So I've been meaning to write up a review of this place because of my disappointment of spending money for a meal that ended up in the trash... I went to this establishment with an appetite and still wasn't able to satisfy my hunger because of the awful attempt to create a Mexican combination plate. I ordered the combination which comes with a choice of two items with rice and beans for around $10. First off, the rice and beans had to be a few days old and we're just reheated (common practice at some establishments), however it seems like they added milk to the beans? I chose a chicken enchilada and chile relleno as my two items. I have never, ever seen a chile relleno cooked the way this thing was served! It was basically the relleno stuffed with velvetta cheese with melted velvetta on top of it??? (See my pic) my mother in law and grandmother would've hit the cook with her chañcla if she would've seen this creature of a relleno! Gracias Gracian Grill for nada! read more

Food was good and service was good. Sadly, the staff disrespected their customers by not wearing masks and standing over us as they took our order and checked on the table, allowing their droplets to potentially infect us. Also, the table outside was dirty. We won't be back until these simple hygiene issues are addressed. Very disappointing! read more

I'm not one to ever post a review, but my experience here was abysmal. Well my wife and I ordered their hot wings, as we weren't that hungry and we got our daughter the kids pizza. When the wings came out, I almost laughed because not only were they the size of a hummingbird's wing but there were only 5-6 of them, so as you can imagine, not very filling. When my daughter's meal came out, that was the final straw. The pizza was a dollar store frozen pizza that they cooked so long, it was shriveled up and rock hard. I will not be eating here again, the whole meal was the upwards of $30, when I could've just swung by dollar tree and purchased myself a TV dinner and microwaved it correctly, I have nothing negative to say about the service, it wasn't amazing, but it was satisfactory. read more

The food was quite good. The three of us all got the tri tip special. It was a tri tip steak with any type of potato, vegetables and soup or salad. I got the albondigas soup, very good, and the garlic mashed potatoes, also really good. The tri tip was really good. The menu is huge and during dinner hour they served breakfast, lunch, or dinner!!!! I will definitely be back and I definitely recommend it. read more

Was greeted very warmly with a big friendly smile from the man behind the counter. We sat and got our order taken in record time. I even asked for something not on the menu chrizzo and beans for a dean dip and she said no problem we can make that for you ! I'm in I'm sold . Salsa is very spicy and tasty. And the margarita was made fresh and fast. My favorite. Thanks guys. Very good first impression here :)plus the food was simply perfect. I've been eating here for years. Used to be very nice. Food is ok. Not exceptional, not awful. Just... ok. 1. In winter, I loved the fireplace. They won't light it because " it costs too much". 2. Service is forced. Servers seem put out 3. After charging $2.50 for iced tea they wanted to charge for refills. 4. You can see Into kitchen from the bar. Place is dirty. Health department needs to check this place out. Go somewhere else. read more

I'm from Modesto and my parents are from Kingman Az so we met in Tehachapi because my son was going to stay with them for a week during winter break. Well after both of us driving 4-5 hours we needed a place to eat before loading back up in the car. Such good food and great prices! My dad got a tamale and enchilada and said they were good, my mom a taco and enchilada, the kids had chicken strips and my husband and I ordered a chicken taco with a Chile relleno, it was sooooo good! The relleno came covered in some type of sauce but it was amazingly good. The taco was just filled with meat and was very flavorful. Definitely will be are go to meeting spot from now on! I completely love everything about Gracian's. In my 11 years here in Tehachapi, I haven't found breakfast to compare. We go most Saturdays, and the staff are always friendly, welcoming, and I feel like I'm having breakfast at home. The home fries are wonderful, all their food is lovingly prepared, and don't even ask about their chilaquiles! Even better than the ones I had in Cabo San Lucas. If you need adjustments to your meal, the cooks seem happy to comply. I wish some of the negative reviewers had mentioned their problems to the staff, as I feel sure they would have bent over backward to fix them. Great food, great service, and a super great atmosphere. Please don't ever "update." If I wanted cookie cutter, I'd go to Henry's. Gracian's is the best! read more

I went and had the Gracian omelette again, I had almost forgot how good it is! So it's kind of like having steak and eggs, with the added bonuses of peppers and onions, guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream and tortillas! You have to try this omelette!! This is a cute place. I had the chicken fajita omelette and it was good. Ask for cheese if you want it. I liked it the way it was. It's a mix of Mexican and American...Whatever that means. You can get pancakes, porkchops, chorizo, omelettes, etc for breakfast. The hub had pancakes. He cleaned his plate. Mine I'm taking 1/2 home. Service was very good and friendly. It was pretty bad. It is a Restaurant Impossible episode to be sure. The burgers were terrible so bad my husband ate only 1/2 and the bread was stale I took it off. It was like a frozen Swanson meal. I would love to give Gracian Grill 5 stars, however the restaurant building itself really needs an update. That being said, it is very clean! Gracian's serves wonderful Mexican & American food with large portions. You know it is great food when a big group of hungry construction workers come marching through the door at lunch time. Not every Steak house can cook steak, or knows the seasonings to bring out the best flavors. I tried Gracions when they had "The flat iron steak special". I went back 3 days in a row...yes, that's how good they make that particular type of steak. They make a black peppercorn and Brandy gravy that is hands down the best I have ever sampled. And if nobody was watching me....I would have licked the plate! But I had some 2 yr.old next to me, and I didn't want to out do him. Service is great. It's a diner, so ambience is kinda low. Their garlic mashed potatoes are killer. They use the small red potatoes. Very flavorful. Didn't care for the mixed vegetable medley. Ya all need to gussy that up a mite. My wife and I went here for lunch today because of the positive reviews and couldn't even eat our food it was soo gross! We ordered fajitas and everything tasted and smelled like rancid pork fat. The food is really good, and they are fast. We have been there twice now while traveling on the 58. Both times my husband got the Chile verde, and was happy each time. I had breakfast the first time and a club sandwich the second time. Both were good, and both times we were there the service was prompt and polite. All time favorite breakfast place in Tehachapi. My family and I come every Sunday and without fail, we all have a great meal. Perfect place for a celiac to grab some breakfast (hold the toast). I noticed people hating on the Chile Rellenos, but you have to understand that they are Santa Fe style (New Mexico, don't know what part Mexico they originated from) and most folks like them. The enchildada and verde sauces were amazing. The dining area was horrific! So old and broken down, the entire room shook whenever anyone walked across the floor. (Hate to think what might happen in an earthquake!!). I was put off just driving up to the place because of the bars on all the windows and the broken down apearance of the building (and I'm not talking "shabby chic charm") I was so hungry, I decided to go for it. Outstanding Mexican food. Mexican is my favorite and I have to say, this is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to. I had the chili verde burrito.it was in a delicious sauce and the pork was very tender. I tried my husbands chili relleno which was covered in a delicious sauce I have never seen before. His shredded chicken enchilada had a very good red sauce and the carne asada taco was equally delicious. To top it off, the chips were light, just the way I like them.
