I was leaving town pretty early and was happy this place opens early. The pictures of the food looked good on yelp and when I arrived I saw they had a huge menu of North American and Mexican Food. And they had the whole food menu available in the morning. Not just breakfast. I ordered the enchilada plate. Be aware that there are two versions of this. One with two enchiladas rice and beans. And one with three enchiladas, rice, beans and soup or salad. The second one is obviously more expensive. I got one chicken enchilada and two cheese enchiladas. The cheese enchiladas were good. The beans and rice were very good. Very my style. Beans very smooth and rice very fluffy and flavorful. But the star of my plate was the chicken enchilada. The shredded chicken inside was so seasoned and flavorful that I wish I had gotten all three enchiladas filled with chicken. I look forward to going back and trying this chicken in their crunchy tacos. The waitress was also very nice and service was quick and friendly. The restaurant and restroom was also clean. read more

I must say the service was a little slow, but there was only two people there and one was cooking while the other did everything else. The place was quite homey and the waitress was very engaging and friendly. My wife ordered the New York Steak and I ordered the Chile Verde Plate. Her steak was very salty and my plate was too. The refried beans and the actual chile verde was so salty I was able to eat only part of either of them. Maybe it was an off-night as I liked the service (admittedly a bit slow) and wanted very much to like the food. I don't think I have ever tasted anything so overly salted. If I had to do it all over again I probably would have tried some other dish. Oh well, mistakes happen. read more

Great spot on the out skirts of Tehachapi. They do Mexican and so much more, love there breakfast and flan, flan, and flan, did I say they have great home made flan already? We went there to try the Mexican food. It was really good...EXCEPT, within 15 minutes after leaving the restaurant, all four of us developed bad stomach aches and had to urgently find the nearest "facilities".... The only item all four of us had in common were the beans.... Needless to say, we threw out our leftovers and will not be returning. Very disappointing read more

As with most of the restaurants in Tehachapi, I am not impressed. We got the cheese enchiladas & I have better frozen enchiladas. And the steak with mashed potatoes, just ok. Well, it got fairly good reviews on yelp, so we thought we'd give it a try. It is at the far end of Tehachapi Blvd., which is fine, but note that it is like at the *end* of the road. We parked in the lot, went to the door, and saw a red "CLOSED BY ORDER OF COMMISSIONER OF HEALTH AND HYGIENE" ... you know, your friendly "A," "B," "C," "Conditionally Open" ... Heading home from our family reunion and decided to stop at Gracian because we Wanted Mexican food. OMG, from the time we walked in the door a hit with everything. The chips and salsa was amazing, the food was true authentic Mexican food that was so fresh you can tell it was freshly prepared. Came here on May 2nd for my birthday, as I heard it was fabulous only to be extremely disappointed. The chips that came out were so stale and disgusting. Ordered a Chile rellano and enchilada with rice and beans. My mother ordered the same, my daughter order the pancakes. My mother and I order was seriously lacking taste and kinda had that 'sat under a heat lamp' taste? My daughters pancakes were delicious though! We all ended up eating off of her plate to fill up. We were in Tehachapi on a motorcycle ride and just wanted something close to the hotel because we were tired. We saw a ton of cars out front so we figured it had to be good. The locals know! Great little spot. It looks like it's been there since the beginning of time and has been added onto and reworked several times. There's a cafe up front, but then the dining room has a big fireplace like a steak house. But then the menu is full of Mexican food. Odd, but hey, that's what keeps life interesting. My buddy ordered steak and veggies and I went straight for the Chili Verde. Both were fantastic and the service was excellent. I was so full I could barely move for the rest of the evening. We went to this restaurant a few years ago, freezing in the winter and hot in the summer inside. Waitresses were very friendly but had excuses on turning on heat or air. Gave up on this place. I should have yelped then. Recently we decided to give it a another try and it was very chilly inside but we dressed warm. Both of our meals tasted like the ingredients were old. Very simple restaurant with great food. Service was friendly, Mexican dishes tasted authentic. We had a beef taco, chicken enchiladas and taquitos with rice and beans.
