My car ran into some engine issues. I was able to change the spark plugs but the code wouldn't clear off a cylinder 2 misfire. Master mechanic Greg quickly repaired my steering wheel after my warranted alignment and free 29 point inspection. Had steering symptoms but so thankful he caught that and saved me from steering failure on the freeway by lightening loose bolt in the column. Very good price and mgr Matt very kind. Drove car back immediately to find out they left my coolant cap off having the coolant leak into the car. Mistakenly brought my car back at a later date for oil change. LIES AND MISLEADING NATHAN WILL TELL YOU ITS BEING FIXED BUT IT ISN'T PLEASE READ IN FULL. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A friend of ours has been a long time very loyal costumer to this place. Again tonight we got a phone call about her car not starting again and she practically begged them to fix it but they didn't.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]She has been a customer since 2018 and they have made well over 10,000 dollars closer to about 13,000. Please tell me how many mechanics have a customer that loyal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She has had no issues until recently. Maybe if Goodyear reads how they treat long time customers maybe they will care or maybe not but if they treat her the way they did. She almost got stranded tonight took her about 10 tries and 30 minutes to get her car started because 3 times of her bringing her car the Goodyear they didn't fix it. Shes had been having starting issues and she basically knew what it was because of work done late last year. From 11/25 to 06/25 she only drove the car about 900 miles and last oil change was 11/25. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She brought her car in for an oil change and the starting issues telling Christian when scheduling the appointment that it needed to go to the place that does electrical work for them that last year they were thought they needed to replace the tumbler but then didn't need to because found a way to fix the starting issue so they thought.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She explained in detail to that person and also to Nathan who was at the front when she dropped the car off. She picked up her car and the oil change and brakes were done but not the electrical she was irritated but had to bring it back for angle arms new ones so sheduled for that and left. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The issue got worse so she called and explained it got worse bringing the car in a week early for the angle arms and for the electrical again when scheduling very detailed about it not starting taking 6 or 7 attempts and when she dropped it off explained again as well as this time the store manager knew.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She was called the next day to pick it up the angle arms were done and they put a new battery in because thee one that was put in 12/24 was drain in 8 months for a car that she only drove maybe 900 miles. So again what she made sure was clearly explained about the starting issue for the 2nd time they yet again didn't bring it to the place that does the electrical as well when she went to pick up the vehicle the turn signal lights were on and had been for about 2 hours in the bay so that should show you how well they pay attention to vehicles after they say they fix them because how did they not know the turn signal lights were on for that long and when she dropped off the car nothing wrong with them. The fact the battery that was only 7 months old was drained when the car was only driven about 900 miles in 8 eight months. They didn't care to check or try to figure out why nope put a new battery in and give her the car back. Most people would of been mad about the turn signal lights and the electrical work not being done but she told them to remove the bulbs and when she brought it back for the electrical they could look into the turn signal bulbs as well but when she went to leave the car door was open and dinging but the keys weren't in the ignition like she told them was happening and the manager and Nathan saw it and heard it and the manager tried to start the car and it wouldn't start again like she was telling them . She doesn't yell or make scenes she tries to make the best of situations. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Finally got the car started got home and the next time she tried to start her car it took 7 tries that same day so she called and told Nathan and told him it was getting worse and scheduled to bring the car back the following week just for the electrical and she made sure she told them how bad it was and she needed her car this week badly and she needed the issue fixed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have 3 to 4 full days before she drops the vehicle off to call and get it set up. She called Thursday for an ETA spoke to Nathan who advised her car was never taken to have the electrical done that they were really busy and he was busy and the only one in the front so the car was never taken for the electrical to get done and NATHANS fix was for her to pick up the vehicle and she needed her car fixed so he said he was working on getting new blinkers and the car would be ready by the end of the day but she wanted it done right so advised would get it then next day and he said ok but it was never taken over for the electrical he lied so her car sat at Goodyear for 4 days nothing done. When she picked it up took 3 tried to start it and it has been getting work and her battery is drained if it was going to start it wouldn't turn over. Also they floor on the driver side cover in grease because they didn't care to put protect it at all. Also since Friday AC not working correctly. Had to stop by for a quick inspection on my car for turo and the gentleman that was assisting me was really helpful. He let me know a couple of things that I needed to updated on my car in order for the car to pass inspection. I was able to get those things fixed right away and brought the car right back and it passed inspection. He wasn't trying to upsell me on any of their products either which I really appreciated. Oh my goodness!!! It's Saturday after 5pm, I have flat tire. The ONLY tire shop open after 5 pm is Goodyear Auto Service. The second I pulled up with my hazard lights on, Natalie immediately greeted me, asked what's wrong. Explain my flat tire and worried how I will get home. They immediately lifted my vehicle and noticed big nail ( main focus was to make sure it could be patched ( , was told it be around $20-$25. Upon Inspection I was told I would need alignment and new tire eventually. When I went inside to pay, Eric ( store manager) and Natalie ( sales advisor) said," don't worry, you don't need to pay anything. I can't recall such kindness from business. Austin has been so helpful throughout the whole process. I had this large metal thing perforate my tire and caused it to go flat beyond repair. Luckily, I bought the additional insurance. Like every other working American, I'm on a 9-5 work schedule. I called Austin and let him know I was running a little late and he was able to accommodate me and help me the best way possible. I was able to slide right in the next day during lunch for them to mount my tire, since it had to be ordered. He was so polite, kind, and progressional throughout the whole process, leaving me VM's to keep me updated. I really appreciate all his hard work and I will never go anywhere else for tires. I love that you can schedule appointments online and see exactly how much you will be paying when you get there (also, look for coupon codes....can save some money). The oil change was inexpensive and the guys who worked there were friendly. They got it done in a little less than an hour, which I am completely satisfied with after my debacle with Meineke a few months back where I was there for around 4 hours...with them being right around the corner, why not give them the business? I come here often for whatever I need, usually just oil changes. The guys are usually pretty cool and friendly. They are honest too, which is a good quality in their industry. Look out for their coupons, you can easily save 10 bucks on oil changes just from a coupon. Park in the back because I don't think they want you to park in the front. This started out much longer then I decided to cut it short and keep to the facts. My 2013 has been a tad bit brutal so on Thanksgiving when check engine light went on I fell further apart. Goodyear whom I have always trusted jumped in to hopefully end 2013 much better than it has been going. I explained what was going on and since I am not a great mechanic the guy seemed confused at first and annoyed because I wasn't able to use the terms he needed to understand what was wrong with the car. That was annoying to me, because of course, that is why I am here. Otherwise they worked on the car very fast and called me back with more of a plan since they checked the car. Unfortunately they couldn't find the problem but it had something to do with the steering wheel so they suggested a couple of thing we could do. I also fixed some other stuff that my car needed and they gave me a good price without trying to trick me into over paying. They called me back and they also let me know when the car was done. Had my car looked at and and suposably fixed, at another spot. My car kept making a clank noise. I was informed my car's tires was the issue, from another mechanic. I only had those tires for a year. I went to go buy 4 new tires, from good year. The mechanic there, said he will check out the car for me. He said the tires dont look like its the issue. He said it will take him a couple hours. Gave me a discount and bundles the services. Over all, they fix 6 thing that same day. I had my car that evening. Car runs great you can feel the difference, driving it. Before I give my review, I would caution anyone considering any type of service repair done here. As a VW Master Mechanic for Arizona Proving Grounds and who is well aware of shady shops and cut corner garage mechanics. Goodyear Auto Repair in Mesa is just a prime example of a money hungry and dishonest shop with no concern for its customers, as I found out with a basic oil change service. You may ask yourself, why wouldnt I do the oil change myself? Well, its actually cheaper take it to have it done then doing it yourslf not to mention cleaner. Shops dont make anything on oil changes and they need to up sell you on other services to make profit. As I waited an hour and half to have a my oil change done, I listened to the service writer try to upsell me on a brake flush that was just done last service by me. Two hours had passed when they called me up to pay for the vehicle service. As i was driving home, all i could think to myself is to check their work. Sure enough, I found that they did not replace or touch the oil filter. The vehicle that I had service on was a 2013 VW Jetta TDI which requires a paper filter replacement which is under the engine cover. I also marked the filter housing to ensure that they at least would open it. To my disappointment i saw that it wasn't touched. As a mechanic, I would not trust them to change a light bulb. read more

Went in to have my front brakes and front rotors changed, which I'm well aware the parts for that are less than $100 so I'm expecting maybe a $200 or so quote. Got a call quoting me a whopping $1400 for everything they felt needed attention. I told them I just needed the breaks and rotors I originally asked for and they came back with $700. Only when I told them I would be coming to pick up my vehicle because anywhere else would do the job for under $300, they "magically" found a coupon and were able to get the price down to $300. So they knew they were trying to take me for an extra $400. Disgusting! read more
