Food was amazing. The service was excellent and the place is full of country charm. I would definitely recommend and plan to visit often.

The building is beautiful as is the interior. There are lots of little rooms and the tables are pretty tight. It was a bit difficult for wait staff to get around, but the service was still attentive. Two of us ordered the Pork Tenderloin Sandwich w/ fries. That darn sandwich was delicious!! It was sticky as all get out, but it was delicious! I'll apologize now; my pic is so blurry I hesitate to post it, but I'm going to anyway. The other person having the Pork Tenderloin also enjoyed it. Mark ordered the Kentucky Hot Brown. He said it was loaded with ham and it was salty. He finished every bite, but he did say he wouldn't order it again. One person loved her Cod (she didn't eat the bread) and another said the shrimp and grits were very good. The menu has lots of options. I mentioned we would be happy to come back sometime for dinner. We bought some chocolate cookies (they are by the hostess podium) on the way out. They had a nice chocolate and salt flavor, but should have had more chips.

While traveling in northern Kentucky, he stumbled upon one of these places, The Farmstand Market & Cafe. Farmstand offers comfort food with a farm-to-table focus served in a cozy space with a bar and attached market. We started with the Goetta Hanky Panky Dip. This was made with cheesy goetta, bagel chips, pumpernickel bread, and light rye served in a cast iron skillet. The dip had a good sausage flavor with salt and some light spice while being cheesy, creamy, and full of flavor. The bagel chips were very crispy but were not served warm. The pumpernickel and rye were dry. Each complimented the dip, adding texture to the bite. My wife had the Reuben Sandwich. This sandwich came with sliced corned beef, homemade Thousand Island, pickled pig sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese on light rye with bacon ranch pasta salad. The pasta salad was cooked spot on while also being creamy. The bacon added crunch and saltiness to the salad. The rye had a great toast, and the Thousand Island was tangy and creamy. The pastrami was dry but had a good salty flavor. The sauerkraut was crunchy and had a good sour flavor cutting through the salty meat and the sweet dressing. The cheese was gooey and nutty and added flavor to each bite. I sampled the French dip sandwich and Mulligatawny soup. This was prepared with a sliced top round with provolone on a French roll. The soup was prepared with rice, chicken, carrots, onions, celery, lentils and spices. The chicken was very tender, the rice was cooked well, and the vegetables added texture to the rice. The soup was flavorful, had a wonderful aroma, and had a good salt content. The top round was thin and offered good flavor and chew. The roll was fresh and had a good chew paired with the ooey and gooey cheese with an excellent buttery flavor. The au jus had good flavor but was slightly salty, which overpowered it. Farmstand offers grilled cheeses, hot sandwiches, burgers, salads, appetizers, soups and main entrees. They also serve beer and have a full bar. The servers were pleasant and knowledgeable. The Fat Man says that The Farmstand Market & Cafe is Fat Man Approved with 1 chin.

One thing that stands out is the portion sizes you're getting a lot for your money. It's great for families or anyone who wants leftovers for later. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, perfect for a laid-back dinner or a quick weeknight meal.

Not the bubbly welcoming sort. I questioned myself if i made the right choice for a quick lunch. Thankfully I was paired with a waitress who smiled, welcomed me and really listened to what I wanted. I ordered the fish and chips (still coming off of Lent...habit, I guess). I was pleasantly surprised. I expected frozen and flashed fried pieces. What I was served were three delicately beer battered sustainably farmed swai... good sized and delicious! The accompanying fries were fantastic as well. My only suggestion if you get bothered by loud noise while dining is to be seated away from the tvs. Bathrooms are clean and walkways are not greasy sticky. I'll be back to try other items on there extensive menu!

I've had two very different experiences with this restaurant -- one solid, one frustrating -- which…read moreaverages out to mediocre at best. My first visit was a takeout order of breakfast tacos that were pretty tasty. Based on that, I was hopeful for a good dine-in experience when I stopped by again recently with my mom for a late breakfast. This is a counter-service spot where you order at the register, grab a number, and seat yourself while they bring the food out. We arrived around 10 AM and it was packed. Despite the crowd, the line moved quickly, but that's where the efficiency ended. Most of the open tables were dirty, so we had to clean one ourselves with napkins. Not ideal. Then came the confusion around drinks. We never received cups after ordering -- despite asking three separate times. First, we were told the cups would come out with our food. When they didn't, we asked the food runner, who said he'd check on it but just disappeared into the kitchen. Finally, we had to go back to the counter a third time just to get cups for the fountain machine. That's a lot of back and forth for something basic. When the food finally arrived, it was lukewarm at best. I ordered two bacon breakfast tacos and a side of smashed potatoes. The tortillas were so hard they were practically inedible -- I ended up tearing pieces off and eating just the egg, bacon, and cheese filling. The potatoes were bland and also cold, like they'd been sitting out too long. It's disappointing because my first experience was solid. I'm hoping this was just an off day, but for nearly $40, this meal didn't feel worth it. The staff seemed overwhelmed and stretched thin, with just a handful of employees trying to juggle too many tasks during a rush. Cleanliness, service, and food temperature all suffered as a result. For now, this location won't be high on my list to return to. There are better breakfast spots in town that don't come with this much hassle.

You've got everything from burgers and loaded fries to sushi rolls, which sounds like an odd combo but somehow works perfectly. The vibe is casual and upbeat, with TVs around for games and a lively crowd most nights. Food-wise, the burgers are consistently good juicy, flavorful, and actually cooked right. The sushi is surprisingly fresh for a non-traditional sushi spot, I love the surf and turf roll, me and my husband get it everytime, and it's a fun option if you want to mix things up. The appetizers are definitely worth it too, especially if you're sharing.

The salad is plenty big enough to fill you at lunch. It comes in a bowl with greens,, roasted chicken, pepper jack cheese (my favorite), roasted sunflower seeds, chips and more. The only change I made was I wasn't crazy about mustard Dijon dressing, so I went with the poppyseed dressing. The poppyseed dressing was outstanding. To this luncheon off I had what was probably the best sweet tea I've ever had. There is seat available both inside and outside. The staff is fast and friendly. The restaurant is clean. PS. My colleague suggested i tried his fish. That was absolutely outstanding. It's one of those things you try and say to yourself, I wish I got that.
