This place has a full bar and a nice comfortable restaurant. I got lucky that my friend wife knew the owner and was able to accommodate us to have Christmas Eve dinner here. This place was sold out and was by reservation only. We had gotten lucky cause our waitress was very happy and accommodating for us. I had told my friends that I would be buying their dinners. I ordered a salad and the Salmon dinner and Dave wife ordered the Christmas special Diana Steak dinner with salad and Dave ordered the Filet Mignon with a salad, he also had a couple of beers and his wife had a couple of cocktails, I didn't drink any alcohol, since I had a two hour drive back home. I insisted that we each ordered a different dessert, the desserts were really good, although the menu says they have Carrot Cake, but they no longer have that. Thank you to Lucy & Miguel who made our visit Amazing! We arrived about 45 minutes before closing and were greeted and served as if we were their number one customers. SECOND UPATE: I sent a message to the restaurant via FB messenger about her crazy remark that me quoting the law is a sign my dog is not a legitimate service dog. In all patheticness and weakness on her part she blocks me instead of doing what every other business professional should do which is offer an apology for making a mistake. Here is U.S.C. Title 42 that says, "ii) a failure to make reasonable modifications in policies, practices, or procedures, when such modifications are necessary to afford such goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages, or accommodations to individuals with disabilities, unless the entity can demonstrate that making such modifications would fundamentally alter the nature of such" Giving us the half circle booth does NOT alter their fundamental business AND MANDATES THE BUSINESSES POLICIES MUST BE MODIFIED TO ACCOMMODATE THE DISABLED PERSON. My dog is best protected by being in that booth off of the floor and the circular shape helps to support me better when I am having vertigo and dizziness. UPDATE: See the owners response below. She calls me ignorant, but the only ignorance is that she thinks her policy of how she wants to seat people according to the number of the party Trump's state and federal law for medical accommodations and in no way shape or form does it Trump the law. The U.S.C. Title 42 states she MUST MODIFY HER SEATING POLICY TO ACCOMMODATE THE DISABLED PERSON. She speaks of how people have brought in fake service dogs that bark. GUESS WHAT LADY-CFR's (CODES OF FEDERAL REGULATION) apply to businesses and say you must do an individualized assessment of each service dog that comes in and cannot treat one person with a service dog based upon a prior experience of a different service dog. This is to protect the individual rights of each service dog handler/owner. LASTLY-if you think quoting the law is a sign that someone service dog is not legitimate. You clearly need a psychiatric evaluation done. I know the law because it's my career field. It's the field that I work in on behalf of lawyers that employ me. So I know this area of the law extremely well. For you to say my service dog is not legitimate because I know the law simply tells me that you feel like I'm a threat to you because if you don't follow the law I can easily come after your restaurant and file a complaint with the county and a state against your business, so your only recourse of defense to not feel weak is to try to say my service is not legitimate and that would only make you look like a total fool because I HAVE PAPERWORK FROM THE COUNTY THAT SHOWS THE COUNTY GAVE MY DOG A SERVICE DOG LICENSE. To get that license I had to prove her training was legitimate as well as my medical needs. . SOOOO keep talking your foolishness about how my dog is not legitimate. It will only embarrass you further. PS-I actually did get what I asked for because the person who answered the phone understood that state and federal law comes before any seating policy that you may desire to have. But I put this up so that other dog owners who have real service dogs like myself and paid thousands of dollars for their service dog are aware of the mentality at your business so that they can avoid it if they don't feel like dealing with it. Your cushioned booth in the back room are not as cushioned as the half circle booth upfront and it benefits me with how they are curved so that when I have episodes of vertigo, my husband is right next to me and I can easily lean against him and he is right there And the curve also holds me upright better than a straight wall cushion like in your back room. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I'm giving a 3 star despite how much I love this place because they have become ignorant with the law. Jake's thinks they can FORCE PEOPLE WITH SERVICE DOGS TO SIT IN THE BACK!! Federal ADA law says you CANNOT treat a disabled customer different or do differential treatment in the essence of quality due to disabilities. THIS MEANS when I come in with my service dog you CANNOT shove me in the back room simply because its your policy! If I want to sit at the half circle booth up front because it helps my back pain (most comfortable cushion) and works to keep my service dog tucked out of the way then you must accommodate because my response for sitting in those 4 booths is disability related. Came in tonight after making a reservation earlier in the day. Our server was Cody and he was an ABSOLUTE DELIGHT! He offered us local sourdough bread which was amazing and warm. I ordered the salmon with a honey glaze on it with veggies and fries instead of rice pilaf (because I shared them with my daughter). My daughter got the kids grilled cheese which was on the sourdough and so delicious. My parents got the salmon as well and steak.
