This is a fantastic spot it has been in business for 41 years, according to the shirts a lot of the staff wear. I had lunch on a Tuesday, arrived around 11am, by the time I left after 11:30 the parking lot was full and cars were starting to park on the side of the road. Fantastic home style menu, with fast and friendly service in a cozy atmosphere. I'm pretty sure I was served 3 fresh glasses of pop without having to ask. Fried chicken sandwich was very nice, delicious and a good size. The French fries were very crispy and crunchy, cooked the way I like. No extra seasoning, but I think there are doing something to make those fries crispy and delicious. Worth the stop, but if you can go early or late to avoid the lunch rush. There were fresh made pies, but my sandwich fries and pop filled me up, those pies looked fantastic! read more

The quality of the chicken has gone down in recent years. Some servers are rather lukewarm and don't come back to check on you. I've had to flag my server down several times on more than one occasion. Definitely don't speak to the owner he's a rather rude man. If this place wasn't local I'd pass. The tables and booths are older and starting to feel as old and worn out as they look. Maybe they'll improve but I'm not banking on it. read more

Always good food! Daily specials and the prices are always reasonable. Staff are quick to serve you even when they are busy. Fried chicken, soups, salads, burgers, and breakfast all day can't be beat really. If you are an ice tea fan they have the best and don't forget dessert! Went to The Reservation for dinner tonight upon Chris telling me they serve great food. So I ordered a single quarter pound cheeseburger and fries and he got a double quarter pound cheeseburger with onion rings. Everything was cooked to perfection. The cook Payton was amazing. And our sever Sarah was an amazing server. She had a smile the entire time and answered all of our questions. When it came to desert I had a few choices and went with the peanut butter pie and that was perfect. I will definitely go back again. And if you go be sure to ask for Sarah. First time eating here and it was excellent. I had the best grilled salmon I have ever tasted with sweet potato, salad and sweet tea. Tim had the special: cod, mashed potatoes, reservation beans, coleslaw and Pepsi. He States it was excellent. He liked that the cod did not have heavy breading. We ordered peanut butter cream pie to go. Had to have a taste and I must say, delicious also. Arrived around 3:30. Service was great, friendly and efficient. When we left at 4:30 they were opening the other room to accommodate more customers. Definitely recommend and will be back. read more

Very nice family dining spot to eat in rural Indiana. Staff members are friendly and efficient. Great biscuits and gravy, lunch special is usually a meat, potato, veggie, and one other side for 8.95. I love the breakfast scramble- no mushrooms (they're canned, yuck) Gotta get a side of gravy to put on top! They are no longer open on Sundays. read more

Unfortunate that a couple one-time diners with very specific complaints (my food was cold-- send it back?), (restaurant wasn't clean enough for my standards-- and flies do tend to drop like themselves after all?) dropped a five-star Yelp average down to four stars. As the other reviewer put it, this place has been a local favorite for many years. They have homemade desserts, they have a house special dinner every day, a wide menu selection, and significant creativity for a family-style restaurant. All that and cheap enough to compete with fast food, I'm taking a group after a funeral, hadn't been in several years and was checking their hours on Yelp-- had to post a review when I saw they'd been unduly slammed on their average. EDIT- Went in there with a group of about seven and we sat at the big round table in the back. They've done extensive renovations since the last time I was there with a Western theme. Place looked spotless. I had the full pound cheeseburger and it was probably one of the best burgers available in Greater Cincinnati that didn't come special ordered with a fried egg on it. read more

Been coming here my entire life. There have lots of changes since 1983. Great daily special with sides. Cod and chicken have good crispy coating. Mac and cheese is a good choice for a side. This is, by far, the best place to come eat if you are in Southeast Indiana. The business is a family one that shows that family and faith are the ingredients to a successful business recipe. Wide menu choice and friendly wait staff exist at this diner that is especially busy on the weekends. They have a breakfast buffet now in the mornings on weekends that has true value for their favorites. The food here is outstanding. I typically get the grilled chicken salad and it is worth every penny you pay. Shelly is a fabulous waitress and is always coming by the table to check on you. Stumbled upon this home-cooking restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. We were passing through and wanted to experience a local place. So pleased with this find. All the staff we encountered were extremely friendly. It was a Thursday afternoon (10/11/18) around 1:30 and the place was pretty full. The food came out hot and fairly quick. We asked the server what she would recommend because we wanted to experience what the locals enjoy. She recommended several local favorites and we settled on the Cod sandwich with tater tots and the fiesta chicken wrap with onion rings and two iced teas. Everything was very good. They had a display of delicious looking homemade pies but unfortunately we both were too full to partake. Was very tempted to take one for the car but I talked myself out of it. (Darn!). I hope you get to experience this quant restaurant, in what seems like the middle of nowhere, and enjoy this place.
