This happened about a year ago, I have been to irritated to even follow up on it. I went in for repairs, picked my vehicle up and there was grease all over the front of my car, on my seat, and my door handle paint got scraped. The manager (who is not managing well) gave me his personal email which was odd. Came out and then the kid that was working on the car cleaned up my vehicle. I was truly disgusted with the way the whole thing was handled. I am so frustrated, I will never go to a Firestone again ESPECIALLY THIS ONE! They are OVER priced so make sure you shop around. If you want a good mechanic highly suggest John +1 (623) 281-6168 (he comes to you for repairs and the job is done so quickly in about 2 hours) he just recently repaired my Crosstrek and it was $465 and $100 dollars lower than a guy I know who is pretty decent with cost as well. If you value your car I would avoid this location at all costs. Granted the kid (clearly a younger man and hardly any professional experience under his belt yet apologized) However as a manager how in the world did this car get back to me without being inspected first?! I was grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Julian and the service techs last Wednesday. Like most things in life, timing is everything and needing new tires during the holidays isn't the timing you want. After calling around, it was an easy choice to go with Firestone. Julian was calm, made it easy gathering information and followed through with sending me the quote. Even though I chose the least expensive option, I believe I still received the top level service. The installation was done well and on-time. I had felt the difference w the new tires instantly. On Saturday, I took the tires on a roadtrip from Mesa to Payson and back. Brought my car here to look for leak on Air Conditioner. They told me 19.99. Then they came back and said $400 to evacuate and recharge. They then said the leak was in the evaporator and it was going to be $1000 more. I said forget it and the charge was still $400.. to put refrigerant in the system that has a leak? While I wasn't able to pay for all the recommended repairs today and needed to drive my car home without them, the staff gave me a discount on the labor for the inspection and on the engine light check, and still fixed whatever was causing a scraping sound against my wheel. The discounts were a huge relief and unexpected blessing given how tight my budget is right now, plus my car feels like it's driving a little better after removing or fixing the part that was scraping, so I could at least get it home and can bring it back when I can afford the repairs without worrying so much! Thank you so much Thomas. I got a flat about 3/4 mile from here & as I went to jack up my truck to put my full size spare tire on to drive to these guys the part to raise & lower my jack snapped. I was stranded since my insurance said it would be close to a 3 hour wait for roadside assistance. I searched for the closest tire shop & Firestone popped up. I walked there & explained my situation to the guys. They said all they had were huge floor jacks but no loaners. Thomas said give me a few minutes & came back in with his personal jack kit from his own car & said I could borrow it. I walked with it back to my truck & was able to get back on the road & drive back to them. I came here to get one tire patched since there was a screw in it and I confirmed what the issue was. It was 2 hours of waiting for it to be done. I'm not sure why it took two hours but I checked with them when it hit the one hour mark of me arriving. They went to check and said it should be done only to find out they were not looking at the correct tire even though I confirmed when I arrived what the issue was. I complained about how long I had to wait just to patch one tire and they assured me that it wouldn't happen again. Yes, it won't happen again because I won't be coming back here to this location. I brought my 2014 Ford Edge to Firestone in Mesa 6 weeks ago (12/15/2019) for a routine maintenance and spark plug change. I noticed a weird engine rattling the next day so I took it back to them and they kept it over the weekend; they called me to come pick it up and that the rattling was nothing they did but probably a common Ford problem. The next day on my way to work the Edge broke down and we had it towed to Ford. After 26 hours, multiple phone calls to Customer care, and eventually losing my cool in one of their shops, I was finally in touch with the area manager and put into a rental car that was intitially only permitted for 3 days so they could inspect their work. Firestone had a 3rd party inspect the damage and then emailed me from claims accepting responsibility and requested a quote from Ford to have the new motor installed. 6 weeks later since my car broke down and we cannot get an official approval from them to have Ford replace the engine. In the last week the rental car company has called me twice stating that Firestone has not paid the extension past the first 3 days of the rental car and I am on the hook for over $1000 if they do not answer their phones, emails, or reach out and pay soon. Meanwhile, I've paid 3 bi-weekly car payments on a vehicle sitting in a bay at the Ford Dealership. I'm desperate for someone with a little more influence to help us get somewhere with these people. Just yesterday the Firestone rep in customer service told my husband to call back every single day until we get in touch with someone who can help us figure out what's going on with the approval and help with the enterprise issue. My husband and I both work full time, we have two little girls, and this has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had to deal with and by far the worst customer service I've ever experienced. They were dishonest from the get go and could have easily admitted fault the first time we brought our car back. Heed our warning, do not take your vehicles to Firestone because if you have any issues whatsoever, you will not be helped and the corporate office and individuals are literally impossible to get ahold of. This is a communication issue within the Firestone culture that we thought would get resolved as it moved up the ladder to corporate but is now clear that it's a head to toe problem. read more

My Problems all began at Firestone located at: 1553 S Crismon Rd Mesa, AZ 85208. This happened pre lockdown, pre Covid 19 and lasted through Covid and Firestone didn't even fix the issue. I brought my BMW to them because the Service Engine Light was on, and they gave me a laundry list of problems they "claimed it had". I paid a couple thousand dollars and kept leaving, and the light would pop back on immediately, one repair was a Valve Cover Gasket, that leaked without even 1000 miles on the car since the repair. Robert ordered an AFTERMARKET gasket, then another Firestone where Josh is the Service Manager pulled it off and put a BMW gasket in for the repair. Every time they would find a new engine issue and say that was why the light was on and NEVER got me to pass emissions or turn that light off. Then they would find a new problem each time. I had cancer and was visibly bald and a cancer- patient, so I turned into their ATM. There was some young kid on my car, I saw him and his buddy even acknowledge seeing him in class. He was not even graduated. Another guy Michael Franklin who was terminated also worked on my car and the light never went out. I paid and nothing. So, I went to Motor vehicles like 10 times which can be verified by the State of Arizona too, and it wouldn't pass, after all that work. Then, Robert said it needed to "cycle" and had me doing tricks that never, ever worked. I think Jason is the only honest guy in that shop. Then, all the emissions closed due to Covid. I waited for Covid to be over so I could even get it in to the closed check stations. Work done in 2019 and when I went to go get emissions right before we locked down, It wouldn't pass. Fast forward a year and Wilkomms Repair Serviced repaired the issue and that cost 400.00 dollars and my car passed. Firestone reimbursed me for that. Then, here it is and most of the miles were me trying to get it to cycle, I drove out to Goodyear and noticed smoke. . I called HQ Firestone and then Paul the District guy called me and said to bring it to Higley location where Jacob could fix it. Josh and Jacob did, and also noticed the AFTERMARKET GARBAGE GASKET Robert had his guys put on my BMW. Jacob replaced it, I picked my car up Saturday, drove to Goodyear and home, then today went to go get gas and the Service Engine light popped on AGAIN. Every single time Firestone touches my car, even to repair a screw up they created, the Service light pops on. All of the sudden I Josh expects me to pay for a diagnoses "after" they had me car AGAIN, and no service engine lights were on. Josh who I thought was a good guy, tells me to bring it in and he's gonna charge me 100 dollars for a diagnoses. Really, and you guys still haven't fixed the ORIGINAL REASON I BROUGHT THE CAR IN WITH THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT ON. Then he says, it's electrical because the service engine light only comes on for electrical. Interesting, I never in my life heard that before, yet it's a taped conversation. He said that on a recorded call 11/08/2021 3:15 through 3:30 PM AZ . You would think since Paul told me to deal with the HEAD GUY there, Pete Monahager, they would have done just that, taken my key and left it for Pete to give direction. Nope I got shafted yet again, because they wanted to put it on the rack even in spite of the directive Paul gave Pete and myself. The original reason my car was brought in was for a Service Engine Light and the miles on it show I haven't been driving it, we had a pandemic, and this guy essentially says, bring it in for a hundred bucks I will figure it out. My car is still messed up and was NEVER REPAIRED PROPERLY. I had cancer and they took total advantage of me and still haven't properly repaired my car. read more

Was a loyal customer of the facility at 1436 North higley road in Gilbert Arizona until Thursday 10/7/21 having had tire and alignment work performed on all 3 family vehicles over the past 1.5 years. Dropped off a tire/wheel to have tire repair product (like Fix a Flat and included with most new vehicles that do not have a spare tire) cleaned out and the tire remounted / balanced late Wed. dealt with a nice young man who I assured I had no problem with the work not being done until the next day, He was unaware what Fix-A-Flat was but gave me a price and I left the assembly. the following morning I receive a call from Josh advising me to call them about the tire. when I do a few minutes later he proceeds to tell me that, since the tire has repair liquid in it it must be replaced (about 2/3 tread remaining on a high-end Continental tire) and that "it says so right on the can". I inform him that this is not true however he persists and I tell him not to do anything with it and that I will be in to pick it up. I call tire rack who backs the road hazard warranty on these tires and lists this location as a preferred installer and they almost laugh when I tell them what I was told. I then call the local dealer that does my service work (car is under warranty) who also states that they have never heard of such a thing and offers to perform the service for free. I returned to the location to pick up my tire/wheel with the intention of simply taking it and going when the older gentleman at the counter starts up with the same ridiculous story. this causes me to become very irate at which point I produce a can of the product and ask him to show me where it states this and offer $100 if he can do so. I then proceed to tell him about my experience with tire rack and the local dealer and receive a single response: "Well, it's our policy". now I could have been told this the day before if it were in fact the case however my feeling is that they simply did not want to do a very messy job that didn't generate a lot of revenue. All at of the expense of a formerly good customer. Establishments like this that appear to count on people's ignorance where car repairs are concerned are the lowest of the low in my opinion. my advice is to use them at your own risk..... read more

The husband and I were in AZ for work and encountered a pretty major issue with our car and didn't feel comfortable making the trip back home to San Diego. I was nervous handling the issue on my own while the hubby was working but Dusty (Store Manager) was so welcoming, listened to everything I needed to relay from the hubby, explained everything and got us great pricing. The mechanic, Jacob completed the repairs in record time and our car has never ridden smoother! (Plus he's a super humble guy, he refused to accept my $20 tip.) Josh completed my check out process and provided top notch customer service, was knowledgeable about my car and the repairs completed. My first time at Firestone and I bought 4 brand new tires from here, the best they had apparently. Only 3 days driving on them and I had a blow out!!! I had to pay 120$ for a tow to another Firestone. That they wouldn't reimburse me for. Not only that but it was during work and I lost another 100$ due to these crappy tires. Then the other Firestone proceeded to lie to me, saying it was a nail but they couldn't find a nail and the tire was blown all around the wall of the tire! City gate sold me faulty tires that were not even new! The date on the tires say 4/5/20. I had paid for an alignment as well. After the tire blown, my back wheels are lopsided. The Firestone I went to with this problem couldn't replace my blown tire because they were busy. They said tomorrow they can help me. The next day came and they still couldn't put on my tire. I asked for them to all be replaced with new tires because I don't trust them at all. I finally got them replaced two days later. They charged me 80$ for some fee. They just put on the new tires and they didn't even do an alignment. They left my wheels lopsided in the back. I didn't even argue with them, I don't trust them to do an alignment. I'm taking it somewhere else and I'm never coming back! I work for a lot of dealerships and automotive shops. I go to peoples houses to fix rims full time and you better believe I'm spreading the word about Firestones! read more
