I live in Hawaiʻi and was excited to try an açaí spot in California after hearing so many great things about this place. I really like the concept of offering unlimited toppings for a set price--that's such a fun idea. The lady at the register was welcoming and I appreciated her repeating our orders back to us, to ensure she heard us correctly. Unfortunately, the açaí itself was watery. Even though the toppings were fresh and plentiful, I couldn't fully enjoy my bowl because of the texture. I hope this was just an off day, because with a thicker, creamier açaí base, the bowl would have been much more enjoyable. My Peanut Butter Chocolate Crunch was really pretty good, except some of the crunch pieces were impossible to suck through the straw provided. My daughter enjoyed her vanilla matcha with strawberries added, though she said she couldn't taste any strawberry. The most frustrating part for me was standing at the counter by the online order pickup sign and being flat out ignored for 10 minutes. Not one employee asked what the name on the order was or if I'd been helped. I had to go wait to talk to the cashier, who then went and found my order for me. The whole point of ordering online and sharing my location and everything was to not have this happen. I can't believe how long I was there without any help. First-time visitor, and it will not be my last. Immediately upon walking in, my wife and I were greeted by two employees with a "welcome. We will be right with you" greeting. I am a fan of being acknowledged with a simple "hello" or "welcome" when I enter any business. Not because I want to feel special, but to let store employees know, " I am here to spend money in your business". Returning to my visit, I noticed that the shop was spotless, the AC was working perfectly, and the shop had an aroma of fresh fruit. The young female employee who took our order was very friendly and helpful when asked a couple of questions regarding the ingredients for a drink or two. I ordered a protein-type smoothie, while my wife ordered a drink containing her favorite ingredient, peanut butter. In less than three minutes after placing our orders, my name was called as our drinks were ready for pickup. What?! That was lightning-quick speed. I was genuinely impressed with the service. We took a seat inside their very comfortable shop and sampled our smoothies; it was sheer bliss. Our smoothies were PERFECT! I was able to taste every ingredient used to make my smoothie, which was well prepared, cool, refreshing, and delicious. My wife had the same reaction. We're still loyal customers of this place! We've been coming once/week lately due to our son starting his first sports class at a nearby park. These bowls are the perfect treat after chasing a toddler around during sports. For 2 small bowls (12 oz of the base), it comes to around $19 after tax. The toppings are unlimited and are always fresh. The PB is still my absolute fav topping. I will also say that they have MANY fruits and toppings to choose from. Most acai spots don't really have a huge variation. I would give them zero stars if I could. I ordered a bowl to go. Their app sends you to DoorDash to order. My credit card was charged. My husband went to pick up the bowl and they had no record of my order. The door dash app sent me a notification that the order was ready. I called to talk to a manager, the manager was not there. The person answering the phone would not give me a name. They wouldn't give me the name of the manager so I can't call back and speak with the manager. If they're going to use DoorDash, they need to make sure that the DoorDash app works with their store. Bottom line , I paid for a bowl and never received it!!! I will have to try and dispute the charge on my credit card... good luck to me!! read more
