Not with 6.00 a 2 scoop cone First time in greensburg Indiana we stopped for Ice cream and paid 13.00 for 2 cones. Service was so so not too friendly ...

Love This Diner! I think the food is okay, but it's the ice cream that keeps me coming back. Growing up in Greensburg, this was the place to go for the best ice cream. The kicker is the unique crunchy sprinkles you can get on top. The inside is no frills, but who needs them when you're eating that cone with sprinkles!?

I stopped in after lunch to try some ice cream. I didn't realize they also had a lunch menu here as well. Anyway, once I stepped in, I was immediately at the order counter but needed to step to my left to see which ice creams were available in the cooler. Sadly, most of the flavors didn't have any labels which the lady who helped me noticed, but wasn't in a rush to solve the problem. I simply chose one of the two with a label and fortunately, it was delicious! I was trying to look at the overhead menu board that changes every few seconds and the ice cream flavors it listed didn't match the labels either. So, I'm still not certain if all those flavors are available all the time or only occasionally. But back to my order, I got a "single" scoop in a bowl of some sort of vanilla ice cream with chocolate swirls and "traks" or cold reese's pieces type flavors. Note that regardless of how many actual scoops it takes, they keep adding ice cream until the bowl you select is filled. The ice cream was a little bit crystalized at first, but once the ice cream got just a bit warmer, the texture became smooth and creamy. And the flavor was really good. The price was cheaper than what I pay in Indy for ice cream, so I didn't mind that there is a $.50 charge on credit card orders under $5. I even left a tip and didn't reach that amount! If I was in the area, I would gladly return to get some more ice cream. Review #2449

So finally got the chance to come back here. It was great! I got the Italian Melt which was shredded beef, onions and mushrooms on a french roll w/melted mozzarella and tomato sauce. To go along with it, I got the Bacon & Cheese Waffle Fries. They were really good: fried just right with the bacon and cheese in 2 separate containers so you could dip first in melty cheese and then bacon! I finished off the meal w/a Chocolate Peanut Butter Malt! I was so full and very happy. If you're passing Greensburg on the way to somewhere, take some time out to stop in here. Their menu is ginormous and the food is tasty.

As we were driving home to Indianapolis my family wanted to stop for an ice cream treat. It's definitely a hole in the wall type atmosphere. When you walk in the door you immediately are standing at the counter so it's a little bit confusing. They have scoop ice cream which is fine and soft serve also. My dad chose the homemade banana ice cream and it was amazing. I chose mint chocolate chip and my daughter chose cookie dough. We switched half way through. Long story short go for the homemade ice cream.

Rice Krispie treat burger and cheeseburger! Sooooo good!!! I go out of my way for this flurry!

It was delicious, and we've eaten there a few times since and always have a great experience. We both have been wanting to try some of their lunch specials, but we work and can't get there to check it out. We were off today and decided to go there for lunch because they were having chicken and noodles, and that's one of my favorite meals. It did not disappoint at all. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed our meals and even ordered seconds to go, so we could have it for dinner. The chicken and noodles came with mashed potatoes, corn or green beans, and a roll. You could definitely tell the food was homemade too. Delicious! The Farmhouse Diner isn't a very big restaurant and can get pretty busy. It reminds me of a little country diner where all the local farmers and their wives go to eat breakfast and lunch. The staff is always super friendly and attentive too. We will definitely be going back.

This place was busy and most likely because it's one of the only restaurants around. It is very much off the beaten path from the expressway. I took one of the few tables that were open, and my server came right over and took my drink order and gave me a menu. The menu was a little bit of a disappointment, I was expecting some good old diner favorites and really it was heavy on breakfast items and lunch was mainly hamburgers and sandwiches. I ordered the BLT sandwich along with a cup of potato soup. The BLT was served with French fries. After a short wait, approx. 5 mins, she brought me my lunch. She served the soup with the meal, and I really would rather have my soup first so neither one gets cold. The soup lacked flavor, not completely, but it was rather bland. The BLT was fantastic, it was very flavorful, the bacon was crispy, and the tomatoes and lettuce were very fresh. The only thing I wished they would have offered was a BLT club sandwich as the sandwich left me a little hungry. Now the French fries here are on another level. They were cooked PERFECTLY, they were on the fat side, but very crispy on the outside, but fluffy on the inside. They were WONDERFUL... I would come here just for the fry's... My only complaint came at the end of the meal when it came to paying my bill. It dawned on me when I brought my check to the register, that they might not take credit cards and I was correct they didn't. I had to leave my driver's license with my server while I ran several blocks down the road to go to a convenience store to use the ATM. THAT WAS A PAIN. I personally don't understand an establishment not taking credit cards today, this is 2023. Everyone has a smartphone and can use PayPal or square. I am more than willing to pay an additional 3% for credit card processing fees, just post that is your policy for accepting credit cards. At least that way, it is our choice, right now you are not giving us a choice at all. I will only go back if they start accepting credit cards.
