which are not actually very flat at all. They're more of a normal pizza crust, but the dough is AMAZING. There were 4 of us, and we pretty much argued the entire time we were eating our entrees about who had the best one! We had the spaghetti and meatballs (awesome if you like spicy things), the lasagna, and the risotto of the day. ALL were fabulous. It will be the first place I go back next time I'm in Park City! read more

I feel generous giving this two stars. I went to this place as a party of 9, early in the day (5:30 pm) with a reservation. The service was terrible. Perhaps they were understaffed (the place was empty when we got there) or perhaps they weren't expecting a semi-large group (we had a reservation days in advance), but we did not get much service at all. We were stuck in a corner and basically ignored most of the night. Several tables of 2-4 people came in the restaurant after we were seated and got served their entrees before our order was even taken. The server never checked on our table to see if we needed anything and we needed to track her down on occasions just to get some water. It was a very negative experience for our entire group. The reason I am giving it 2 stars is because the food was decent (everything except the New York Steip). The Osso Bucco was well made and tender. The Scallops were perfectly seasoned and delicious. The New York Strip was rubbery and overcooked. It is overpriced for what we got; however, we knew that going in. We weren't expecting the arrogant attitudes and horrible service. This has been a place I've been wanting to try for quite a while; however, I am not likely to go back, and I for sure will not be going back with more than 3-4 people total. It was very disappointing for my whole group. read more

Was in town last Friday for Sundance and came here to have a nice, hearty Italian meal for a cold, winter night. As some of the other reviewers have mentioned, this place is WAY overpriced. First of all, while waiting for our table we got two glasses of wine at the bar. $29! Are you kidding me? $29? I could have scored two better tasting bottles of wine at Bevmo for that price. Next, once we were seated, the only option was a $75 pre-fixe for which only two entrees were offered at that price. Other entrees had sur-charges upwards of $25 and up. The food was second rate. My gnocchi dry, tasteless and swimming in oil, my crab bisque had no crab meat to be found and my sea bass was way over salted. I completely encourage others to eat elsewhere. read more

Grappa was suggested to me by a Seattle friend. A friend and I went there and we had a fabulous meal - venison with black truffle sauce and my friend had lamb. We enjoyed the mussel appetizer. We took our own bottle of wine and paid the $10 corkage fee. This was a good move because even with the fee we enjoyed a great bottle of wine at a modest cost. I only gave it 3 stars instead of 4 because the server had thought we had gotten our appetizers and we had not. As a result we were still enjoying our appetizers that had finally come when our entrees arrived soon thereafter. I felt rushed. And, my entree, totally yummy was lukewarm and not hot. The price point was appropriate for an upscale restaurant in a tourist ski town. read more

SUPER crowded... did I mention, SUPER crowded? That's the first impression you get when you walk into Grappa. As we stood waiting for our table to be ready, I began to get irritated. We were on time but had to wait, at least 15-20 minutes to get seated. My anger began to dissipate when a waitress offered me a free glass of champagne - NICE customer service. When we finally were seated we were ushed up two flights of stairs to the third floor... who knew such a teeny-looking place had so many tables? The atmosphere was "very Italian"... crowded like you're eating at Mama Mia's house when lots of chatter and appropriate decor. The menu was phenomenal. I was pretty full from a delicious meal at Deer Valley (see Royal Street Cafe) so I opted for their signature dishes: Grappa's Acclaimed Mushroom Soup and the Grape and Gorgonzola Salad. Let's just say I wasn't disappointed. :-) Both were EXCELLENT and I highly recommend them both. If you've spent a day on the slopes and decided to go down Stein's Way and survive, treat yourself to a fantastic meal at Grappa. Just call WAY ahead of time to make reservations. read more

We had a great experience. We only sat down for appetizers as we needed a snack. We were pretty happy we did given the pricing! Glad that Park City has a higher-quality restaurant. Although the floor with views of Park City was closed. read more

Grappa is consistently "good enough" but never really blows me away... It's the kind of place that I always find enjoyable when I am invited by company, but I am never really compelled to choose it myself when considering Main for dinner. Love their locals specials in the summer though! Can't beat their $10 select entrees menu (regularly $25-$40) and $5 house wines. Their patio is really beautiful in the summer...don't think I'll be eating there this winter though. A little overrated. read more

We asked four or five locals and Grappa came up again and again. We were not disappointed. My osso bucco was rich and tender. Our antipasto appetizer was not run of the mill. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing. She suggested a wine to complement our meal and truly hit the mark. My only complaint was acoustics. We heard every detail of childbirth from a woman who was not that close to us -- in restaurant terms. read more

Grappa is better than the one star that some people are leaving. My wife and I come here about once per year. We ate upstairs at a corner table it was very intimate. The balsamic reduction for the bread was the best I have ever had. We also had the calamari with marinara sauce.....also excellent. I had the Osso Buco which fell off the bone with a fork, it was very good. They had a nice selection of wines by the glass that I liked. We didn't have desert but I did have a good expresso. The service was excellent the server was very accommodating, my wife always has several small requests when dinning and our sever completed them all with a smile and was very polite to us. read more

We have been coming to Grappa for several years as part of our annual ski trip vacation to Park City, UT. It has always been very good and that is why we return. This year, 2018, was no different. The hostesses were pleasant; and Kyra our server was attentive, knowledgable, and friendly. Cocktails and the grilled olives and fondue appetizer were delicious. We had one entree of six that was not satisfactory. Kyra and the manager were very responsive and replaced the dish - the replacement was promptly delivered and well received. The tiramisu dessert was one of the best, if not, the best rendition of that classic dish that I've ever had. The food, ambiance, and service were all exemplary. We enjoyed our visit thoroughly and will be back again. read more

Amazing staff.. amazing food!! Beautiful sitting outside.. My son also felt sick and they were amazing with helping me out. They went above and beyond to accommodate us before and after he didn't feel well.. Will absolutely be back.. what a lovely experience.. read more

Had dinner at Grappa on a Monday with their special "locals" menu and really enjoyed our time. They have a lovely multi-tiered patio for evening dinning which was great. The food and our server was awesome and we would definitely come back at our next visit to Park City. read more

Frequented the place on 1/15/14 right before the start of the Sundance festival. The setting is very rustic with a homey feeling. There is an extensive wine list. I might add that we went to the restaurant because it's the favorite of our friend who owns a place in Park City. We first started with the amuse bouche of a goat cheese panacotta. If you like goat cheese, you would love this. We got a flat bread consisting of arugula, basil, pine nuts and a balsamic vinegarette. We got entrees of lamb tagliatelle and is osso buco. Unlike a lot of the places in Park City, the portions were very generous and we ended up taking a doggy bag home. I would recommend this place as well. I might add that we were there for skiing and not part of the Hollywood film set. read more

In February we had a group of friends in town celebrating our anniversaries. I was able to get a Bill White restaurant gift card at Costco - you pay $80 for $100 worth of food at any Bill White restaurant in PC (and yes, you can split them up and use them at different restaurants.) I'll start off by saying how glad I am that we got a reservation WELL in advance. It looked like Wall Street in the foyer with people yelling across the room, "Table for four! Four! Yes, me!" "I need two coats! Two black down coats!" Ski season, gotta love it! We were seated immediately at a gorgeous table upstairs with an amazing view. I also have to say that I LOVE this location. Our friends were excited before they even got into the restaurant because of the lovely building. Our server (who was PERFECT the whole meal) brought us bread and a tasty dipping sauce while we looked at our menus. We all tried each others meals, and each dish was great. Everyone agreed that the seasonal butternut squash risotto stole the show. Luckily it was mine and I got to take half home to eat the next day. Great food, wonderful views, decent prices for the experience, beautiful restaurant - we'll go back! read more

From out of town and Grappa was recommended by a local friend of ours. Had a reso for the patio and promptly seated in the most beautiful setting. The patio had a great wow factor, table was set beautifully with white table cloth, unique bread plates. We were soon greeted by our server Kristy. She was absolutely charming, engaging, very poised and polished. She was quick to address all of our questions with great knowledge of the menu. She was the real star or this restaurant. We all come from a restaurant background and we all quickly realized the professionalism and grace she added to the overall experience. Food was, simply put, overpriced for what you got. Calamari and Brussel sprouts were great. The bread was delicious but served with a balsamic vinaigrette which we all thought was odd. We requested olive oil and balsamic w/ salt and pepper, much better. Caesar salad was cumbersome and served with little blocks of parmesan. This seemed to far from a traditional Caesar. Ossobuco was somewhat bland and really missing the savory factor, broccoli rabe felt like an after thought. Salmon was ok again for the price, just ok. Bolognese again was on the bland side without the creamy savory factor. Everything was a little under seasoned and just missing the high dollar wow factor. The real wow factor at Grappa is the beautiful patio, and the charming server Kristy. read more

This place was amazing. Great food great ambience fabulous service. I highly recommend everybody trying it the grape salad was so Delicious

We had a lovely 25th anniversary dinner at Grappa last night. The hostess definitely could be a little more friendly, but our waitress made up for it by taking excellent care of us. We had the filet and the Branzino. It was all delicious and what an amazing patio! read more

My family and I are new to the area but not new to fine dining. The place is very cozy and has great decor. The server we had wasn't the best. They served someone in my party a wrong type of wine and questioned us on it (we know our wine). Although they did come through as to what wine to go with my linguine with clams, the clams themselves were not good. I would recommend this place for good wine and apps, their main courses are lacking. read more

Nice ambiance, not so great food & over priced. Kids had spicy meatball pasta - over cooked meatballs. I had a steak and I wish I had a saw to get through the fat. Daughter had duck - boring. Fondue appetizer didn't have enough fondue and it was cold. Wouldn't go back. read more

Grappa - Italian Near Me - Park City, Utah

Pros: Romantic setting Patio / garden area Service Cons: Pricey all around Least expensive bottle of wine starts at $44 Table placement in certain areas Brought my beautiful girlfriend here for her birthday dinner a few weeks ago. We made a reservation just in case but it was mid-week september and the place was only a quarter full. We were seated outside at a nice table centered below an arch in a garden-like area. Although our table was outstanding, I can see how other reviewers have gotten crappy seats. My advice would be to make sure to ask for exactly what you want when you make the reservation for a special event. Onto the food - we tried the chicken w/ proscuitto and the salmon. The salmon was wonderful, very flaky and served to my liking. Both dishes were very filling as they're served with pasta. We had an overpriced bottle of red that was delicious, but, like i said, pricey. The vanilla creme-brulee was very good and capped off a nice leisurely dinner. I will go back, but on my ski-bum salary, probably only on special occasions and during summer dining deals! read more

Perfect for: the people who love Italian food and swear the best place is somewhere else but always searching for some food Italian food. Also with its unique architecture almost every seat in the house is the best making it perfect for dates or group outings. Service: I was here during one of the busiest times of the year, for Sundance Film Festival. We were seated for our 9:15 reservation around 9:20pm. The server had an outstanding personality and helpful attitude. We were served in a very timely manner. The wine list was extensive and fairly priced compared to other places. The food was amazing to the sight and taste. I had the asparagus flat bread which was delicious with hot Parmesan falling off the bread. Next course I had was the garden salad. I'm not big on salads but it was one of the lightest, yet most fulfilling salads I've ever had. I also had the lasagna with mushrooms and kale, pretty creamy but great choice for vegetarians looking to fill up. read more

Yum! Very romantic setting at the end of Main Street. The famous Osso Bucco was awesome and perfectly prepared. The gnocchi with house made meat sauce was so tasty I couldn't stop eating it! The soup sampler was a great option to try all the wonderful soups. The dessert was sort of disappointing as the creme brulee sugar coating was burnt and the creme was runny underneath. We were so looking forward to it and it would have been a perfect ending to our perfect meal. The coffee is very good though.... read more

We had an amazing dinner here on our honeymoon! The service and food were great! We even got there early and they made it work for us!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! ANOTHER BILL WHITE BLUNDER Thank heavens we had a gift certificate because there was nothing worth the $200+ we spent. My husband and I came here for my birthday dinner. First the restaurant was nearly empty, and what does the hostess do- cram us into a corner where litterally I have to keep my chair FULLY tucked in so that the other 3 tables surrounding us can get around. I am small person and I can't imagine how someone with a larger waste size would be able to sit in there. Second, we notified the server that I was expecting, and I understand not everyone knows all the ins- and outs of what a pregant woman can eat however, don't offer her a wine list. That is pretty well assumed that she isn't going to be drinking. To start we ordered the calamari. It was good pretty standard. We then ordered the Chef's flatbread of the night. It was probably my favorite part of the meal. It had pears and balsalmic, honestly it was better than my entree I had the mushroom soup. This was also a bigger hit than the entree. It wasn't too rich nor was it overly bombarding you with earthy mushroom flavors. I ordered the salmon. It was ok. It was cooked well and paired well with appropriate sides including an eggplant dish and an arugula salad, however I can honestly say that sides were the stars of the plate not the protien. For dessert we had the dark chocolate mousse. Meh more like a jello pudding that you make at home than a dark chocolate mousse in my book. Rumor around Park City is the servers who are in Bill White's restaurants are worthless and rude. Well this is no exception to that stereotype. If you are ini Park City my advice, skip this one! read more

We ended up picking this restaurant at random and I'm SO glad we did. We were seated upstairs next to a window, overlooking the beautiful snowy, tree-lit streets of Park City. Our server was Quincy, who was amazing. The two of us ended up getting our own soups (him - mushroom, me - butternut bisque, the soup du jour) and sharing the salumi flatbread, bolognese bianca and this incredible apple/pear pastry warm deliciousness topped with ice cream. We easily could have done with out the flatbread because we were so full by dinner's end, but it was all so amazing I didn't care how full I was. I loved the building and the decor - so quaint and intimate. We originally weren't seeking a super-romantic dinner, but that's what we got (no complaints!). Thank you, Grappa! read more

Grappa on downtown main street is excellent. The food is amazing and it is very traditional Italian style, with entrees that are beautiful pieces of art. They prepare amazing fish with Italian seasoning. They serve pasta has a separate course, just like in Italy where as other restaurants serve pasta with tomato sauce and that is it. In the summer it is fun to sit outside on their terrace. I am a fan of this group of restaurants and visit them frequently. If you are a local, you can often find a coupon for the restaurant. read more

Wow. What a great place. Star is in charge of running a seamless operation. Charming and focused. Johnny (who should change his name badge to Gianni) is knowledgeable and personable. Exceptional service. The food was, across the board, terrific. We had the grape and Gorgonzola salad, the special flatbread (really great) and Osso Bucco (good. A bit dry). Go. You won't be disappointed. read more

Over priced and underwhelming food. Service and atmosphere was good. Move on, better options nearby.

The meal was a disaster from Appetizers to Entrees. I'm not sure where to begin. This was perhaps the most disappointing meal i have ever had. After having had an acceptable meal a few years back, my friends and I gave Grappa another shot this past weekend. Our appetizer selection included the Wedding Soup (how you can get away with calling those tiny lumps of meat actual "meatballs" is beyond me). Outside of the poor presentation, the taste of the "meatballs" left a lot to be desired. if there was a highlight from the entire meal, perhpas it was the broth of the soup. Perhaps. Another appetizer was the Eggplant Fondue. How about serving crispy eggplant chips with the fondue instead of bread? Burying the eggplant in cheese hides the taste completely. I'm not sure why this dish even exists. The entrees were a complete disaster. The chicken Saltimboca was served rollatini style over completely overcooked bow-tie pasta. The Osso Bucco was tougher than a dried steak. You had to actually cut it off the bone with a knife and fork. Good Osso Busso should fall off the bone! Fall off the bone, not have to be pried. The replacement meal for the Osso Bucco which was returned was a simple penne in red sauce. The penne was overcooked (as was the bow-tie pasta). How do you overcook a replacement dish. I'll tell you how. It was pre-cooked and sitting in water. The kicker... When I sit down to eat a meal with an average entree in the $40 range, I expect fresh grated cheese if that is what the meal calls for. Not the pre-grated store bought dried crap that they serve. Perhaps this is harsh, but hopefully this helps them in the long run. For now, take your money and appetite elsewhere, unless of course you like overpriced bad food. read more

My all-time favorite dining experience in Park City. In 2010, I took myself there for my Birthday. The staff was courteous, and efficient. The chef was delightful, taking the time to sit with me awhile and bring out some of his newer creations to try. My lobster and steak dinner, memorable. The manager comp'd my dessert and glass of champagne. The ambiance gorgeous...a thorough delight. I will never forget Grappa. read more

Really loved this place - it was pretty chaotic in there and hard to get a table (although it was a busy time of year). We ordered the calamari starter (which was great) and pasta. It is pretty expensive but definitely worth the trip out if you're in town read more

We ate dinner here on December 25, 2017. The good: The atmosphere is very nice. The service was good. The bad: The food! The pasta dish was very bland. The duck was overcooked and dry. The veal was too salty. We are not adverse to paying high prices for good food, but we have eaten much better food at places that charge a fraction of the cost for a meal. We will not be returning. read more

We took a family trip to Utah for Christmas and just got back from dinner at Grappa Restaurant on Main Street in Park City. We booked our reservations before we came into town and were seated promptly at our reserved time which was nice because the kids were hungry. The Lobster Ravioli, Calamari and Brussel Sprout appetizers were all great. I had the Osso Buco and the meat just fell off the bone. The rest of the family [6 more] all were impressed with their meals and a couple of them said it was the best meal they had in Park City since we have been here. The desserts were also excellent. I had some chocolate hazelnut thing that was spectacular. However, what put me over the top to write this review was our server, Leon. We made jokes all through dinner and Leon was right on point with comebacks and comments. He also was very good in helping us avoid something we may not have liked as something else. He is very knowledgeable and charming. If for no other reason, I would go back just for Leon. Leon my friend, I was the idiot in there tonight [Monday 12/23] with the Santa hat on with the other 6 members of our family. If/when we come back to Park City we will hunt you down. Merry Christmas! Star - give Leon a raise! read more

I chose this place for our company dinner tonight and thought based on the reviews, this would be a special treat for our employees who worked hard all summer. However, not only based on my tastes, but from other comments around the table, the food was just ok, nothing spectacular and definitely not worth the $26 and above prices. The ambience, presentation of the food, and the waitstaff were all nice. If you are in Park City for dinner and decide to come here, I would recommend going on Mondays (locals night). They have a discounted menu (which in my opinion, matches more to the food/quality you get). If you have the funds to splurge on a really expensive dinner, go somewhere else. You won't feel like you got your money's worth here. read more

We got seated immediately. It was a fantastic table upstairs overlooking the hostess desk. We were greeted promptly by the waitress, but the overwhelming spell of alcohol that came from her breath took us by surprise. We ordered a flatbread app. It arrived and it tasted just ok; it was rather salty for our liking. The waitress, long ponytail, returned, took our menus, and did not return to our table, being VERY attentive to the other patrons around us. It was quite odd and we felt VERY uncomfortable. Ten minutes after we finished our appetizer, we caught her cleaning an adjacent table and simply asked for our check. It seemed to me that being tourists, we were alienated for some odd reason. We were extremely excited to try the food and will be hard pressed to return. read more
