First time here and it was just ok for me. We sat at the bar (not my choice) and ordered with the bartender. I got the lunch special chicken sandwich and it came with fries. One of the people I was with ordered an appetizer for the "table" so I ate that as well. I had a few of the cheese curds from the platter. They were good but not the best I've ever had. The bread they gave for the "table" was DELICIOUS!! Had to stop myself from eating more than one piece. The food came and I was very surprised at how big the sandwich was. It had two pieces of chicken, one big one small, and by that time I wasn't too hungry anymore since I ate all the appetizers and stuff. I ordered my usual Cornmeal White Fish with Red Beans & Rice and Green Beans. When my food arrived I counted six fillets of fish. The fish was so good I ate five of them and took one home that was equally good when reheated the next day. My granddaughter ordered a steak with a baked potato and fries. Some onion rings were still raw and the breading was floppy, and the Creamy Shrimp and Tilapia was too much sauce, not enough fillings. I usually don't review chain resturants but I had never been to a Cheddar's before and was impressed with the service at this location, so thought I would share the love. Atmosphere: 4 stars- Casual, Family friendly, American dining, with a modern design that includes an open ceiling with large ceiling fan. Service: 5 stars- I was really impressed with all of the waitstaff that I could see running around the dining area. There was a good level of teamwork and the staff looked professional in their uniforms. Was it fine dining level service? No. But for what it was, the staff did a fantastic job. Our food was hot and even the hostesses who took our names were polite and efficient. Whoever is managing this location knows what they are doing because this doesn't happen on accident. Kudos to the staff! Food: 3.5 stars- I got the chicken tender meal, which is pretty basic compared to what I would normally go for at a resturant, but it just sounded good tonight. The chicken was as good as most hand battered QSR chicken places such as Raising Cane's. The seasoning salt on the fries was very good. I got the broccoli cheddar side, which tasted just like you'd expect. Overall, nothing stood out as amazing (except the ranch dressing which was amazeballs) but nothing was bad either. I would say it was a step up from Applebee's but not much more than that. Value: 4 stars- The portion sizes were generous and the menu prices are in line with most large chain American full service restaurants. If you like Cheddar's, I think you would be pleased with this location. I think there are other options that are better than Cheddar's, but sometimes good enough is good enough. This is my second time at a Cheddar's and I wasn't sure how different it would be since the last one I went to was in Florida. This place is very friendly walking in and is very large. The bar area was wide open and the place looks like one can have a great time on a Friday night. We came for lunch on a weekday so it was pretty mellow. Weather was great so we sat outside. Service was excellent! Our guy was was so nice and attentive. He made sure we were taken care of the entire time. I had the chicken tenders plate with fries and cole slaw. Food was good and flavorful. Apparently Cheddar's is popular for making everything from scratch. I would be curious how that works for everyone considering how vast the menu was. Flavor was good but nothing that really stood out to me. We had a pretty good lunch and enjoyed it all okay. Would we say it was worth going to over and over again? Not really but it's definitely not a place to avoid either. They have a large menu and anyone should be able to find some things they enjoy there.
