Me and my friend walked in and they were decently busy, with a large group hanging out in the back and a few more tables filled in between. I've tried a variety of drinks at Goomo and I've been consistently impressed. My favorites include the current seasonal peach tornado, the mango pomelo sago and the strawberry tea. The peach tornado is a refreshing blend of swirled white peach, milk and ice and the mango pomelo sago is a sweet, tangy, coconutty treat. The strawberry tea is also made with fresh strawberries. All drinks can be adjusted. For reference I usually go down to 25% at most tea places, but I find 50% is ok here, due to the fact that they use real fruits. In addition to their delicious drinks, Goomo also serves a variety of fried snacks. My favorite is the popcorn chicken. The pieces are big and juicy, and they're served with a spicy mayo sauce that's just the right amount of heat. Service at Goomo has been fast, freindly and efficient. They have kiosks where you can place your order, or you can order online and pick up which is perfect if you're on the go. They have a couple of chairs so it is also a good place to hang and have an after meal or boba snack - and they play catchy k-pop music. I began coming to Goomo on a weekly basis months ago and I can honestly say they are the best. There are a lot of boba shops nearby but I exclusively go to Goomo when I'm around. Never too sweet, never too milky- always exactly what I wanted. The staff are incredibly nice and welcoming. The inside is cute and has a good vibe whether you come at noon or 9pm. I love the cheese foam ceylon tea as well as the mango pomelo. My husband always gets their orange yakult. I recommend all my friends and coworkers to go to Goomo. I can't speak highly enough. My friends and I decided to come here because we saw that they had bucket boba and we had to give it a try. The place itself has little trinkets of shibas which are so cute. There is a row of seats against the wall that you can sit on to wait for your drinks. There are cushions for you to sit on but I personally don't think they're comfortable, and they're small. The first time I visited, there were some small tables as well but the second time I came, there weren't any. You order from a kiosk. Price: about $7.80 for the bucket boba Service: honestly not the best that I've encountered at a boba shop. It seems like the employees don't like you and are kind of dismissive. They recently had a buy one get one 50% off deal that my friend and I came here for. The advertisements that we saw online as well as on the banner at their shop is very misleading. It made us think we can order two bucket bobas for the deal, however, when we tried to order, we were only able to order one bucket and the other drink had to be a standard drink they had on their menu. Also, it was super confusing navigating the deal on the kiosk. We asked an employee for clarification for help and she talked to us like we were supposed to know what we were supposed to do... Drinks: there are two types of bucket boba drinks you can get - the milk tea or the fruit tea. The milk tea comes with 3 toppings - boba, egg pudding, and lychee jelly. Personally I would go without the egg pudding, I didn't think it tasted as good as other egg puddings and felt like it didn't have much flavor. The boba is ok, nothing too extraordinary. The fruit tea was not sweet in my opinion and I don't recommend it. There are a lot of fruits that come in it that you can eat, you can remove the top of the bucket and they give you a fork to eat with. It left a lot to be desired in terms of taste. The brown sugar milk tea tastes like a brown sugar milk tea you can get from any other boba place, didn't change my life but I thought it tasted good. The bucket itself is so cute and fun to have. Recommendation: bucket boba milk tea TLDR; Service is not the best, but this boba place is unique because they offer bucket boba that's not that much more expensive than a regular boba drink now a days. Close to CPP/MT SAC campus so I can always come by for a quick drink :) I've had so many of their drinks already, but never the bucket size. As soon as i finished taking pics from this tea shop's exterior, I was excited walking in because all the decors made the shop all the livelier. I took my time in this local tea shop although I was just running a take out order: the barista I came across was very nice and helpful. She showed me to use their touch screen order pad to make my order. If you pay cash, you just let the barista know, and she can ring you up after placing your order. I had to try their Oolong Milk Tea Latte, but what more was that their cup showed up as the reusable type, which was even better. Here's a thought~you can actually wash it and keep it as souvenir to use as pencil/writing utensil holder which I'm gonna do. Better yet, follow their tea shop sign, run a Yelp check in or IG (I no longer have time for IG,) and you get a sticker to go along with your item order. I have high standards for my taro milks - I only like the ones with fresh taro purée, not the artificial powder/flavored/dyed ones. However, most places either do not offer taro milk with fresh taro, and if they do, they give a measly amount (1/4" to 1/2" of purée). Goomo gives at least a full inch worth of taro purée and it really came through in the flavor and thickness/creaminess of the whole drink! After being disappointed by many other places, I can confidently say that this is one of the best I've ever had. I'll definitely keep coming back for it! The boba was also just the right amount of sweetness and chewiness. Price: The prices for drinks were pretty standard with what boba costs nowadays. $5.45-$6.75 for most drinks and $7.80 for a jumbo bucket of (milk) tea boba + other toppings (I didn't get that). Service: You order at the kiosk (there are 2) but employees were kind enough to check in and ask if everything was ok. Also they asked me & my friend how the drink was after we tried it in the shop. Came here on a weekend because I noticed that they had the boba bucket. It comes with milk tea and 3 toppings. Not sure if you're able to substitute, but it came with boba, lychee jelly, and egg pudding. It's 1 liter! The boba and egg pudding were super soft. The lychee jelly was nice and sweet. It was $8 before tax. Sounds expensive, but you really get a lot for your money. I also tried the fried tofu. Definitely a tasty snack! Also kinda cool/crazy: they sell shoes! Amazing! I got the fresh mango tornado with vanilla ice cream, aloe vera, and popping mango boba. The ingredients used are so clean and fresh, and the boba was a perfect amount. Not too overwhelming, i personally hate when I'm chewing more than I'm drinking. I lowered the sweetness of the drink to add the vanilla ice cream and it was a perfect balance of sweetness and freshness. I think Gordon Ramsay would give this place a 10. Got the mango pomelo sago and dirty boba. Drinks are on the pricier end, with the mango pomelo sago costing more than $7. Mango pomelo sago- so this is essentially a mango slush mixed with sago, pieces of pomelo and agar boba/crystal boba. The drink was very delightful. I don't think I've had a drink like this before. I got 50% sugar and it was just right since the agar boba does seem to have some added sugar to it. The sago also had a nice chewy consistency which I was shocked that it could achieve such a texture. A lot of sago I've tried before is usually mushy, which made me think this might actually be mini clear boba instead? The pomelo was extremely bitter, but surprisingly went well in contrast to the drink. I guess the taste of the pomelo can't be controlled and would most definitely depend on the season. The drink definitely tasted fresh and not artificial. Dirty boba- I think that's what it was called. Typical brown sugar boba with milk. It's tasty, the boba is made just right but I prefer the mango pomelo sago over this. Ordering is very simple, just place it at the kiosk and enter your phone number. We stopped by this Boba shop at the request of my friend. They are located across from Mt SAC, in the same plaza as the Yoshinoya. We heard good things about it, so we're excited to try it. You order and pay on the machine, and then it notifies the team members. The machine even tells you what customizations you can do and even makes recommendations. I asked the team member what was their top sellers or what they recommended, (the person so happened to be the owner of the store!). They recommended the fruit tea. They told us that the tea uses all natural, fresh fruit, so I was pretty excited. I got it with grass jelly. It came in a bucket (handle and all) and happy to use this cup again (recycle)! I got it with 75% sugar which was perfect. I appreciate the machine recommended that anything less than 75% was tart because I may have ordered it with 50% and probably would not above enjoyed it. I thought it was so good!!! It has chunks of fresh fruit and a great, strong tea taste, that wasn't overshadowed by the fruit + the grass jelly, amazing! And it was only $7!
