This is FULL order of chicken & tri-tip combo. This was $20.00. Soo overpriced!!

BBQ was sounding good so we decided to order from Gracie's. We had it delivered. 3 of us split the Pit Master. The beans were good. They always are. The meat was a little underwhelming though. There was a chicken drumstick, but it was so dry my mom wouldn't eat it. There wasn't much to the ribs. We got a dry end piece They also put a surprise in the order. I believe it was some kind of chicken quesadilla, but it was so soggy when we got it. It was hard to tell what it was and it didn't taste very good. I've had good meals from Gracie's but unfortunately, this wasn't one of them. Still searching for a great barbecue.

Gracie's came highly recommended by a local in Vallejo, and it did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality and service were exceptional the staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating, which made the experience all the more enjoyable. We ordered the family barbecue dinner, and it exceeded our expectations. The portions were generous, the flavors were outstanding, and every dish was prepared with care. It was the kind of meal that brings people together and leaves you fully satisfied. For anyone looking for a great barbecue experience in Vallejo, Gracie's is a must-visit. Between the outstanding food and the genuine hospitality, this is a place we would gladly return to and wholeheartedly recommend. Family friendly . I just love the entire aesthetic of this location.

The salad was wonderful The ambience was decent However the service was not as expected due to the woman at the register she wasn't very welcoming and was very sarcastic. The jambalaya soup had flavor but no seasoning and the macaroni and cheese as well as the Spanish rice was bland. I ordered the hot sandwich and asked for cheese however they gave me cold shredded cheese on the side. I would give this experience 2 out of 10, and I'm saying a two because of the salad. Felt welcomed here at Gracie's. Dining at their indoor patio was a chilling experience, but fear not. Request to turn on their propane heating lamps and you should be all cozy. The food turned out great. We ordered chicken, brisket, slaw, and green beans. A preference of mine is a fatty AKA moist brisket. Their brisket is on the lean side and some may prefer it. It would be nice to have a choice between the two. Great BBQ located in Downtown Vallejo. Ample private parking and street parking if need be.

Breakfast BLT plus was a dud. Bacon over cooked and served cold. Potatoes were warm but tasteless. Unless you count grease as taste. Don't bother with special requests. Cooks are on autopilot. Not only did they screw up our order, two of the tables around us sent plates back. If you looking for breakfast, go two blocks over to Good Day Cafe. read more

You can't beat the Bacon Cheddar Pulled Pork Sandwich on the Lunch Special. Reasonably priced and comes with your choice of a side dish. (For an extra dollar I get a piece of corn bread too.) Love that they have BBQ sauce and honey on the table. The pulled pork is seasoned nicely but I do love to drench it in the BBQ sauce. Warm corn bread and honey can not be beat. I could just order the corn bread and be happy with that as my meal. read more

The BBQ was great, place isn't fancy just cool eating area with food that didn't disappoint. The had the hot links, potato salad beans and rice with corn bread it was a relaxed atmosphere. Great for a Friday night dinner big portions of food. I will definitely be going back soon read more

Ommmnommmm. Seriously great food, friendly staff and amazing lemon pound cake. We love this place everything we have tried has been great. Love there swamp juice. Still want to try the mac and cheese but so far its always been gone. Huge portions you will leave here stuffed silly. Save room for there amazing deserts or just take one home we always grab as lemon pound cake one of those lil buggers feeds three of us. Great local affordable place to stuff your self silly. read more

This was delicious! I stumbled on the place (with my small children) needing to eat, and was not at all disappointed. We had the chicken, which was hot, crisp and moist, the hot links, and several sides -- the kids did not like their "dirty" mac and cheese, but I loved it.Good veggies too -- everything was solid, and came out pretty quickly too. Maybe not the best spot for kids, but an 'A' for the food. The atmosphere was nothing too fancy or unusual but nice and comfortable as well. read more

Liked the smell as I came in, and the barbecue was decent, but the sides, ironically were the stars. The scalloped potatoes and red beans with rice did a good job making our mouths and tummys happy during our meal. Sadly, they seem to run out of things (like the green beans). It was not a busy night, so we got our food fairly quickly. All that to say, an OK experience that could have been elevated with just a little more consistency or WOW from the BBQ. read more

My boyfriend Gary and I eat here like once a week. He loves the tri-tip sandwich. I usually get the baby blue salad OR the pulled pork sandwich. It's a fun little restaurant and the food is delicious, the corn bread is always good, the waitstaff is hilarious. I could say that the green beans are terrible but hey, everyone in Vallejo knows the green beans at Gracie's are terrible. Don't order them! Also, I wish they would make Gary a burger...we always ask and they never make the burger...their pulled pork is usually amazing and once in a while the au gratin potatoes are OUT of THIS WORLD!!! When this happens, I go on Vallejo Happenings and literally announce to the world how good the potatoes are. All in all, Gracie's is wonderful, just don't order the green beans. read more

Spare ribs were the worst that I ever had, lots of fat and overdone to the point my jaws hurt from chewing the meat. Parts of the rib was like jerky.. I'll stick to their breakfast on weekends that's good with the exception of there potato patty instead of hash browns or home potatoes not very good like a mushy hockey pucks. Service is always great but Sorry, no more ribs for me... read more

This place is good. We had the Sampler...3 people can share this and get full. The strawberry lemonade is super delicious. The service was attentive; but, I think you may get slightly better service when choosing to sit inside rather than on the patio. My wife and I tried Gracie's for the first time this past weekend. As is our habit, we ordered a bit of everything and shared. The ribs were good. Meat falling off the bone as expected. The tri-tip was ok. The hot links were not "hot". The bbq sauce was a bit watery and sweet. Needs a spicy option. The cornbread was tasty. The cole-slaw was bland, almost like a palate cleanser rather than a side. The potato salad was awful. The Texas chili had beans in it and shouldn't be called "Texas chili". Other than that it was ok. Overall, mediocre. Everything needed more spice and kick. Service, portion size and price were spot on. read more

I've been going to gracies 4 years and I've noticed you can not go there when they are slow the food taste like it has been sitting out a while went there yesterday and I was not impressed with my ribs not one bit but my wife loved her salad and the swamp juice was flat as all get up so the best time to go unfortunately I learned is when they are busy food is much fresher read more

Found this place on yelp while we were driving through Vallejo. It only had 3 1/2 stars but we gave it shot anyways and were not disappointed. Cute and clean place. Staff was friendly, service was fast. Me and my sister both had sandwiches I had pulled pork and sis had the tri-tip. We both had potato salad for the side which was good as well. We were full but could not pass up the beautiful mouthwatering desserts at the front, so we ordered them to-go to try on our way home. We got a lemon pound cake and an apple pie, they were delicious. read more

They are still working out the kinks...The food is excellent, but the service is less than good. For Vallejo, it's good. Actually for Vallejo, it''s very good. But the service is really slow. First time , I stood in front of the register for 10 minutes before I was greeted. Second time I waited 35 minutes for a sandwich. It had been on a counter for ten minutes before they realised it. Unless your standards for eating are low, you won't find many satisfying places to eat in Vallejo. This is one of the few. But if you are not in a hurry and don't mind waiting, the food is very good. Otherwise a quick drive to Napa will reward you with many excellent choices. read more

Gracie's Family Bar-B-Que is a great restaurant with a good selection of BBQ dinners and sandwiches. I would rate this place 5 stars but their dinner didn't impress me as much as I would hope. I go head over heals only for their tri tip sandwiches, pastrami sandwiches, and their SWAMP JUICE. Yes, their swamp juice has made me a big fan and also the ambiance of this place has been responsible for me hangout at this place numerous of times. My husband and I were in the mood for something different so we went to Gracie's. Bad choice. They are over priced for the portions that you receive. For $32.00 we got 5 slices of tri tip 1 and half links and 3 pieces of chicken. The sides red beans and rice, cornbread, and potato salad. The Tri tip had good flavor and so did the links but the rest was not so good. They really need to go back to the drawing board on the sides ( how do you mess up cornbread?) We wont be back. read more

We love this place. We live in Hayward and come to Vallejo to visit some of our friends. We usually end up at Gracie's for breakfast or lunch. A few visits ago I discovered the BLT on a crescent roll. Yummy! I have a habit of always getting the last best thing I ordered until I get really tired of it so I have had this two times now and I know I am going to want it again next visit. The staff really isn't very attentive, however, and we had to ask for refills of our coffee. Also, occasionally it is a little chilly in the restaurant. Those are my only complaints. Will always return here, though. read more

Well finally met Gracie. Wasn't as Graceful as i thought she would be. Feel sorry for her parents. She sure doesn't seem like she enjoys being at the restaurant. Good actor but shes really fake and needs better customer service skills for sure. Probably a spoiled grown up kid that has tantrums when she doesn't get her way. read more

Established in 1999.

Established December 15, 1999 by Ken Ingersoll. Ken a native of Vallejo worked as a refinery operator until a tragic fire that took the lives of four co-workers. Looking for better opportunities Ken took the chance and opened a small barbecue take out concession in a parking lot on Springs Rd. in Vallejo. In 1995 Ken took another chance and move to downtown Vallejo and converted an old gas station to what is known today as Gracie's. Name after his only daughter, Gracie's has flourished providing great food to great people. If you ask Ken, Gracie's is the embodiment of the American Dream. He credits Gracie's succes to the empolyees and the custamers, with out them all you would have is an old converted gas station with pretty landscape.

The space is pretty large. There's seating outside as well as a loft upstairs. It seems like people will come here to do a little work and studying as well. I came here a few times when I was working in the area. The first time I got the ham and butter sandwich on baguette since you can pretty much tell if you're gonna like the bakery based on that classic. On another visit, I got the focaccia salami sandwich. Both sandwiches were excellent. I also got a few pastries to go like a lemon meringue tart and a chocolate/ hazelnut torte. I also bought a few other breads to take home to my family. I honestly was pleased with everything I've gotten from there. I'm blessed with some pretty great bakeries where I live, but this is a place that you would wish is close to you as well.

If none of the people in your circle have tried it, it sometimes makes it a hard for one to make the leap of faith. After all, everything is pricier nowadays. So making sure you are getting your money's worth is more important more than ever. I'm glad that Sprankles always makes me feel confident about my purchase when I order from them. Recently I tried their Pastrami Club and was very impressed. Lots of good flavors. If you are person who loves extra meat or their sandwiches then I think you'd love this one. I do wish the bread held up a little better. Even though I appreciate the amount of content I get on the sandwich, I think that particular should be served on a more sturdier bread. If not then the meat could probably be reduced just a smidge. Other than that no other complaints. When you pick up your food you shouldn't have any problems with parking. Theres usually plenty of parking in their lot. I'm really looking forward to trying more things here at this cozy sandwich spot.

I got thr Korean BBQ wings, friend got the quessabirria tacos, and other friend got a burger. The wings were moist and delicious except I which they were a little less sweet and a little more spicy. Firstly let me begin by saying that I tried Gracie's years ago when they opened, and was disappointed. I remember the sauce having so much liquid smoke it made me sick. I never went back until recently. I thought to myself if they've been around this long they must have improved. Boy was I wrong! They remedied the oversmoked BBQ sauce but that's about it. I order the rib and chicken combo,with beans&rice, potato salad,and green beans. They somehow managed to dry out ribs that weren't cooked long enough. The chicken and cornbread were also very dry. The beans and rice seemed more like something you'd find in a Mexican restaurant but with absolutely NO flavor. It tasted like a mouth full of texture. The potato salad would've been okay if they at least salted it slightly. The only reason I even gave two stars is because the staff was friendly. My conclusion is that this place remains open because there really isn't anywhere else to get BBQ around here. read more

I've been going here since they first started out! They have pretty good bbq ribs and other offerings on the menu! people might claim they have had better bbq else where but I find that gracies is pretty consistent for the overall quality, cleanliness, and variety they have to offer. Their sides are pretty good such as the cornbread and potato salad. Ive had their chicken and hotlinks and those are good as well. What I really enjoy is their swamp juice lol Its basicly sweet lemonade mixed with tea and it comes in handy for those hot days! Youll also find that this bbq isn't the put in the oven and reheat cheat scheme. Their ribs are actually smoked! You will leave stuffed that much I can assure you! read more

I found this place totally by accident, while driving by on Sonoma st. lost trying to find my way to the highway. My buddies and I decided to take a break and grab some mid day lunch, which turned out to be great. We all ordered something different and every dish was fantastic from the crousant chicken sandwich to the pastrami sandwich. The staff (wish i remember her name) was also fantastic with everything from serving and greeting. I wish I could give this place a five star, but the only negative thing I saw of this place is the limitation of the menu because there isn't much to order. read more

i work up the street and this place is a joke, rice out the box!!! i have tattooed in this area for years and for years this place has sucked. overpriced and under valued. food is not worth 20-30 bucks for BBQ!!! I usually just go up to tennassee to D's the red and white one before mare island as that's where most of the V.P.D. go and anyone who wants good food at a good price. they just sell a look to try to set themselves against Vallejo. I cant appreciate a place that serves old bbq thats been microwaved, slathers on some bbq sauce, and serves some red beans n rice from a Zatarans box, and has the nerve to call themselves a bbq joint- NO THANK YOU. I have been here a few times and I leave content. The better Barbecue restaurant in town. Great service, good location, and easy parking. You must try the Iced T Lemonade, it's so good and comes in a big glass. The menu is a bit limited not many choices. The price could be a bit cheaper but in today's America; it's understandable why the prices are a bit high. read more

Food is delicous especially their sandwiches. The sides aren't so great, but hey once your done with the main course, it doesn't even matter. One thing that's not so great is that the menu is extremely limited. I believe half of the menu was N/A. It's worth a stop if your in the area. read more
