Wanted to update my review based on the Customer Service provided to me after my complaint. The restaurant recognized my frustration and made things right. This establishment really cares about their customers so they made sure I was taken care of. Thank you.
My wife and I had the Saag Paneer, Chicken Makhani and a side of Garlic Naan. All was delicious, service was exceptional. The dining room is quite and dimmed for a nice night out and there was also patio seating as well. Pricing a little high but expected in a resort town.
We were researching for something different, not typical burger/bar/American kind of food in Park City during our visit and saw this place with very good reviews, so decided to try it. Since they don't take reservation, we walk-in shortly before 6pm and were seated right away and the restaurant was about 80% full already! Food was flavorful and service was okay. I really like the Mumbai Lime drink with a hint of spice and very refreshing. For starter we tried the Vegetable Pakora which was not bad. I am a fan of Biryani and ordered that with Chicken, it was very flavorful and meat was tender. Hubby got the tasty Shrimp Curry. We always get Garlic Naan with Indian cuisine, but I gotta say we were a bit let down as it was way too greasy/oily. Overall a good place and we enjoyed our dinner regardless the mishap on the naan.
Flavorful Indian food. The samosas, lamb vindaloo, roasted eggplant, garlic naan, and vegetable pakora were all amazing. Note that the medium spicy level is still pretty spicy in my opinion. Although I'm no expert, I felt the flavor and spices were surprisingly authentic for a ski town restaurant. They don't take reservations, but it's a large space and we were able to walk in with a big group (~9 people) on a Wednesday evening.
Mumbai House has tons of stellar reviews, so we had to try it while we were in Park City. It's definitely not your typical Park City restaurant, which made it an interesting spot to check out. They don't take reservations, but you can put your name on a waitlist before you arrive if the online waitlist is open. Walk-ins are welcome, but expect a wait during peak hours. We went on a Saturday night and were told about 35 minutes, which ended up being pretty accurate. Once we were seated we ordered right away. The food did take a little while to come out, but the restaurant was very busy so it was understandable. Service wasn't overly warm and we did feel a bit forgotten for a while, but the food made up for it. We started with the samosas which were huge and packed with flavor, served with two chutneys. We also had the Mango Blue Moon beer which was surprisingly really good. For mains we ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Butter Chicken. Both were incredible. The portions were generous with lots of tender chicken and the sauces were unreal. Rich, layered flavors that paired perfectly with the rice. You can quickly see why this place has thousands of five star reviews. We also ordered the garlic naan which was delicious. Fluffy, flavorful, and perfect for dipping into the sauces. The ambiance felt like your classic Indian restaurant but slightly elevated. Cozy atmosphere, comfortable seating, and they also have a patio which would be great in warmer weather. Hands down some of the best Indian food I've ever had. Now I completely understand the hype.
Our group of 6 came in around 6:30pm on Saturday of Presidents' Day weekend and were seated right away. We ordered pakora - yum! The mint chutney was great. We did family style with chicken tandoori 5/5, Paneer Masala 3/5, garlic naan 5/5, mango chicken 4.5/5, lamb vindaloo 4.5/5. The rice was tasty too. The service was not stellar. We ran out of water twice and wanted to order dessert but we couldn't catch our waiter for 20+ minutes after finishing our food. When he came back he was ready to check us out. The food is worth coming back for!
Overall: 3.5/5 [dine in] Mumbai House has stellar reviews, so our group decided to try it out. We had a reservation at 8:30 PM for a late dinner so we were mindful of their 9 PM closing time. We ordered as soon as we were seated, and the food came out fairly quickly. We still ended up being the last group to leave, but the staff didn't rushed us. They were also able to split the bill by individual or couple, though they forgot to bring us to go boxes afterward. Blue Moon Mango ($10): I am not usually a beer drinker, but this one was not bad. The subtle mango flavor helped balance out the beer taste. Lamb Briyani ($26.95): Basmati rice cooked with lamb, onions, garlic, ginger, cashew nuts, raisins, and spices, served with a side of raita. The bowl looked small at first, but the portion was actually very generous. We had leftovers, and I ended up eating this over three breakfast meals. There was a good amount of lamb, but the dish overall was very dry, including the basmati rice. The flavors were just okay, and I found myself relying on the raita to add moisture and flavor. My friend tried it and did not enjoy it either, even though she loved her own dish. It seemed like guests who ordered sauce based dishes enjoyed their meals more, while those who ordered briyani were less impressed. Onion Naan ($7.95): This was delicious and highly recommended. The flatbread was fluffy and flavorful, and it was great on its own or dipped in raita or curry.
Love this family restaurant. Service is very quick, efficient, and friendly, which makes the experience even better. The food is good--just not the best I've ever had. We ordered the appetizer sampler, and the chicken fingers were super tasty. The chutney that came with the appetizers was especially good and paired really well. We also had the lamb with mushrooms. The lamb was very well prepared--super tender and not overly gamey--but it could use a bit more flavor. The butter chicken, on the other hand, was delicious: not too creamy, and the chicken itself was well seasoned and flavorful. The garlic naan is to die for. Overall, great food, great service, and a comfortable family-style atmosphere. Would definitely come back.
Went for dinner on a weeknight for the first time. Parked at a local garage. Ample seating at the restaurant both inside and out. We arrived early but when we left it was packed with the patio full! Service was prompt and friendly. We were seated in a comfortable booth. Food comes out super fast - so if you want it paced, order that way or ask them to pace it. We had the appetizer sampler (came with one sweet and one savory sauce) which was solid and generous (samosas huge). For the main course we ordered the butter shrimp upon the recommendation of our server which was decision, the tikki masala chicken was was very good, and the saag paneer which is always a go to and here it was very good. Spice level we said medium to mild - and all dishes were appropriately spicy (some places don't fine tune spice level well - this place absolutely did). Those who wanted more heat got some sauce on the side. We all had ample servings of rice to go with the proteins. And we also had an order of the onion naan which was absolutely delicious (best onion naan I've ever had) - full of chopped onions and spices. It absolutely did not need the butter add on, so I'm glad we didn't get it. Highly recommend this place - will be back!
Saturday day, we found this place and I called to make a reservation. The guy told me that I didn't need one, to just come in and we would be seated. We got there at 7pm, the place was packed and were told 30 minutes wait time. I was pretty annoyed, but decided to stay. When we were seated, we immediately placed our order as we already know what we like. They didn't bring any water, we asked a few people and it never came. They are extremely short staffed for the amount of. Customers they have. We ordered mango lassi, vegetable samosa, butter chicken, lamb Rogan josh, butter and garlic naan. The food and drink were delicious. I wasn't crazy about the butter chicken as it had too many herbs for my taste. The food was great, service- not so much
This place don't miss. Phenomenal flavor. It all hit so well. For 4 people we got three dishes, 2 naans, and a samosa appetizer. Perfect proportions. The shrimp coconut kurma was delectable. So smooth. Chicken tikka masala was some of the best I've ever had. Wow. Crazy flavor. The aloo Gobi medium was quite spicy but a nice kick! Love the cauliflower. The garlic naan was my fav. Rice is perfection. The samosa was so packed and dense on the inside. Really tasty.
My wife and I spent a date night in Park City and chose Mumbai House for its location, great reviews, and because we both love Indian food. In my opinion, this is the best Indian cuisine you can get in Utah--and I've tried them all. Our server, Arsh, was fantastic: kind, professional, and full of excellent recommendations. My wife ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, while I went with his suggestion of Chicken Makhani (butter chicken). We both ended up preferring the butter chicken--absolutely outstanding. We started with the vegetable samosas, which you must try if you haven't already. We also ordered rice and a side of both plain and onion naan (highly recommended), and the upgrade was well worth it. To finish, we shared the pistachio ice cream for a palate reset, and let me just say--you haven't had real pistachio ice cream until you've had theirs. Overall, it was an exhilarating mix of flavors and textures, paired with truly world-class service. We'll definitely be back. One note: their website includes photos of all the menu items, which is super helpful. Also, the portions are generous, so don't hesitate to split a meal--costs can add up quickly!
I've spent over four months in India. Primarily, Delhi. Months in London and regularly choose Indian food for a meal. Did I just have some of the best Indian food in Park City, Utah? Mumbai House is a great, small-ish restaurant on the edge of Main Street. Service was prompt, helpful and gave good recommendations. We started with the papadam, then moved straight into entrees. Butter chicken (Makhani) was tremendous and Lamb Boti Masala was a great recommendation. The naan was some of the lightest, best I've ever had. We like heat and asked for Hot and Very Hot. I don't think they believed us and turned it down. We had to ask for more and they brought something to the table to add. Overall, I am planning a trip back to Park City and this might be my first stop so I can have a second or third on the same trip. Excellent. 5 stars. Try them. You're welcome.

We had dinner at Mumbai House in Park City and overall had a good experience. We were seated on the patio, which is beautiful, although it was an especially windy day. The red curtains outside looked nice, but they kept blowing into our table while we were eating. Once they were tied back, they still flapped around quite a bit and unfortunately blocked much of the mountain view. The patio chairs are also metal and not the most comfortable--I ended up using my jacket as a cushion. We started with the vegetable samosas, and they were excellent. They came with two different chutneys, both of which were delicious. For our entrées, we ordered an eggplant dish with rice and onion naan. The flavors were wonderful, and the medium spice level was just right--enough heat to be interesting without overwhelming the dish. The only downside was that both the eggplant and the naan were much oilier than I prefer. In hindsight, I would ask for the naan without butter next time, as the richness was a bit much for me. The wine list was fairly limited. I sampled a couple before settling on a Burgundy Pinot Noir, which was enjoyable but felt overpriced at $20 for a relatively small pour. The service was friendly, but it felt a little disjointed. Several different people stopped by our table throughout the meal, and while everyone was attentive, the frequent interruptions made the experience feel a bit less relaxed. Overall, the food was flavorful and enjoyable, and I would happily eat here again if I were in the area. While it probably wouldn't be a destination restaurant for me, it's a solid choice for good Indian food in Park City. read more
Food: excellent!!! Tandoori chicken- best we ever had, chicken tikka masala- very good, and lamb vindaloo- also very good. Plain naan was also good. Mango lassi- very good Mango ice cream- delicious Service - incredible, so incredibly fast, we were shocked how quickly food came out, same with desserts. Ambiance- cute place read more
If I could give this place 6 stars I would! It's a summer Monday night, and things just aren't too busy in Park City. We got seated right away. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They suggested appropriate spice levels for my husband and myself. Let me tell you though, if I could only choose one kind of food to eat for the rest of my life, it would be Indian food. Having eaten at Mumbai House in SLC (formerly Bombay House) we had pretty solid expectations that were blown out of the water. Like it was THAT good. I had the butter chicken medium spice and hubs had the chicken tikka masala hot spice. His was a little spicy for me, but as a pasty white girl it doesn't take much. My medium spice was perfect. Enough of a burn to taste delicious without taking off my taste buds. The garlic butter naan was perfection. Crisp and flavorful. We choose a mango Blue Moon and Singha lager to accompany our food, and I don't know about the Singha,(Hubs gave it 2 thumbs up), but the mango beer was amazing! If you are in Park City and love Indian food, stop in here and grab a bite! (Dinner time only ... not open for lunch hours.) read more

We tried the pineapple tofu (medium), Chana masala (hot), and garlic naan with no butter. My Chana masala was good but the hot wasn't quite spicy so I needed to add hot sauce, next time I would order it extra spicy. I was blown away by the food at Mumbai House. Everything was delicious, and every dish had a slightly different flavor profile than what I was typically used to - which gave it a nice unique twist. We ordered the lamb biryani, butter, saag paneer and Mumbai chicken. If I had to pick a favorite, it'd probably be the Mumbai chicken - it tasted a mix between a chicken tikka masala and butter chicken. We also ordered the Lamb Rogan Josh and the Tandoori Chicken to go because of how pleased we were with our meal (which were both delicious, even reheated!) The staff were also extremely welcoming and nice - they dropped by multiple times to ensure we were having a good time and were very happy to see us enjoying our food. I'd strongly recommend Mumbai House to anyone visiting Park City or anyone in the area. It was by far some of the best Indian food I've had, and I'll be sure to make a stop if I'm ever back in Park City. read more

The butter chicken here is incredible. If you order tikka masala, they'll recommend the butter chicken instead--and you should absolutely trust them. It's outstanding. The onion naan is also amazing and well worth the price. So flavorful and delicious. Portions are generous--roughly enough for about 1.5 people--but if you're really hungry, I'd recommend ordering your own curry. One dish is perfect for one person. The atmosphere is great, and the service is excellent. The servers are quick, check in often, and keep the soda refills coming. 10/10 recommend if you're in Park City. This place is a must-visit. read more

Authentic Indian food. And a perfect addition to the line-up in Park City. The Chicken Tiki Masala was delicious. A deep flavored dish that goes beyond the flavor profile of most Tiki Masalas Ive had. The garlic Nan was great; the only thing it was missing was salt...but with that added on = perfect Nan. Chewy but still roasted. Service was real quick (granted we were eating an early dinner) The tea came without sugar, you can add it but I really enjoyed drinking it as is. read more
Amazing food & service! Finally, we found a great restaurant in PC & reasonably priced. We dined here 4 out of our 7 day vacation. We enjoyed every dish that we ordered. For starters: Vegetable Samosas & Vegetable Pakora, Entree's & Sides: Garlic Naan, Onion Naan, Rice, Chicken Tikka Masala & Aloo Gobi, Desserts: Gulab Jamun & Kulfi. The portions were generous & most dishes come with rice. The atmosphere was lively & makes for a perfect date night, family night or I even saw big groups that they were able to accommodate easily. I recommend & will be back! read more

We had just seen a movie at Sundance & were looking for a place to eat about 840 pm. Hard to find! But the staff noticed us peering in & welcomed us in even though their kitchen closes about 845 usually. We got samosas, mango lassi, lamb korma, spinach paneer served with generous rice. Really good though I'd go for more spice next time; we did med & mild on mains. These samosas had a very light coating & were really good. Lassi was best I've had in a long time. read more

I'm excited to share my new favorite Indian restaurant in Utah: Mumbai House. My wife and I were in Park City for the evening, and after much research, we decided to give this place a try. What a pleasant surprise it turned out to be! We started with one of our favorite appetizers, samosas. As expected, they were served with mint chutney and tamarind chutney. The mint chutney was bursting with flavor, and I loved how well-seasoned it was. The tamarind chutney stole my heart with its thicker texture compared to other restaurants in the state. The samosas were perfectly crispy on the outside and full of delicious flavor. For our main course, we shared a medium-spice chicken tikka masala. The sauce was rich, and the chicken was juicy and tender. It paired wonderfully with the other star of the show: the Naan bread, especially the onion naan. What a game changer! We love garlic naan--which we ordered--but the onion naan was truly special. The staff at Mumbai House are incredibly attentive and friendly. I enjoyed talking to every employee who came to our table. This was the first of many times we'll be eating at Mumbai House. read more

Came to Park City and saw this Indian restaurant and thought it sounded so good. I'm glad we decided to try it. We were able to find some parking a couple streets over and walk. The workers were very kind. We were able to sit outside on a lovely evening! We orders the vegetable samosas for an appetizer (~$9). They were delicious and so fluffy. We then split the chicken tikka masala and saag paneer! Both so delicious! Great flavors! Both came with rice. We had leftovers to take home. Such a great meal! read more
This is a very traditional spot with incredibly delicious food! We tried four different varieties of chicken masala and curry--each one packed with unique flavors. The naan bread was also great; the onion naan was especially moist and flavorful, while the garlic naan had a slightly bitter aftertaste. For dessert, we had the gulab jamun--nicely served but a bit too sweet for our taste. The staff, dressed in traditional outfits, were kind and welcoming, which added to the experience. While the ambiance wasn't particularly cozy and the place felt a bit empty, overall, it was an amazing experience! read more
