Overall, I'd give this visit 4 stars. The food was very tasty, arrived hot, and everything was prepared well. The Cheddar Bay Biscuits were as good as ever, and I still love their Caesar dressing. We ordered the lobster baked potato, fettuccine, and crab asparagus, then shared everything so we could sample a variety of dishes. It made for a great meal and gave us the chance to enjoy several menu items. The service is what pushed this experience from a 3-star meal to a 4-star one. Our server has been there for many years, and she always takes excellent care of us. It's nice to see familiar faces, and her attentiveness, friendliness, and experience made the meal much more enjoyable. My biggest concern is the cost. Like many restaurants, prices have increased significantly over the years, and Red Lobster has become more of a special-occasion restaurant for us than a regular stop. The portions are generous, but I honestly wish they offered smaller portion options at a lower price point. We'd likely visit much more often if there were lighter, more affordable choices available. That said, the food quality was excellent, the service was outstanding, and we left satisfied. A solid 4-star experience. read more

You know what has gotten better about Red Lobster? Their rewards program. Some really cool offers if you subscribe to the emails. The food was good - the cajun pasta was okay. The calamari with dragon sauce was amazing. Our waitress was very kind and helpful. They werent super busy on a week night- the restaurant kind of felt empty. Red Lobster has long been one of my fav's when it comes to a pricey treat. The complimentary Cheddar Bay Biscuits get us (and most other people) in the door but the menu is full of great options, most seafood but a few not. We started with Lobster Dip which consists of lobster, spinach, and artichoke, mixed in a 3 cheese blend and served with tortilla chips. An absolutely delicious appetizer and a great start to the dinner. Of course during that we indulged in a great many of the fantastic Cheddar Bay Biscuits. For my main course I got the Admiral's Feast which included fried shrimp, clam strips, flounder, and bay scallops all fried to a golden brown and comes with 2 sides. All of the seafood elements were delicious (especially the scallops which are my favourite seafood) although with everything being fried was a little one note. I got hushpuppies and a baked potato as the sides. The hushpuppies were excellent but unfortunately the potato was very undercooked which left the majority of it largely inedible. We also split an order of bacon wrapped scallops which were fantastic. The service was mostly good which has been usual at Red Lobster. The restaurant as usual was very clean and classy and you get that awesome walk past the big crab/lobster tank in the front of the store. All in all a great meal and a fantastic treat. read more

We had dinner here earlier this evening. We hadn't been to RL since before I changed my way of eating. (No butter, cream, dairy, oils of any kind) . Our server was great! His name was Angel & he went above & beyond to make sure the items I ordered for dinner were cooked the way I requested and he made sure that my salad didn't have croutons & bacon. Red Lobster has really stepped their game back up. I know it went downhill for a while but I recently went back and it did not disappoint. I went when happy hour was still going on so i got a Tito's strawberry lemonade for only $5 and it was tasty and my fiancé wanted to try their new seafood boil. It was sooo good! I have the shrimp three ways and it was great also! Our server was very nice, the restaurant was clean and overall had a very pleasant experience. We will be back soon!! read more

Made reservations for 5:45 on 2-14. We knew that it would be crowded, but when we got to the restaurant there was a line waiting to check in. Strike 1 Finally checked in around 5:55 and was told that there would be an hour plus wait but shorter wait time than walk ins. Why make a reservation if you still have to wait an hour plus. Strike 2 A member of our party walked around the restaurant and counted 10 empty tables. Apparently, they were short staffed in the kitchen and were unable to fill the tables. So instead of telling the lobby filled with people or putting a quick note on the website, they let patrons wait for an hour and had the lobby filled with people not knowing why. Strike 3. We decided not to wait and received a text message at 6:55 that our table was ready. An hour and 10 min past our reservation. Completely unacceptable. We usually do eat at Red Lobster because of the cost and problems we've had in the past. We received a gift card for $100 And thought we'd give it a try one more try. Well that totally worked out for us, didn't it? We had to go somewhere else to eat. We are a family of 6 and money doesn't grow on trees. We had to eat at another restaurant and pay $140 out of pocket. We feel we should be reimbursed for the gift card we had...$100. The hostess was trying seat people and check others in at the same time. Management didn't even know what was going on. The waitresses were standing around waiting for people to be sat. The atmosphere is really nice and personal. I love the music. The server is super sweet. She does check in at the right intervals. The biscuits here are amazing. The Sunset Passion Colada with the mango topping is sweet at the right amount and is very tasty. The Mariner's boil is just right, perfect flavors. First of all the restaurant was so cold you could hang meat in it . The hard chairs were uncomfortable . The shrimp on skewers was flavorless. They put nothing on the shrimp for seasoning and they were undercooked . No salt or pepper and no side sauce to dip the awful undercooked shrimp in .... This location is a roller coaster for adequate customer service. Our last two visits we must have bee ascending to the dip. Today we hit the derp with the hostess possessing no or minimal customer service. This irritated my wife which resulted in us leaving the restaurant. Really wanted to try the lobster roll but was very let down. The picture on the menu makes the roll look so good but the food in person looked horrible. I immediately noticed that the lobster was shredded which did not look like the picture at all. And when I opened the container we got a big whiff of something nasty smelling. The taste was very subpar with a lingering aftertaste, bordering on that it actually went bad. My friends who were with me who have more experience with lobster both told me that the smell and taste indicated bad lobster as well. It's not like it used to be back in the old days! We ordered the stuffed mushrooms which came out cold. The cheese was barely melted and the mushrooms tasted raw. The server was nice enough to take them off our check since we barely touched them. Our main entrees were decent but not as good as the price tag may suggest. I went to the Florence,Ky location yesterday to get $100.00 in gift cards so while I was there I decided to have a flounder sandwich. The bun, top and bottom were covered in sesame seeds of which I can't eat. The menu stated that it came with fries and slaw. There was a dab of slaw on top of the fish. Went for their garlic butter crab legs and it was the worst crab legs I have ever had! They tasted like they had been sitting in water forever, the garlic and butter, although plentiful was apparently just put on the crab right before serving. Lobster fest wasn't much better. We were seated immediately but we did not get waited on because as we sat waiting on someone to come and take our order people around us was getting seated and waited on. There was a waitress that kept walking around but never acknowledged us. Even the hostess walked by our table and never even asked if someone had waited on us yet. We got up and took our silverware to her and told her no one never came to serve us and take our order. Red Lobster needs to be more aware of the service that there employees are not doing as we are not the only ones who had to get up and walk out because no one would wait on us. My husband and I love seafood and cook at home most nights. But there are two things we just haven't perfected ourselves: crab legs and lobster tail. Whenever we are celebrating a milestone or just want to treat ourselves, we usually end up at this Red Lobster for high quality dinner without the 5 star price. We currently live closer to some of the Cincinnati locations, but opt to drive to Florence because it's less crowded and faster service. My husband usually orders the traditional Ultimate Feast which features a tender Maine lobster tail, wild-caught North American snow crab legs, Red Lobster's signature hand-crafted garlic shrimp scampi and Walt's Favorite Shrimp.
