Everything was delicious! I ordered an iced matcha and my husband ordered an iced coffee. Honestly the drinks were not great. We were craving something different from the usual breakfast, and that's when we found Avalanche. As huge crepe fans, once we read their story on the website, we knew this was the place to go! From the moment we walked in, one of the owners greeted us right away -- super friendly and chill. The space was clean, the music was great, and the Montana-inspired decor and artwork really told their story and created such a welcoming vibe. Now, let's talk about the crepes! I ordered The Snow Bunny, and the very first bite brought instant comfort -- exactly what I needed to start the day. My husband ordered The Ronnie, and it was incredible. The blend of hash browns, chorizo, and eggs was perfectly balanced -- none of the ingredients overpowered the others -- and every bite was a delicious harmony. The crepe itself was the true star of the meal! We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town visiting friends. See you soon -- your Kansas City fans!

When we sat upstairs, our waitress suggested a few seasonal drinks which I really enjoyed. The food was also really tasty. I love the ambiance inside and all of the woodwork. Definitely a comfortable atmosphere I'd return to! The biggest struggle is the parking lot. Try to come early or it might be too packed.

Expect a moderately high energy vibe during peak times. Quick and friendly! The wait was 30 min, as it appeared so many others also had the idea to visit this morning. My friend chose the BYO quesadilla, which was served with sour cream and salsa. She also got a side of fruit. I opted for the BYO omelette. It comes with a bread option, so I went for one of their in-house biscuits with a side of gravy. The onions were a fine dice and well sautéed in my omelette, which was perfect! And the biscuit was just as yummy as I remembered. Good things to note: You pay at the table, with the option to do tap/Apple pay , which I greatly appreciate. Don't forget to get a couple of biscuits to take home and later enjoy with butter and honey.

The Fat Man tries to find hidden gems, holes in the walls, or any small mom-and-pop establishment…read morewith good food. While traveling in northern Kentucky, he stumbled upon one of these places, The Farmstand Market & Cafe. Farmstand offers comfort food with a farm-to-table focus served in a cozy space with a bar and attached market. We started with the Goetta Hanky Panky Dip. This was made with cheesy goetta, bagel chips, pumpernickel bread, and light rye served in a cast iron skillet. The dip had a good sausage flavor with salt and some light spice while being cheesy, creamy, and full of flavor. The bagel chips were very crispy but were not served warm. The pumpernickel and rye were dry. Each complimented the dip, adding texture to the bite. My wife had the Reuben Sandwich. This sandwich came with sliced corned beef, homemade Thousand Island, pickled pig sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese on light rye with bacon ranch pasta salad. The pasta salad was cooked spot on while also being creamy. The bacon added crunch and saltiness to the salad. The rye had a great toast, and the Thousand Island was tangy and creamy. The pastrami was dry but had a good salty flavor. The sauerkraut was crunchy and had a good sour flavor cutting through the salty meat and the sweet dressing. The cheese was gooey and nutty and added flavor to each bite. I sampled the French dip sandwich and Mulligatawny soup. This was prepared with a sliced top round with provolone on a French roll. The soup was prepared with rice, chicken, carrots, onions, celery, lentils and spices. The chicken was very tender, the rice was cooked well, and the vegetables added texture to the rice. The soup was flavorful, had a wonderful aroma, and had a good salt content. The top round was thin and offered good flavor and chew. The roll was fresh and had a good chew paired with the ooey and gooey cheese with an excellent buttery flavor. The au jus had good flavor but was slightly salty, which overpowered it. Farmstand offers grilled cheeses, hot sandwiches, burgers, salads, appetizers, soups and main entrees. They also serve beer and have a full bar. The servers were pleasant and knowledgeable. The Fat Man says that The Farmstand Market & Cafe is Fat Man Approved with 1 chin.
