So, this is a once in a lifetime type of place. It's really really pricy. It's good, BUT, there are other places around the city that are better. The waitress suggested the mushroom toast, the duck carbonara and the osso bucco and they were all good, but the mushroom toast was the standout. The venue itself was very cool and we were seated immediately on the third floor with a great view. The service was friendly, and the space was beautiful. The bread was fresh, though a bit salty, and the wine selection felt somewhat limited. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to expectations. We ordered the Bolognese Bianca with beef and a white fish dish with red cabbage (I can't recall the name), but both were so underwhelming that we only ate about a third of each. Been to this absolutely romantic, excellent restaurant more than once for a reason. From their Seared Scallops to the Spaghetti Arrabbiata this is by far one of Park City Utahs more refined restaurants. I have gone when there has been four feet of snow outside and been seated next to a roaring fire and also in the beautiful spring outside with Mountain View's galore. This restaurant is deceivingly big, 3 stories, we were sat on the 3rd story right by the window to look out on Main Street. Our server was friendly and attentive and made sure we were happy with our meal. I got the seared barramundi and my dad got the bolognese Bianca. Both are really really good. This is a rustic Italian restaurant so they do Italian dishes very well. The atmosphere was very elegant, rustic, homey. Yum!! We had a reservation here for our last night of our trip and everything was so delicious and fresh. The wait staff promptly filled our waters and brought out fresh, warm bread. We started with the wild mushrooms and Caesar salads. The wild mushrooms were incredible and come with 3 pieces per order. The sauce paired with the different type of mushrooms were a perfect pairing. For dinner a few of us ordered the strozzapreti which was absolutely delicious. First time at Grappa and what a gem located at the top of Main Street. So charming inside and the views are beautiful. We started with the calamari which was tender and delicious served with two sauces. The mushroom soup was incredible and not to be missed as well as the duck ravioli. For entrees the eggplant parm is amazing and served with arugula on top reminiscent of a milanese style. The veal oso bucco and lamb chops both were outstanding. For dessert we had the tiramisu and the chocolate pistachio crostada with raspberry sorbet. The pistachio foam is exceptional. This was the only restaurant of the week that actually remembered it was my birthday and brought a candle in the dessert. Patrick our server was exceptional, attentive and made great recommendations. Always love a trip to Grappa! Their salads are the BEST in town - try the melon and goat cheese (it's surprisingly delicious). The service is great and the bread/dip is so additive. Sitting outside is such a vibe, but even inside, it's a great atmosphere. The food was okay but considering its location and it being an Italian restaurant, I was expecting much more. None was the food had that classic Italian taste. Nothing we ordered amazed us. The service was great but the food disappointed. I understand the intentions of the chef, but none of the flavors felt satisfying. They started us off with house made focaccia that came with a special sauce that tasted great then we ordered the Caesar salad, duck ravioli, Strozzapreti, Grappa's Osso Bucco, and the potato puree. A MUST in Park City! We made a reservation day of and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The restaurant itself is beautiful and we had a table in the corner with an amazing view of Main Street. They had me immediately with their homemade bread and sauce. We then ordered Calamari and soups and salads. The calamari was perfectly breaded and was served with two different sauces a lemon chipotle and a traditional marinara. For my entree, I ordered their famous dish spaghetti arrabiata. The meatballs were perfect and the sauce was more of a sweet pepper based sauce. Happy we were able to book a last minute reservation Saturday night! Food was delicious and our server was wonderful! According to the bill, I believe his name was Chandler! We ordered a glass of the duckhorn Cab, a Rosso toscana, fondue, Fettucine al Funghi, scallops risotto, and tiramisu. There were a lot of items we wanted to try on the menu, but definitely had to stop ourselves to not over order. Would want to try their mushroom soup next time!! They start you off with complementary bread that comes with a little dish of sauce that was so yummy! Didn't think we would use it all or eat all the bread, but oops.. LOL We ordered the fondue to start, which was sooo bomb when it first came out! It came with bread pieces, pickles, sausages, broccolini, and green apples, which all paired perfectly well with the melted cheese. Definitely recommend eating this as fast as you can, because the cheese will cool fairly quickly and hard cheese is not as pleasant to enjoy. The scallop risotto was delicious! The scallops were so soft and juicy and you get quite a bit of risotto with the dish so it's definitely filling. I had to take mine to go! The fettuccine al funghi was also delicious and the different textured mushrooms added a nice touch to the dish! Tiramisu was yummy, but I personally would have preferred a little more cake/lady fingers vs cream ratio, but the flavor was there and it was still yummy! The inside has a cozy feel and it's super pretty looking outside the "snow globe" feel of the second floor. Would want to return to check out other menu items and hopefully get a seat by the window! Ended up just toasting with a glass of wine. We ordered the grilled olives, snow crab stuffed mushrooms, and calamari to start. If I had to choose between the 3, I'd say calamari was the best, but you can't really mess that up right? For entrees, we had the lobster fregola, scallops risotto, spaghetti arrabiata, and the grilled lamb chops. The lamb chops specifically being my entree - it was good, but not what I had expected. More on the sweeter/saucier side of things. I like my lamb chops grilled and a little crispy on the outside. That's not how these lamp chops are. Now the desserts on the other hand were AMAZING. We had the pistachio affogato and the chocolate hazelnut tartufo. That was my favorite part of dinner. Everything else was okay, but again I don't think the price was worth it. Came here for President's Day weekend with my family. This place was amazing. Great atmosphere and great food. Everything we ate was amazing. Not one dish was just okay. We had the filet, lobster, and lamb chops. All of it was amazing and don't forget the calamari. Service was also great. I debated for quite some time before writing this review. A few weeks ago, a group of girlfriends and I were in Park City for a girls' trip. One evening, we had dinner at Grappa. The restaurant has a beautiful ambiance, and we were genuinely excited to dine there. Unfortunately, my experience and ultimately the evening did not end on a positive note. Before going further, I want to be transparent: my driver's license had expired. To be specific, it expired the night before less than 12 hours earlier. When our waitress came to take our drink orders, she asked to see our IDs and informed me that because my license was expired, I could not order a glass of wine due to Utah's strict alcohol laws. While I found it difficult to understand how an expired license suddenly changed my age from 53 to under 20, I accepted that the ID was no longer considered valid and complied with the policy. One of my friends, who was not planning to drink, ordered a glass of wine instead. When I took a single sip, the maître d' rushed to our table and, in a calm yet extremely demeaning tone, reprimanded me. He spoke to me as though I were a child, stating that if he saw me do it again, I would be escorted out of the restaurant. While I understand that the law is the law and I immediately complied, I felt humiliated by the manner in which I was addressed. The tone and delivery were unnecessarily condescending and made me feel as though I were being scolded rather than respectfully corrected. What made this interaction especially upsetting is my strong belief that had there been a man at our table or had I been dining with my boyfriend I would not have been spoken to in this manner. I attempted to speak with the maître d' afterward, as I had an image of my passport and wanted to better understand how an expired license negated my clearly established age. Despite asking multiple times, he never returned to our table. While I accept that an expired license may not be valid for alcohol service, at what point does that stop being an indication of someone's age altogether? As the evening continued, I stayed quiet so as not to ruin my friends' night, but I felt hurt, embarrassed, and disrespected by an interaction that could have been handled with basic courtesy. Unfortunately, the evening did not improve. Two of my friends ordered the fish. One could not eat it due to the taste, and the other became extremely ill afterward, spending the night with a severe stomachache. One friend went home hungry, and another spent the night feeling unwell. All in all, what should have been a lovely evening at a beautiful restaurant was overshadowed by a humiliating interaction and disappointing food. I left feeling hurt and disrespected, and that is not an experience I would expect from an establishment of this caliber. read more

From the ambiance to the service Leslie provided us we were more than pleased with everything and made for such a beautiful date night out together. The restaurant is 32 years old and still maintains its quality and service. I started with the espresso martini which has chocolate shavings on top. We ordered the grape and gorgonzola salad. Nice presentation and good balance of the sweet grapes and gorgonzola. We shared the Osso bucco as it was a large portion. Perfectly cooked. Meat fell off the bone and nicely spiced. Delicious! We were so full but wanted to try their dessert so we ordered a tiramisu to go. We were so glad we did. Creative and tasty! We never managed to eat at Grappa until last week. What a great place to dine. First the service - it was phenomenal. Our waiter was attentive without hovering, knew the menu cold and had great commentary on all of the items that we had questions on. He also had a wonderful personality. Most of us had their beet and arugula salad which included shaved fennel and chèvre. Beautifully plated with great flavor. One of our party had the heirloom tomato bruschetta and loved it. The main courses included branzino, gnocchi primavera and bolognese bianca. Again, all of the mains were fantastic. Great flavor and just the right portion sizes. I do not understand why the chef would chose fatty pork belly to accompany this dish, when someone orders sea food, you might consider that they are trying to avoid meat. My friend ordered the bass, he ended up with diarrhea. We concluded we could have saved alot of money and had a better meal at a pizza joint. read more
