Their breakfast food is excellent. Their omelets are huge and they make great options for the omelets as well as their French Toast, paired with bacon and eggs. I highly recommend J's Place for breakfast, lunch or even dinner. They've got various options after breakfast. I was in Tehachapi traveling for work last week. I like to patronize local businesses while on the road. Honestly the food here was awful and the service wasn't much better. It took a really long time to get my order (it wasn't busy) and the burger was waaay overcooked. Skip this spot. Henry's Cafe & Jake's had MUCH better food and service. read more

Our church women's group had our Christmas luncheon at J's today. The staff was awesome. We were a party of 20, our glasses were always full. We each had separate tickets and they were taken with a smile and correctly. The food came out in a timely manner and was delicious. If you are looking for a place for your holiday gathering...go to J's. We had lunch, but they have a great breakfast menu too. Some of the best service and food I have had in Tehachapi...especially for a large crowd. They are now located where the old P-Dub's use to be, across from Savannah's. read more

My last visit here was not the best. Only one server for the whole place. When we asked for something we didn't get it. He was running around like crazy. Found this wonderful place right here on Yelp! Had lunch there, the service was top notch and not to mention the food! I had the grilled chicken salad and hubby had the club ( sorry forgot to take pictures), both were enough for 2 more meals for us. We have lived in Tehachapi for two years. It's been our mission - having lived in Ventura - to try all the restaurants in our new hometown. There have been a lot of negative reviews about our very very favorite breakfast restaurant, J's recently which seem to be politically motivated. Make no mistake: the owners and their family make the food from scratch. The portions are more than generous, food is fresh and the quality is top notch. As an extra added bonus, the staff is friendly and accommodating. We will return again and again AND we love the American flag, country music and all things Americana! read more

We couldn't wait to get in here! We love the food at the Rosamond location, and we're thrilled they came up to our Lil Mountain Town. We had the bacon breakfast burrito, and it is definitely the tastiest breakfast burrito in town. It had the perfect ratios, and the salsa was very complimentary and not overpowering.
