    Breaded tenderloin sandwich
    Rhett B.

I was searching Yelp for a place to eat in the Greensburg area. I was sold on Pop's when I saw a photo of Pop's winning a fried tenderloin competition. Fried pork tenderloin is Indiana's claim to fame as for food goes. First of all, there was like one waitress running the dining room and the cash register. So it took a while for her to get around to my table after I sat down. When she did though, I was ready! Sweet tea was surprisingly pretty sweet for Indiana. The tenderloin was bigger than the bun it came on. But it was the 2nd best tenderloin I have had in the state. The origin of the tenderloin, Nick's Kitchen in Huntington, is the best I've had. But this gave it some competition. I chose slaw to come with it and that a decision I regretted quickly as it was overwhelmingly mayo-ey. I like creamy slaw but it was too much. It seems like there are lots of choices for pie. I chose the peanut butter one and it did not disappoint. If you have a hankering for a tenderloin sandwich near Greensburg, I recommend Pop's.

I'm always looking for a hole-in-the-wall place for breakfast when I travel and again, Yelp did not let me down. This place is 10 minutes off either I-74 Greensburg exit. Enjoyed listening to some of the locals share their stories. Staff was friendly and the food was very good.

Smaller diner on the road - food like your mom might cook for you. Good burgers, enjoyed the BLT, really well prepared onion rings. Other great sides as well. Great homemade chocolate shake served by friendly staff. Awesome selection of homemade pies!

Name says it all...Good home cooked food, good service and diner atmosphere. We stopped in for a late breakfast on a Saturday when the place was about half full. One person, Andrew covering the counter and entire dining room. He came over immediately and got our drinks. Hot coffee came from a fresh pot & ice waters (water was good - probably came from the filtered spout from the soda dispenser - sometimes I worry about this when out in the country but this was good). He got our orders as soon as we were ready, food came out fast and he kept our coffee full the entire time. A thumbs up to Andrew who in my opinion was the perfect server since he was very attentive and personable but followed our cue on conversation or left us alone when he saw we were talking amongst ourselves. They also had fresh baked pies and cookies (in bags for $2) we didn't have room. Now I wish I would have taken a bag of cookies for home (oh well, we'll be back). Upon leaving around 2pm (closing time on Sat) the place was almost empty and we asked Andrew for a menu and he not only got us 2 but he wrote some useful information on it (hours, phone, daily specials). If you're anywhere in the vicinity, it's worth a little drive to check it out. Yelp #45 7.19.16

The difference at Storie's is our server Kelli recognized the issue, and told us there was a kitchen issues after our dinner was not out after 20 minutes. Kelli told us what was happening, gave us free pie and took our drinks off our bill and asked if we wanted it to go. Our dinner was finally ready after 35 minutes, so we boxed it up and went home. Kelli apologized multiple times, and that's how service is supposed to happen. The pie was fantastic, apple and coconut cream. Fish was very good, shrimp was good, mashed potatoes and corn ok. It was delicious, and we've eaten there a few times since and always have a great experience. We both have been wanting to try some of their lunch specials, but we work and can't get there to check it out. We were off today and decided to go there for lunch because they were having chicken and noodles, and that's one of my favorite meals. It did not disappoint at all. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed our meals and even ordered seconds to go, so we could have it for dinner. The chicken and noodles came with mashed potatoes, corn or green beans, and a roll. You could definitely tell the food was homemade too. Delicious! The Farmhouse Diner isn't a very big restaurant and can get pretty busy. It reminds me of a little country diner where all the local farmers and their wives go to eat breakfast and lunch. The staff is always super friendly and attentive too. We will definitely be going back.

This place was busy and most likely because it's one of the only restaurants around. It is very much off the beaten path from the expressway. I took one of the few tables that were open, and my server came right over and took my drink order and gave me a menu. The menu was a little bit of a disappointment, I was expecting some good old diner favorites and really it was heavy on breakfast items and lunch was mainly hamburgers and sandwiches. I ordered the BLT sandwich along with a cup of potato soup. The BLT was served with French fries. After a short wait, approx. 5 mins, she brought me my lunch. She served the soup with the meal, and I really would rather have my soup first so neither one gets cold. The soup lacked flavor, not completely, but it was rather bland. The BLT was fantastic, it was very flavorful, the bacon was crispy, and the tomatoes and lettuce were very fresh. The only thing I wished they would have offered was a BLT club sandwich as the sandwich left me a little hungry. Now the French fries here are on another level. They were cooked PERFECTLY, they were on the fat side, but very crispy on the outside, but fluffy on the inside. They were WONDERFUL... I would come here just for the fry's... My only complaint came at the end of the meal when it came to paying my bill. It dawned on me when I brought my check to the register, that they might not take credit cards and I was correct they didn't. I had to leave my driver's license with my server while I ran several blocks down the road to go to a convenience store to use the ATM. THAT WAS A PAIN. I personally don't understand an establishment not taking credit cards today, this is 2023. Everyone has a smartphone and can use PayPal or square. I am more than willing to pay an additional 3% for credit card processing fees, just post that is your policy for accepting credit cards. At least that way, it is our choice, right now you are not giving us a choice at all. I will only go back if they start accepting credit cards.
