What to even say? I try to limit my red meat consumption but when you come to a place like this what else can you order? I got the ribeye with shrimp, crab meat and garlic butter. It was so insanely good. I tried some of a coworker's tomahawk without any topper and it was still just as delicious. The asparagus was fantastic. Potatoes were delicious. Best app was the shrimp sumthin' or other. Why is bread called bread service here? Our server was amazing for such a huge party. We had 12 or 13 people. This is our favorite date night spot! Their food is amazing. I have never tasted better steak every single time we go, and make sure to get the duck fat plum butter with it. Celebrating our 25th anniversary and had a wonderful meal. There were things that could have been better- but overall a fantastic meal. The food was fantastic- we came for the steak and the wagyu was outstanding & the mushroom risotto and orange glazed green beans were unique with great flavor. Our server seemed very nervous but she was fantastic and so sweet and continued to wish us a happy anniversary and make sure we didn't need anything else. The flaming apple pie was very good (although they forgot to send the ice cream so the presentation was not as special as it could have been). We were upstairs in a room that only had one table sat, but then a huge party arrived which ruined the ambiance, but otherwise we enjoyed our meal and thought it was worth the 45 minute drive. read more

Our first time eating there. We arrived at about 7:30,they close at eight on Sunday. I ordered the 12 oz strip steak (medium) and my wife got a lobster tail. The sides were mashed potatoes and green beans. My steak was tender but seemed to be only warm. I had the impression that it was a pre cooked steak, definitely not just off the grill. We went to Third and Main last night for dinner. We did it to celebrate my birthday, Valentine's Day, and my retirement! It was the trifecta. I made reservations online through open table and in my reservation I chose the main dining room so as not to sit at a high top table. When they seated us they took us upstairs at a high top table but they quickly remedied that and we were seated in the main dining room on the first floor at a table. We did wait quite a while for someone to come by to take our drink order and appetizer order. I ordered the Ohana means yeehaw cocktail and my husband ordered a Sun King Wee Mac. We ordered the Fred's service and the shrimp and grits for our appetizer. Both appetizers were good and I especially enjoyed the habanero honey, Orange peel, mascarpone, and ricotta that we put on the bread. Moving on to our meal I ordered the Australian wagyu and my husband ordered the rack of lamb with a side of collard greens. I ordered my steak medium rare and he ordered his lamb the same way and both dishes came out perfectly cooked. This is the first time that I have had any type of wagyu beef and this is the first time that he had lamb and we both really enjoyed the experience. I could cut my wagyu steak with a butter knife it was so tender and just literally melted in my mouth. I ordered the creme brulee and the four layer chocolate cake and we shared both of those along with a cup of coffee with cream. My husband really enjoyed the chocolate cake and I really enjoyed the creme brulee so it all worked out. This is the perfect place for a date night! read more

The food was decent but over priced. The mussels were over cooked. The rest of the food was really good. For having no view and non professional staff, I'm not sure how the high prices are justified. The staff was not dressed for a four star experience. They were dressed for Applebee's. Everyone was nice but did not know the menu or pricing. They could not read the table and three different people over checked on us. Every question we had, they had to go find out. No manager checked in on our table. Chef Eric saved us with conversation from his post at the sushi bar. The place did offer complimentary dessert off of the regular menu for our birthday celebration. It was our first time there and I guess I expected more. The salt presentation was cool, but that was the only interesting thing. Train the FOH staff. Visited with 3 co-workers while on a business trip. I had the Australian Wagyu steak and it was phenomenal! I ordered it with a side of Asparagus and everything was cooked perfectly. We each got a dessert and we tried the Crème brûlée, Key Like Pie, and the chocolate cake and they were all amazing. My favorite was the Crème Brûlée with the Key Lime Pie right behind it. The waitress was paying attention to the larger party than to us and for what this restaurant trying to portray, she should have been dressed a little nicer without holes in her shirt. It took awhile to get my wine order in but once she took it, she then realized that we were going to spend $$$ so she started paying attention to us. We love it here! The atmosphere is top notch! We sat in the courtyard with the guitar player softly singing in the background. We started with the gnocchi appetizer...it's so good! It has the perfect crispness and the sauce is delicious! It practically melts in your mouth! Our grouper was excellent! It was served on a cloud of pureed celery with vegetables and the perfect seared crust and crispy onions! Our server, Drew, was very attentive and his meal descriptions were perfect! Our desserts were incredible! We are usually disappointed at other restaurants and very seldom get dessert, however, this time we tried the ricotta donuts and chocolate cookie dough cake...they were both amazing! This steak house is a staple of fine dining in Aurora, Indiana... While not fancy or pretentious (cabin rustic), it is a great place to eat!!! Oh my God my steak was good!!! We were seated immediately. I had virgin mojito for drink, and we had a dozen of oyster as appetizer. The oyster is fresh but super small, the presentation is unique, not like what i normally see. Then i had their Australia Wagyu 10 oz New York strip and husband had their 20 oz aged bone in rib-eye. My Australia Wagyu New York strip is super nice, tender juicy tasty, much better than American New York Strip. Husband said he can't taste the difference between a aged ribeye vs a normal one. He probably won't order that again. We had crème brûlée as desert, it's good and quite eggy. Overall, it's a nice dinner with great service. read more

We had dinner there on December 14. Won't return, ever. We plan to discourage anyone in our circle from dining there. When we complained about the dryness of the bread provided in the bread service, we received replacement bread service in which a half loaf of the (same) bread was merely heated. We were falsely told by our server that this was "fresher" bread. The salads were served chilled but included few ingredients beyond the lettuce. The filet was not tender, in comparison with many filets consumed at many other high caliber (and some not so high caliber) restaurants. There are many local restaurants that can deliver a tender filet - but not this restaurant. I cannot recall the last time that I complained about a restaurant, and my wife actually encouraged me to make this post, which is totally out of character for her. Aside from the food quality, the "rustic" interior does not match the high-dollar menu with Wagyu beef that is used by the restaurant to masquerade as refined. In fact, a multi-person party near us acted like the restaurant was a roadhouse. Perhaps this post will rouse an apology from the restaurant, but I cannot imagine how on Earth an apology could rectify our experience. The singular positive was that the hostess in the red dress (did not catch her name) was definitely attentive and friendly during our dining experience. Kudos to her. read more

First time trying third and main and the steak was perfect and amazing. The best way to describe the food and pricing would be to say it's like an Indiana Jeff Ruby's. We started with the bread and the topping they give you makes the decision to spend 9 dollars on bread service well worth it. It's like a creamy ricotta with and orange zest. The service was great. Although not pictured the salad was amazing. The sides were just ok. The fries were undercooked and cold and the potatoes and collard greens were just ok. The steaks were hands down the best part, cooked to perfection and every bite was so tender like slicing butter. It's extremely expensive but it's what you pay these days for good quality steaks and you have to know that going into it. Would eat here again for sure simply because of the steaks. read more

We have been wanting to go to this restaurant since we moved to the area and it was worth the wait! First off the the restaurant is darling, their customer service was great! Jessica recommended menu options that were perfect!! We started with the bruschetta that tasted incredible. I had the Pasta from Heaven!! Wow! The shrimp was large and seasoned perfectly and the lobster was the best I've ever tasted!! My husband had the Surf and Turf! He barely shared, but the piece of steak I had was delicious! And the cherry on top of this incredible meal is they had Hop for the Teacher from Fountain Square in Indianpolos! We just moved from Indy and were glad to see an IPA we love offered down here!! I've been here twice food is good, but over priced. $52 for a thin ribeye? All their cuts are thin and leave you hungry. I must say that the burgers are good. My burger was over cooked but still juicy. The sausage bruschetta was just a boring tomato sauce with a few bits of sausage sprinkled in. I do not have any complaints about the service or the ambience. Everyone was nice and attentive and kept the restaurant nice and clean. They were putting Christmas lights up outside as I walked in.
