Owners are assholes. food is okay at best, very exspensive. cornbread dry as a sahara desert. service awfull. no smiling servers. bar b que sauce, which they claim is homemade and has Gracies name on it. is actually doctored up cisco, mixed in a friggin garbage can, in a dirty, dusty, vehicle filled garage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! red beans are canned, as is green beans. dont waste your money, go to King Arthurs bar b que, on lower tennessee stree, its way way cheaper, and the owner actually works there. read more

I don't eat a lot of meat so maybe this is a bit biased. When I do go to a place like this though, there should be a pulled pork sandwich. They had about every other kind of pork on the menu but no pulled pork. There wasn't anything that didn't come with an insane amount of meat. Would some fake meat kill you guys i.e. a veggie burger? The green beans were drowning in butter. I mean, it was pretty much butter soup with a few green beans thrown in. The service was pretty bad, despite there only being about 4-5 groups in the restaurant and two servers. I asked for green beans and got red beans and rice. I had to get up twice to get the server's attention. No beer on tap? Come on. Also, this pretty much seems to be the norm in Vallejo but I'll throw it out there anyway. How come everyone still uses styrofoam containers for all takeout bags? Much better, sustainable alternatives exist. read more

Been there a few times. Felt I needed to give it a couple of times before I rated them.1st time my take out order was wrong. It happens to everyone at some point so I shut up and tried again. The next three take outs were correct. Then again the fourth take out order was missing a ordered item. While the food is excellent and the service is also excellent whoever checks takeout orders needs practice. If they were busy at the time I would understand but both times items were missing they were not busy. So my advice is if you have take out. Check your order before you leave. read more

Ate here for breakfast. Pretty good. Our server on Saturday morning was excellent. Really enjoyed this place. Had the veggie omelett. The home fries were a bit bland, but still good. Coffee really good. read more

We just had the links and ribs. They were OK. Wouldn't say great. The pork ribs were juicy on the inside but a dried hard crust on the outside. The links are EXTREMELY spicy and my daughter and son in law couldn't eat them, I found them tolerable if I put a lot of sauce on. Potato salad was ok, needed more dressing and potatoes a little hard. Corn bread was ok, but marie calendars was way better. Strawberry lemonade was good. I ate 1 rib and 1/2 a link. The sauce was very good. I don't think I could give it more than 2 1/2 stars at this time. Maybe some of the other meats are better. I even made a point with them to give me FRESHLY cooked meat. It doesn't appear the ribs were freshly cooked being they were so hard on the outside. GRACIES Needs to improve their quality. I have heard such good things about this place I really wanted to like it but, I only found it average....That includes every part of it from the ribs to the dry cornbread. 3 stars is a lot better than the other BBQ places in town. Gracie's used to be our go to place when we didn't feel like cooking. Unfortunately that is no longer the case. Our last two visits were less than satisfactory. I don't know what happened but the quality has been going downhill. We always ordered the same thing, this last visit the ribs were so dry that the barbecue sauce wouldn't even save them. This is the most gentrified barbecue establishment in the Bay Area. The ribs- dry, the brisket- no flavor, the Mac and cheese- might as well eat kraft for a fraction of the cost, and the red beans and rice- mediocre at best. The best part of the meal was their famous "swap juice" and that was subpar. All in all, 1 star for the swamp juice and another star for the red beans and rice. read more

Awesome and delicious BBQ. Had my husband's birthday lunch here. We ended up splitting a plate since I know I wasn't going to finish my own plate. We ordered the tri tip/chicken combo plate. I've had good BBQ and I've got to say Gracie's is probably the closest you gonna get in Vallejo. I ordered the Hot Link and My wife got the Ribs. I was happy with the HL but it was on the plain side if the tracks. I really expected more. My wife's ribs were over done, they were not juciy and soft like what we are use to from Phil's BBQ in San Diego. Also we're used to things being saucy. BBQ just isn't the same if it's not dunked in sauce. The sides were good. I can't say I remember then fully but I know I cleaned those up. What my wife and I really liked was the huge mason jars than we were drinking out of. My wife also loves the fact that they have sweet tea, which she claims is different than sweetend tea. I myself got the dirty lemonade which I drank like 3 glass fulls. _ Maybe it was the time of day, mid afternoon, I don't know be we weren't very impressed. We plan on going back to try other dishes but we don't want to be disappointed again. Maybe I'll try something that has more fat content that way it won't be so dry. read more

I have been eating Ken's BBQ for a long time. Remember when he used to sell it on that mobile cart by Springs Rd. MCd's?? It was good then and its still good now! Swamp juice, baby backs, green beans and cornbread and I'm done! I recently had the hotlink chillie dog. That was yummy too. Everything is good to eat. Everything at Gracie's is top notch: staff, good, location. They make a Baby Blue salad that is so good it got me to like blue cheese. BBQ is yummy and make sure you get some of their sweet tea, served in quart Mason jars. read more

My fiance and I dropped in and ordered to go. The server was friendly took our order and we took a seat.... about fifteen- twenty minutes went by and we were still waiting. The server checked to see what was taking so long and they seemed to have forgotten our order! He apologized and the kitchen got to cooking. It took another ten to fifteen before our food came out. We got home, opened the to go box and was disappointed. That is a lot of money for not much food. Food was ok but I've made better. When fifty bucks feels like five dollars to me, I'll be back. WOW...Where do I begin. Liked the atmosphere, but that's where it ends. Went here for lunch over the weekend.with my family and received extremely poor service. Overpriced food for such small portions. Ribs and Tri tip combo was completely cold and got more fat on the ribs than meat. Kid's grill cheese was more bread than cheese. I had my 22nd birthday dinner here. Ambience is very homely. On nice sunny days, you should eat outside, I love their outside setting. Their ribs are good, the sandwiches are even better! Also, the cornbread is delicious and so are all the teas - my personal favorite is swamp juice :) Customer service is always so friendly and welcoming. Delicious food. I had a tri tip salad. I requested no onions though and they still put them on. Service was ok. A table sat down about 5-10 min after us and their order was taken first. Based on the yummy reviews on Yelp, me & the bf decided to try it and now it's our new spot! We had the sampler which was $30 but came with ribs, chicken, hot links, rice & beans, cole slaw, green beans, corn bread & potato salad. Our waitress (i think her name was Michelle) was helpful and hella friendly with us. And like everyone has been saying... the sauce is SOO GOOD. Whether it's the meat by itself thats delish or the sauce that does the trick... we don't care... its GOOD. + their sweet tea came in a jar.. yay for large sugar potions!! read more
