Grace's Place in Napa is absolutely beautiful! The atmosphere is gorgeous, everything was impeccably clean, and the bar was stunning. Our cocktails were delicious, and the food was absolutely amazing. Our waitress, Joanna, was wonderful, so friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. She gave us some fantastic winery recommendations, and we ended up visiting a few that we absolutely loved! We had such a wonderful experience from start to finish. I cannot wait to come back to Grace's Place the next time we're in Napa. Highly recommend!
I've heard so much about this place I was game to finally try it: What I liked.. -Great local place. -Lots of seating. -Food was pretty good What could be improved: - Food was a little slow coming out. -Hostess was a little confusing Overall I was pleased with GT. My favorite dish was the shrimp and grits. Highly recommend if you are a fan. My Eggs Benedict was good, but I enjoyed the Cornbread. Our food did take a while but the place wasn't too slammed. And the service was a little bit inconsistent with timing. With so many great options in Napa, I would only come back for the Shrimp and Grits.
The location is in what looks a little town. Very quaint and Charming. Has the antique vintage vibe almost like in older movies. The restaurant itself is darling! Great menu and service. Has a mexi-cali menu - corn bread 5/5 - chilaquiles 5/5 - flat iron steak n eggs 5/5 - burger 5/5 Great stop on the way to Napa for wine tasting
Breakfast, as some would say, is the most important meal of the day. During my weekend in Napa, I wanted something that had a good mixture of protein but also fulfilling, checked via online and came across Grace's Table and decided to check it out. As it's street parking and also limited, we are parked two blocks away and walked to Grace's Table. We were greeted and seated upon arrival. Menus were given to us, and the staff did check in with us. We had ordered family style and shared -- shrimp & grits, grilled chicken sandwich with veggie chips and butter pasta. Portions are big and our breakfast was delicious and fulfilling. The only downside is that we did ask a staff member to add a side of the pancakes and she acknowledged and confirmed but when we checked in on the pancakes, it was never entered into the system. Therefore, after checking with two staff members and they confirmed that they didn't have that order. Aside from that incident, it was a lovely meal. Perfect way to start the day with a lovely meal from Grace's Table, would definitely return in the future.
The food is really good. I especially like how all the fruit on the plates were on the sweet side, even the strawberries. I've had the minced Kobe hamburger which was really good, and could be cooked rare. I also had a shrimp and grits. Iron skillet corned bread came with lavender butter. Nice spacious restaurant with no wait around 11-12. I had the same female waitress the few times I've been, and she was really inattentive and not that friendly. I don't really like having to flag the waitress down for every single thing (and having to raise my voice), even ordering. Everything felt like it was taking too long for brunch, when it was moderately busy. Food is good but not worth my time to return.
The location and service is great! We went there for brunch I ordered the shrimp and grits, my husband ordered the eggs Benedict. Honestly I can say that I have had better especially for the price. The shrimp and grits, had 4 pieces of shrimp, and 4 slices of andouille sausage, 2 eggs, spinach and grits. The sausage and the spinach added more flavor and character. However the grits were not very flavorful. My husband's eggs Benedict was good, the hollandaise sauce needed a little more flavor. The potato cake was tasteless. The ambience is nice and the service great but the food left me flat.
When searching for eateries near our resort I saw this one and then the husband was like this one is near the winery we should go. Say less. Then I saw they had the gravalax salmon that I wanted to try. I always get the bagel and lox when a restaurant has it. Living in Illinois it's far and few between. So that was exactly what I ordered. I like it. It's not smoked and I can't really explain the taste. However, I didn't get the fuzziness On the roof of my mouth that I sometimes get with lox. It was sliced thinner and I liked that too. I didn't try my husband's pancakes but the fingerling potatoes were delicious. Our server was efficient. They knew when and how to bring everything out. The couple seated next to us, I later found out my husband struck up a conversation because he thought the wife was Viola Davis. So now he tells people we met Viola in Napa.
The service was phenomenal! Just a little girls trip and our first stop for dinner didn't disappoint!
Shrimp and grits with eggs and hollandaise sauce was excellent. Try this for brunch- you wont be disappointed Pancakes were very light and fluffy. The egg and pulled pork taco was excellent Unfortunately they sold out of grace's cinnamon iced rolls so order as soon as you sit down to hopefully get them
This place was a must try for a few of us during the wine weekend trip for the long holiday. I myself have never been but have heard of this place and is on our list. Of course it's right in the heart of downtown so it was perfect for after dinner stroll. We had an early reservation which when we arrived, majority of the tables were empty. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. A few tables along the front patio as well as a bigger sectioned outdoor patio along the side of the restaurant. Indoor is just one big room. There's a bar counter but I don't remember if you can utilize it. Our waitress was a major doll. The sweetest ever and very friendly. Made sure that we were well taken cared off the whole time. Menu wise for both drinks and food was quite nice. I think we were all wined out after the afternoon tasting....lol... So a little cocktail here and there was tried. Food wise, there was a big group so a bunch of starters was had to share. The pork belly was delicious, small but tasty. It was basically just enjoying a nice thick piece of bacon with roasted apples with a glaze. That was a favorite amongst everyone. Prosciutto and burrata with grilled strawberries and micro greens and a balsamic glaze. You can't go wrong with burrata, it was delicious. The cast iron corn bread with lavender honey was another favorite. Something so simple yet so delicious. There was another dish in a grape leaves but I don't remember ordering it. It was tasty. Also, I could have sworn we ordered the beet salad but didn't get it...lol... Could be wrong. Anyways, starters were nice. Entrees, another mix of everything had. We each ordered our own but ended up passing things around to share. The duck confit didn't sound that interesting but someone ordered it and it was quite delicious. Think that was the best dish out of everything we had. The steak and fries were good, did like the seasoning used for the fries. The shrimp boil was ok, sort of flavorless in my opinion. Potatoes, sausage, bell peppers, onions, corn, shrimp tossed in a lobster broth. It was good but lacking some seasoning. Not your traditional shrimp boil as you would think with the loaded seasoning. Roasted chicken with the wild spring vegetables and wild rice pilaf. It's chicken, decent and moist. Still pretty tasty. The halibut with the roasted mix veggies. Nice piece of meat cooked nicely. Classic gnocchi in basil pesto, simple but good. The short rib which I believe was the special. A few piece of meat, with mashed potatoes, grilled onions and corn on the cob. It was good, meat was tender and flavorful. Also a side order of the onion rings which was also a favorite. Nice thick piece with grated Parmesan. Of course we still had to get dessert after all that. Two different one, the cheesecake with fresh fruit and the shortbread cake with creme and fruit. Both were quite tasty and a nice way to finish off a meal even though we were full. Overall, the service was top notch. Service was amazing and our waitress was a major doll. The sweetest and friendliest. Made us feel so welcomed. Drinks, quite good. Food, there was some hit and misses. We did enjoy ourselves and had a nice time. Location is amazing in the heart of downtown. I believe everything is street parking. Another place off the list.
Service was efficient and speedy! We were expecting to wait ~30 minutes for a table but got seated in 8. There's a lot of bustle here during the brunch rush but once you're seated it's easy to relax and enjoy yourself. The place is large but just small enough to still feel cozy. I don't usually order dishes I've never heard of before, but when our server read the Turkish Eggs special and mentioned the yogurt, dill, salmon, and poached eggs, I couldn't say no! I was pleasantly surprised by how well the smoked salmon and yogurt dill sauce went together, made better by the runny yolk of a perfectly poached egg. I would absolutely go back just for that special. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, though you can only get so excited about pancakes. Chilaquiles were delightfully savory, the plate was practically licked clean. Overall it's a great brunch spot for any weekend occasion!
Busy Sunday morning in a cute place. Service was prompt and friendly. Unfortunately we were both disappointed. My $24 Eggs Benedict was served with a bland Hollandaise sauce that was completely lacking in character. The potato cake that was served with it was small, bland and cold. My wife commented that it tasted like a frozen hash brown that had been undercooked. The $28 shrimp and grits included four shrimp of questionable quality, several small slices of sausage and almost no grits. Neither entrée was bad, but at these price points they should've been much much better.
My girlfriend and I stopped by Grace's Table for brunch while in Napa, and overall it was a great experience. She ordered the shrimp and grits, and I went with the chilaquiles, plus we both got iced vanilla lattes. I'll admit--I'm not a big grits person, so her dish wasn't really for me, but the chilaquiles were incredible. Easily the highlight of the meal. The space itself is pretty packed with tables, so it can feel a little cramped, but it's clean and has a great atmosphere. There's tons of natural light, and they have a wall that opens up, which lets in fresh air and makes the place feel more open. Overall, we had a really solid dining experience. If we find ourselves back in Napa, we'll definitely be back.

Came here for breakfast all excited from the reviews and the picture but was not all as I expected. Maybe my expectations were a little but too high and trust me I support the local small businesses because they have their own unique touch to the food. Ordered the French press and that was actually not bad. Not too bitter but just enough to give the coffee a kick. Got the two eggs any style with potato cakes and sausages. The sausages were burnt so I had to cut the sides out from the already tiny sausages...i got the eggs poached and it was ok. I was expecting a firmer texture the same way that I am used to from my usual breakfast back home but it was not...also got the corn bread with lavender honey and I was so looking forward to it but the cornbread was missing something....as I cut through the bread I saw corns kernels which made me feel like "oh this is going to be amazing"...the taste was blend and the texture was whatever. MAYBE the other dishes might be better....idk =T read more

Food is well thought it, and the area is open and clean. Tables by the windows are wonderful and have great lighting. Menu is a tad expensive, but it's made up for by the great wine list prices. A lot imported, but that's how you often get the lower prices. Our waiter was a little rushed, but still made time to clear our plates and get us a second round of drink before our second course of food came out. Dog friendly outside, too! read more

Worth the wait!! The line moves pretty quick once you put your name down. The fish tacos were delicios. The fish was tuna, melts in your mouth, with black beans and pico de gallo. Explosion of flavors that meld together so well. Had mimosas and the shandy which was a bit better but refreshing. Want to go back And try everything else on the menu! read more

Ugh, so sad since I now realize that they served us the wrong dish while we were there for brunch a few weeks ago. We had ordered the cornbread and chilaquiles. I had no clue what a "chilaquiles" was, so little did I know when they gave us scrambled eggs with a peperonata potato cake instead. It tasted only fine which makes total sense now since I was left wondering what all the rave around this dish was...and now I'll likely never find out :( The cornbread with lavender honey butter makes up for it though. A very delicious and interesting twist on cornbread and reminded me of eating cornbread infused with essential oils. read more

Worth the wait. (About 20 minutes to be exact.) Had the cornbread w/ lavender-infused honey butter: the cornbread was surprisingly soft and close to seared polenta. Husband did the eggs benedict: thin meat with perfectly poached eggs. I tried the chilaquiles: fatty greasy delicious mess that it is with bits of cheese on top and a very ripe avocado on the side. Came here for brunch on a Saturday morning (11am) after driving up from Orange county. The line outside looked long but we out our names down and were given an estimate of 10 minutes. Our table was ready in 2 minutes! Awesome! My girl friend and I were starving so we both ordered the Kobe steak and eggs, medium rare. It took about 15-20 minutes to get the food so that wasn't too bad. However the steak was not medium rare. More like medium or medium well. It was yummy though and we were in a rush to get to the oxbow district for a spirits tasting so we didn't complain. The potato pancake included was delicious as well if you like vegetables like bell peppers. I can't say the same for the people next to us though. The people come dressed up like it's brunch on the upper east side. Maybe it's a Napa thing, but other patrons seemed stuck up. One patron in particular kept giving the staff attitude about little things about not having menus, not getting their water before people who arrived after them. Kinda annoying to heard so much complaining while trying to enjoy brunch. It was a particularly hot day so a waitress opened the sliding glass windows that makes the store front wall so that a breeze would come in. Unfortunately she didn't move the heavy drapes and I was sitting with my back towards the drapes so the drapes eod blowing into my back and even onto the table. I ended up bunching up the curtains and stuffing them into the back of my chair so I could enjoy my meal. There were also flies all over the place. Yuck! read more

Don't let the heavy door deter you. The effort you need to exert to get inside will be well worth it. We came for breakfast on a weekday morning. While it was busy, it wasn't crowded and we were quickly seated. We had the donut, perfectly crispy on the outside and tender in the middle, the cornbread, just as advertised by so many other reviewers, and the chilaquiles, which is always a favorite of my husband's but doesn't always live up to his expectations. This one did. The eggs were creamy, while the tortilla chips still had their crunch. When we go back, we might not order the French Press coffee again. While it was a good value, we normally like a heavier flavor. The server was a delight, and anxious to make sure we enjoyed ourselves there and offered suggestions (when asked) on how to spend the rest of the day. read more

Popped in on a busy Saturday mid morning and got seated immediately. Everything we'd read had the bar high and it did not disappoint. We sat at the bar so the service was quite attentive. The place is beautiful and the food was amazing. I had the Eggs Benedict and my wife had the buttermilk pancakes. Both were outstanding. I'll try the chilaquiles next time...or the steak frites for lunch. In a town blessed with culinary perfection, Grace's stands out! read more

They exceed your expectations! I love it when you see a place and create a level of expectation of service and food quality and then they end up exceeding it. This place definitely provided service and food that I didn't expect when I walked in this restaurant. From the outside... it didn't really scream out fine dining. But the moment we were greeted by our server, he really knew what he was doing. That guy was very knowledgable with the menu... and had an amazing way of making you want their food. Now for the food... everything was Great. Their specialty corn bread with that honey butter was amazing! A must get! Hanger Steak was great. It had good flavor with the sauce they used. I was glad they had steak on their menu. After doing wine tasting the whole day, I was totally craving to drink wine with a good steak. I also was able to try some of the Karobuta Pork Osso Bucco with Risotto and that was really good! The flavor was more on the muted side which was perfect, probably due to the Risotto. I just wanted to touch a little on the price as well. Very reasonable! For the amount of food you get and the excellent service... definitely worth the price! read more

My wife and I enjoyed an absolutely awesome meal at Grace's Table over the weekend. Based on the Yelp reviews, we had to order the iron skillet cornbread with honey lavender butter and it did not disappoint. The cornbread was delicious by itself, but the honey lavender butter made it even better. We also ordered the Argentine Empanada with the Chimichurri sauce that was also delicious. Since I checked-in on Yelp, I used the complimentary Amuse Bouche on the cornbread, which was a bonus. The fish taco's were possibly the best I've ever had. We also enjoyed the Chilaquiles, since we were in a brunch type of mood. Grace's Table is a quaint little restaurant in downtown Napa. Service is very good and our server Lindsey was exceptional. Besides being friendly and attentive, she helped recommend the dishes and she couldn't have been more spot-on. I really enjoyed that everything is homemade and they use all fresh ingredients. I'll have to come back to sample some of the other dishes on the menu. read more

We loved this place! After a great weekend in Napa we were looking for a local spot to eat breakfast/brunch before heading back home. This is located right inside downtown Napa and easy to get to but based on how busy it is parking could be a challenge. For us we lucked out and someone pulled out right in front. Walking in we thought we would be on a wait, but again someone was just leaving and we got seated right away. I would give fare warning that we got here at 9:30 just after they opened and it was already super busy. By the time we left there had to be 20-30 people waiting for a table. After sitting we were greeted by our super friendly server and well its Sunday so bring on the Prosecco LOL...after a couple sips of the Prosecco our fresh made cast iron cornbread came out. This was such a good starter dish and served with lavender honey butter. Just saying if you come here and don't order this you are missing a part of life. After enjoying this and a short wait out came our breakfast which consisted of traditional breakfast for my lady of eggs, bacon and potato cake. For me I had the bacon/cheese quiche served with fresh greens salad. This quiche was so delicious and super moist with tons of flavor. The fresh salad served with goat cheese was a great compliment to the quiche. My ladies dish was a little less complicated but cooked perfectly and most places undercook bacon and is soggy...not this place super crispy and delicious. I would highly recommend this excellent breakfast/brunch spot to any local or any visitor. read more

Came up on this cute little place as we rolled up into town. Service was superb and the food was amazing. Plus bottomless coffee for 3 bucks?! Sold. I ordered the blueberry pancakes with mixed berries. It was so good! And the best part was that it came out super fast! One of my friends ordered the chilequiles and that was amazing as well. I really like the decor of the place and the giant windows they have which illuminated the whole place. Definitely a must try if you are in the napa area! read more

This place is totally overrated. Service is mediocre. I sat at the bar and this kid is washing dishes splashing soapy water onto where I was eating. The skillet cornbread is the worst. Don't ever order it! It tasted like it was cooked yesterday. The lease they can do is reheat it evenly. When I asked the waiter why it's cold, he said I had to eat it faster. Wtf??? It was on the table for 12 seconds before I discovered it was cold. Furthermore, the center was cold, while the edges were warm. I didn't know cornbread cooked from the inside out. I will never go back! read more

Recommended. Food was pretty good; fresh ingredients properly prepared. Need some additional creative choices to the menu to enhance the experience. Facility has lots of windows and can be a bit bright or hot depending upon the weather. Provides sidewalk dinning as well. Service was challenged by the Saturday opening rush. We arrive at opening and beyond coffee and menus the service dropped off dramatically. After the meal I had to send the bus boy to get the check from my server and then had to find my server to pay the bill. It put a cloud over our first experience here. read more

Cute little spot! It would be an extra star if they had a liquor license and had a full bar. Bloody Mary with the brunch menu would've been perfect. Their cornbread and lavender honey butter is as amazing as everyone says. Perfect combo just melted in my mouth. I ordered the fish tacos which was pretty fresh. The Kobe steak and eggs was okay. Their onion rings were massive!!! The chilaquiles were yum. Only other complaint would be the massive flies which kept hovering around the tables since the walls were fully open. read more

First time coming here because abc bakery was unfortunately full. I thought I'd treat my family here since the reviews aren't too bad. First impressions: The ambience is nice, but confusing. Initially I thought this place was some kind of country brunch joint. But the modern backsplash and the bar on one side of the restaurant seems out of place...well, as long as it's clean, right? As far as the food goes, it's not so bad. I had the eggs Benedict and my sister and mom both had buttermilk pancakes, which was as equally good. My little sis had chilaquiles which was a big plate of good eats. TO THE HOSTESS: be nice and smile to ALL your customers. I was already having doubts when you seated us. We had a nice server, which is the reason why I'm putting 4 starts instead of 3. read more
