I've visited this new place in town twice now. Once I was with a party of two and the second time I was with a party of twenty two. After both visits, I must say that I am not very impressed. However, I think that there are changes management can make to greatly improve this restaurant. First, the staff needs to be properly trained on how to serve guests and interact with customers. Many of the employees I spoke with simply didn't have the knowledge necessary to help when needed. Second, the menu item recipes need to be reviewed and altered. Everyone in my group agreed the steaks were chewy, fatty and often undercooked. The mixed vegetables were very bland as well. In terms of what we enjoyed, the mixed drinks were all very good and the atmosphere and restaurant decor is very enjoyable.

Great architectural elements in the bar and dining room.

We really enjoyed our dinner at J.Miller. I had the pork chop, which was on special the night we went, with baked potato and Mac and cheese. Here is where a star was lost. The pork chop had way to much pepper for me and the Mac and cheese could have been a little warmer, but the pork chop was perfectly cooked and very juicy. My wife had the big salad with salmon. Our server did a great job noting my wife's food sensitivities and went the extra mile taking a picture of the ingredients in the salad dressing. The salad came out perfect. And the piece of salmon was HUGE. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful, if you like old exposed brick, which I do. And I have to mention the chairs in the dining room. Simple the most comfortable I have ever sat in, in a restaurant. Well padded with an upright back. We have to get back to see the upstairs space. It sounds amazing. Give this place a try.

Delicious food and courteous wait staff. Great old building with a spooky history. Another great addition to a growing neighborhood.

Service, definitely. Ordinary food trying to be elevated, unsuccessfully, to another level.

We were here on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy. The weight wasn't too bad at 30 minutes…read more Quaint little town it's in Lawrenceburg. They have a decent beer selection, which I like. They have stout on the menu. I'm not as much of an IPA guy. I got the Baja tacos and they were delicious. They had an excellent mango in the salsa. My older two girls shared a Meatball flatbread. It's crust is made with cauliflower so it's healthy. I didn't even taste it when I snagged a slice. They liked it. My sweetie, got the bacon, avocado chicken club. When I ask her what she thinks about it, she looks at me while chewing and gives me a thumbs up, but does not stop chewing. She has an extra light in her eye and a smile on her face. My German grandmother would call that the pinnacle of love. The Littles got mini cheeseburgers with mashed potatoes and they seem to have enjoyed it. They're hitting it pretty hard. The server was pretty cool. He's a bit of an old dude but down to earth, straightforward, and nose, his stuff. If you ask my youngest, she says he looks like he's been to outerspace, but I would say he looks like a solid fireman to me. The service was decent, the atmosphere is great, our server was excellent, and the food was delicious. Totally worth coming back too.

First things first: service was excellent. No complaints on that front…read more But! (But!) I ordered an extra side of asparagus, and for $4 extra, I received a whopping total of 6 pieces of asparagus. Talk about a ripoff. I understand that margins in the restaurant industry are tight, but if they're that tight on a dish, don't offer it. I am so disappointed (and a little irked), that I paid so much to receive so little. My partner got the chicken tenders, which they described as extremely tough and chewy. Additionally, my dining companion and I were seated directly in front of the door, which made for a very chilly dinner. Overall, a disappointment, and I'm not sure that I'll be back.

You can either walk through the gun center or enter at the rear / side of the building. Either way it is a bit of a walk so could be a concern for anyone with mobility issues. I was surprised that there were not any disabled parking spots close to the side entrance. It's a large lounge, upscale and beautifully decorated though does not have an intimate feel. Majority of seating is tables vs. bar. The cocktail menu is unique and fun, with the different drinks named after famous and infamous gunslingers. I had a Baby Face Nelson which was attractive and delicious. At first I though it was a little weak but towards the end it hit with a bang (see what I did there). I also took advantage of the ladies night menu and got a $5 cucumber mint G&T. The cocktail pricing is what you'd expect, ranging from $12 to $16. The wine list is not extensive and I would not describe this as a wine bar. But, I would come here seeking a fancy cocktail anyway. No food served, but door dash menus are available and there is also a limited menu for direct delivery from the Indian restaurant across the road. The outdoor patio looks nice. We were there on the earlier side, around 5 PM on a weekday. Service was pretty attentive with only one waitress handling the tables. I think if they found a way to serve some simple appetizers and put in a railing along the walkway from the parking lot to the door (thinking of my husband here) I'd give it five stars. They have a weird rule in that they insist on scanning your ID, regardless of age, up until 7 PM any day - this is so that no one who orders a drink can go next door and shoot (where they also scan IDs). The shooting range closes at 7 PM. So shoot first, drink later.

A relaxing at Tommie's. Live music, great cocktails and good service. Perfect combination. Also…read morenoticed the new and lower prices on some of their specialty cocktails.
