Cole slaw
Rebecca L.

I finally stopped there after so many years with my grandma. I also had a great service, I did not the waitresses name. She did excellent job. I got BLT, onion rings and cole slaw. The Cole slaw is so GOOD! I will be back there again with either Clifton or Colton. Place is clean!

This is your classic amazing small town diner. Home cooked meals and pies off the charts delicious. The service is spot on and very good. The ambiance is right out of the 1970's. The fried chicken special was the perfect size and cooked very well. Make sure you make room for some of the best pie anywhere. The fillings and crust are absolutely amazing.

Neat little restaurant located on the square across from the historic courthouse tower tree. Staff was friendly. Service was good. Ordered the bacon omelette, but was disappointed that it included no sides, and it was $8.58, so i ordered a side of toast ($1.56). Everything was a few cents more than the menu indicated, which, I'm sure it's due to food costs. Overall, I'm sure I'd come back, but try something else.

Lunch at Stories

Just enjoyed an excellent lunch at Stories where the food and service was exceptional! Had 7 relatives at lunch and everyone left pleased with the quality of the food and service.

First time here. Won't be back. Wife's breakfast burrito was all potatoes. Bacon wasn't fully cooked and had to tell server we hadn't ordered. Had 4 cups of coffee before food even came out.

Tenderloin so big I had to cut it in half.

Excellent food and service. We had the Big Tenderloin and Alaska Whitefish sandwiches and they were very good. The ambiance is that of an old midwestern town diner and it was very clean.

Quaint, cozy diner on the south side of Greensburg tree courthouse. Quintessential Hoosier food.

I love old diners that have daily specials and this one is no different. The food was good, but the service was super. There were so many local people eating the place was full and you could hear them chatting away. This was a nice stop for some homestyle food on my day of travel.

Some background on the tower tree; seems like they've been asked the same questions a few times.

Looking for a bite while day tripping around the state, my family and I stumbled across this Greensburg staple. The restaurant is nestled into the historic downtown shop fronts directly across from the county courthouse and the infamous tower tree. Walking in, much like the downtown area itself, made me think I had stepped back in time. Not that the patrons were dressed a la 50-60's chic but the familiar tone and jovial nature of all those tables felt like we were in a different time. The food is consistent with any small town family diner. Being there for breakfast, our fare was straight forward. Family order of biscuits and gravy to share. The biscuits were good, clearly made in house but the gravy was better. Word is that you have to go early on the weekends because the biscuits sell out. Luckily we got to try. My dad ordered the omelet and said it was good. Mom had bacon eggs and toast and I had sausage eggs and toast. We both ordered a side of tatters. The meats had a good flavor but the hash browns were under done and greasy. For the price it was good though. This place was hopping for a Saturday. That said it took a while to get our food. The staff was friendly, and kept the coffee coming. The pies were just being cut for the day. They looked delicious and might draw me back sometime. Overall not bad.

Please use gloves when handling my food. Especially toast. Also, don't handle money before handling my food without washing your hands

We decided to check it out for breakfast. It was delicious, and we've eaten there a few times since and always have a great experience. We both have been wanting to try some of their lunch specials, but we work and can't get there to check it out. We were off today and decided to go there for lunch because they were having chicken and noodles, and that's one of my favorite meals. It did not disappoint at all. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed our meals and even ordered seconds to go, so we could have it for dinner. The chicken and noodles came with mashed potatoes, corn or green beans, and a roll. You could definitely tell the food was homemade too. Delicious! The Farmhouse Diner isn't a very big restaurant and can get pretty busy. It reminds me of a little country diner where all the local farmers and their wives go to eat breakfast and lunch. The staff is always super friendly and attentive too. We will definitely be going back.

This place was busy and most likely because it's one of the only restaurants around. It is very much off the beaten path from the expressway. I took one of the few tables that were open, and my server came right over and took my drink order and gave me a menu. The menu was a little bit of a disappointment, I was expecting some good old diner favorites and really it was heavy on breakfast items and lunch was mainly hamburgers and sandwiches. I ordered the BLT sandwich along with a cup of potato soup. The BLT was served with French fries. After a short wait, approx. 5 mins, she brought me my lunch. She served the soup with the meal, and I really would rather have my soup first so neither one gets cold. The soup lacked flavor, not completely, but it was rather bland. The BLT was fantastic, it was very flavorful, the bacon was crispy, and the tomatoes and lettuce were very fresh. The only thing I wished they would have offered was a BLT club sandwich as the sandwich left me a little hungry. Now the French fries here are on another level. They were cooked PERFECTLY, they were on the fat side, but very crispy on the outside, but fluffy on the inside. They were WONDERFUL... I would come here just for the fry's... My only complaint came at the end of the meal when it came to paying my bill. It dawned on me when I brought my check to the register, that they might not take credit cards and I was correct they didn't. I had to leave my driver's license with my server while I ran several blocks down the road to go to a convenience store to use the ATM. THAT WAS A PAIN. I personally don't understand an establishment not taking credit cards today, this is 2023. Everyone has a smartphone and can use PayPal or square. I am more than willing to pay an additional 3% for credit card processing fees, just post that is your policy for accepting credit cards. At least that way, it is our choice, right now you are not giving us a choice at all. I will only go back if they start accepting credit cards.

Mushroom burger was just a flavorless mushroom burger. It was ok. But not worth the 40 minute drive.
