My friends Albert and Adrian opened up this spot and I was in the area for work so you know I HAD TO stop by and show some love. They recommended the Bombtella Bowl and it did not disappoint! I eat a lot of açaí at home / from chains and I have to say that I like the flavor and texture of this açaí more than others. It doesn't melt immediately which allows you to actually enjoy the bowl without feeling rushed. I also love all of the art they hung up on the wall. It feels like you're at Disneyland. The music the play really sells the Bomberry Universe they made By far my favorite thing is that they make their own peanut butter, chocolate and hazelnut drizzle completely seed oil free. First things first, their açaí is insanely f*cking good. Their açaí has this creamy, thick custardy texture that is not too grainy, not overly sweet, not bitter, just perfect in my opinion! I would consider myself an açaí snob & im picky about my açaí and I can tell how fresh their açaí is. Second of all, get the Billy's breakfast & add their Housemade (Nutella) bombtella. OUT OF THIS WORLD seriously. Third of all, staff / customer service is something that many business unfortunately lack these days. You can tell the staff/owners really care about their business & who they are serving to. I just had the BEST Açaí bowl today!! I'm by no means an expert as I've only had Açaí bowls a handful of times from different places, but every time I've eaten them, they are either super sweet or just tasted ok. I can say without a doubt that this is the best one I've ever had! I have been watching this place under construction for a while and when I dropped off my son next door at Mathnasium today, I saw that it was finally open! I went in and was immediately greeted by Adrian & Albert, the charming proprietors of this little shop, who told me it was day 2 of their opening. They look like twins so I had to ask, but they are brothers born 9 months apart and former script writers turned açaí artists. I had questions, they happily answered. What's a bomberry? It's the cute character açaí berry with a fuse at the top blowing up junk food (as you'll see on the custom commissioned art on the walls). Lots of thought went into the design of the shop from the tiles on the floor to the color scheme. The menu includes 4 signature açaí bowls and 5 smoothies. They make their own almond butter and hazelnut butter called bombtella (like Nutella but healthier). I ended up getting the Billy's breakfast bowl and it was delightful! I was happy every time I took a bite - so many of my favorite ingredients in one bowl - it was savory, sweet, crunchy, chewy, and it hit the spot! Bomberry, is a new smoothie & açaí establishment located in the city of Walnut. I accidentally cross paths of this store when entering the plaza to get boba. I chose this instead and was pleasantly surprised when I entered. The interior looks like an old retro diner that's bright, and pleasing to the eye. There's cool artwork that features the store's mascot Bomberry. I met Albert who made me a "Heavy Hitter" smoothie, which is their protein smoothie. It was really delicious, peanut buttery, and great for a post workout treat. The service here is amazing. Just tried their Acai bowl, and I am SO GLAD that their Acai base is really good! I am quite picky with my Acai as I have tried other places nearby that don't taste like real Acai so I have been driving farther to get a good one. Now, I wouldn't have to drive far to satisfy my Acai cravings! I ordered the classic bowl but didn't notice that it came with a cranberry granola instead of an original granola. I would request the original granola for next time as the cranberry pieces were a bit hard to bite. But, I still enjoyed my bowl very much. Additionally, their mango smoothie is also very good! Got Baja blitz and Billy breakfast We usually come to goomo next door to get our favorite drink but I think Baja Blitz might be my new fave. It's just naturally sweet and refreshing. The tile and decor catches the eye, the owners are friendly and it all made the experience welcoming. We ordered Billy's breakfast not knowing what to expect but it was delicious! It was sweet but not too sweet, it had the right amount of saltiness, the açaí was smooth and the nuts made it crunchy so it was a perfect balance of taste and texture. My favorite part was the chia pudding. It was creamy and sweet. I kept digging in the bowl looking for more. I've never had something like this and had to ask the owner what it was. Best Açaí bowl my daughter and I have ever had and we have had lots of good bowls from different places. We are from Orange County and wish they had one by us. We happen to be in the area and got lucky we landed here. We had the bombtella bowl, they have their own mix of Nutella and chocolate I think, I'm not sure but it's so amazing! My daughter got additional toppings to personalize her favorite flavors. The bowl has a hint of salt which is game changer! We are seriously obsessed and might have to take a trip out to this place.
