I was craving an Acai Bowl today for lunch, and The Bowl La Verne seemed like a good choice over Robeks and Jamba Juice. And it came through!! I decided to build my own Acai Bowl. A 24oz Acai Bowl. My bases were Acai, Pitaya and Blue Majik. Toppings were Hemp Granola, Chia Pudding (DELICIOUS), Fresh Strawberries and Blueberries, and a drizzle of Almond Butter. I had to contain myself from finishing the whole bowl, it was that good! I did order ahead for pick-up, and they keep your bowl in the fridge/freezer until you get there, because I know some places leave them on the pick-up shelf and that's a melting disaster waiting to happen. I'm really disappointed with my visit. The last time I was here a few years back the customer service and everything was so good that I was excited to come back but things have changed. My son is on the spectrum and a picky eater but he'll always eat a blue spirulina açaí bowl simply cause it's blue. I asked the guy at the register if they had a blue bowl and he said the Super Bowl has blue spirulina in it. So I was surprised when I was handed a purple bowl, just to make sure I politely let the girl who handed me the bowl know that we got a blue spirulina and she deadpan responded "yea it looks like that because we blend it with strawberry" like I'm dumb for not seeing that it has strawberry and putting 2 and 2 together. That energy alone made me feel like I couldn't ask for a remake without strawberry so it could be blue. It was a missed opportunity for customer service to help out. Sadly I won't be back because of this interaction and the bowls are pricey so I would hope they would want customer satisfaction. read more

9/24/25 @ 3:35pm Food safety is out the window here. Watched the worker handle the toppings for my bowl barehanded, no gloves in sight. When I mentioned to the worker that gloves are needed to handle ready to eat foods, her excuse was that she had "just washed her hands" and they were "out of gloves" but I watched her coworker put on a fresh pair of gloves as she was giving me that excuse. read more

The açaí bowls here are seriously top tier, fresh, flavorful, and always hit the spot. The only issue I've run into is with online ordering. The front staff doesn't have access to online order info at all...only the manager does, and it's through something kept in the office. So if the manager steps out, there's no way for them to check your order. It's a bit inconvenient and could definitely be improved, but the quality of the bowls keeps me coming back. read more

I've always passed by this place on my way to work but never thought about giving it a try, so i gave it a try and glad I did, ordered the Almond butter and was delicious! Not too heavy but filling, I didn't know that it was ran by new owners that just took over, super cool guys, one of the owners was the one that made me the smoothie and he made it super quick with a very decent price for the ingredients they use. They offer a decent sized menu with plenty of healthy options. Ambiance of the store was super chilled, couple of tables for dine in but I noticed most of the customers took their orders togo. We've been going to The Bowl for years and have ordered anything from smoothies to Açaí bowls. The last few months this place is being run to the ground. Almost every time our order is incorrect, including today. The service is lousy, at best. A request of "no bananas" should be really easy to follow. It looks like literally one strawberry was cut and put on top. Having no soap in the bathroom is also unacceptable. It comes with almond butter, pitaya, bananas, strawberries, chocolate almond milk, chocolate protein, paleo granola, dark belgian chocolate, goji berries and honey. The Bowl: Acai Bowls-Juices-Smoothies is located in La Verne off Foothill Blvd, and they happen to be conveniently located in the same plaza as my Barre fitness studio. I have been walking over after some of my classes for a post work out "meal." Covid Safety - Masks enforced. 6 ft markers. Workers have masks and gloves. I have been here multiple times and this one older gentleman with a mustache was disturbingly wearing his mask beneath his nose... and not even slightly beneath but super beneath to the point you can see his mustache. Hand sanitizer provided. This place always smells like bleach and cleaning supply, so I'm sure they are always cleaning. It personally makes me feel a bit stuffy, so I often wait for my drink outside. For the most part staff is friendly, but I feel all of my experiences have been on the slow side to get the final product. They have mentioned that pre-ordering is an option, but I usually come by spontaneously... depending on my post work out mood. My go-to drink has been their Popeye Blast ($7.75/medium, $8.95/large). What an expensive habit!! The Popeye Blast contains organic acai, strawberries, pineapple, blueberries, 100% apple juice banana, fresh kale and fresh spinach. It is definitely one of the healthier smoothies they have to offer. The kale and smoothie makes me feel healthy when I have it as a meal replacement. Due to proximity to my barre fitness studio, I will definitely come back... but never if I was in a rush since they operate on the slow side. read more
