Customer service from the second we walked in was fantastic. We were greeted with a friendly hello and given choice of a few booth options. Small local Breakfast joint! Excellent suits and Gravy and Multi Grain Pancakes. I had the Steak and Eggs with hash-browns, extra crispy, and 2 multi-grain pancakes. The steak was cooked perfectly and cakes were bomb! My son had the Eggs Benedict with hash-browns extra crispy. He devoured it! Our Buddy had the southern breakfast with biscuits and gravy. A third plate devoured. The restaurant probably seats close to 40, but it was packed all morning and several local are showing up for take out. What a great spot, my biggest issue was trying to figure out what to order. I looked around the café & everything looked good from breakfast to dinner plates on other customers tables. I was torn until my wife said we can come back for breakfast before we leave the area- LOL. We were seated quickly, our Waitress was super friendly & helpful (and very patient). I went with the Taco Salad, wife did her go to (a classic burger). My Taco Salad was the BEST that I have had in a long time - very happy with my choice. You can always gauge how good a restaurant is by the overflow of people waiting to get in. Driving through Tehachapi and we found Henry's on Yelp. Well the reviews were spot on. As I mentioned at the onset of this review. A group of people were waiting outside the restaurant waiting to get seated. We got on line and found it moved fairly rapidly and were seated within 10-12 minutes. The menu was large and selections were plentiful. My wife had a standard breakfast and was very pleased with the quality of the food. I had an omelette and was also happy with my meal. Good place to stop while traversing the dessert en route to or from Las Vegas. read more

We go here for breakfast sometimes. My husband and I always have great service and the food is good. They have a set price for an omelette and they will shove as many ingredients from the list of options to a few ingredients, your choice and the price is the same. My only issue is sometimes it is hard to find a parking spot, often the laundry mat next door probably uses a lot of the spaces. But friendly service and consistently good food is worth coming in for. read more

We have been wanting to try Henry's since we moved up here. All the locals have been telling us to come check it out. We came here after the lunch rush on Saturday. The place was nice a clean. I love the art on the walls. The two waitresses working there were very friendly and got us seated quickly. We got our drinks quickly as well. My boys ordered fish and chips and a cheese burger with bacon. They both loved what they got. My husband got the turkey cranberry melt as a wrap and he said it was delicious. I got the Henry's dip and it was very tasty. The only suggestion I would say is to salt the fries but maybe they don't because of the older crowd that comes in. I don't know. They had salt available on the table so I just added salt. I also asked for a side of their BBQ sauce because they make it from scratch and it's absolutely delicious!! We went to Henry's and ordered our breakfast to go. The woman who took my order was friendly and helpful. We were waiting in our car and received a text message that our order was ready. When I went back inside to pick it up, it took only a minute to bring it to me. When we got home our food was still very hot and it was even more than we expected. Next time we go to Henry's we'll probably eat there because it's such a friendly atmosphere. read more

From the outside, the place looks very unassuming, but once inside, you'll find a spacious dining area that is well-organized and comfortable. I was greeted by the hostess and requested a coffee to go. While she was preparing my coffee, I looked around and noticed that the food being served looked really delicious. Had I not arrived with a full stomach, I would have sat down to order a meal. The coffee was excellent, and I happily got back on the road. Our food came out relatively decent amount of time considering how busy they were. I had the chorizo and eggs with homestyle fries and biscuit and gravy. The chorizo and eggs was excellent. It was probably the best chorizo and eggs I've had at a restaurant, they make them just like how I make them at home. The homestyle fries were perfect. The biscuit and gravy was pretty decent. The biscuit is more on the dense bread side and the sausage gravy was good. My wife had the chicken fried steak and I had a bite. It was pretty good. She said everything else was great, the eggs, the hashbrowns and the pancake. Our waitress even offered us to go cups for our sodas, that scored extra points with me. All in all we had a great breakfast here and I think we will come back here sometime in the future, maybe for dinner next time. read more

I took my dad on a road trip for Father's Day to see the family. On the way there we looked up a place for breakfast and saw Henry's Cafe. We were not disappointed. The BLT (they were generous on the bacon) and the onion rings were delicious! My tri tip salad was huge and there was plenty of meat. I usually dont care for most home made salsas but theirs was spot on! Most important the cooks were laughing, joking and having fun in the kitchen. I normally love this restaurant for breakfast. The usual 15 to 20 min wait (Sunday after church) is well worth it. With that being said, my last dining experience there was not so great. I LOVE their Eggs or Vegetarian Benedict. But on this day (Sunday, March 29) my eggs Benedict was presented with the hollandaise sauce covered EVERYTHING on my plate. From side to side of the plate. Hash browns and all. I couldn't get my servers attention, so I asked someone walking by for a cup. I then spooned out as much of the sauce as would fit in the cup I was given. Even though I filled up this cup, I could have used another one. After about 15 minutes our server came by and asked how our meal was. I told her about my meal being smothered in hollandaise sauce but it fell on deaf ears. I would definitely recommend asking for the sauce on the side if anyone reading this chooses to order either of the eggs Benedict dishes. read more

I ordered the brisket and while the flavor was great, cut was with the grain- any chef or cook knows to cut against or 90 degrees to the grain. As always, the service was great.
