Save yourself a headache go somewhere else. They took forever with my car and petty bad customer service.

I went to go get my oil change which i told myself i wouldn't go to this location anymore since they continuously do not fill my oil up all the way and nor do they do my fluids that come with the oil change. I just took my car to do a battery service at a different shop meant for European cars and they discovered my oils been leaking out because this brake master's quite literally does not know how to do a simple oil change the right way. You do not keep the old oil change components on there when you 'CHANGE' it so now i have an oil leak and have to pay to get it fixed :) there hours here are also bs please save yourself the trip and money and do not make an appt and if you are planning to make it before 4pm because they choose to go home early rather than do the proper service on your car. read more

Did not like my experience here last week and I usually always go to brake masters. Last week I noticed my breaks started to grind so I came in for an inspection. First off the woman at the counter was rude and when I asked for an inspection she came out looked at my car and said I need brakes and rotors. There was no full inspection done. She didn't even try to work out any options. So I took my business elsewhere to people that are not just trying to get over on me that provided options. I have never been in a brake masters and they not perform a full inspection and tell me I need to replace all brakes and rotors without providing options. I will not be back here the customer service is not good. If you experienced the same go to brakes plus down the way to see what they have to offer! read more

DO NOT GO HERE. Spent 1300$ to get my ride fixed. They changed my shocks and struts but did not fix the issue of my ride shaking above 45 mph. I changed the cv axle myself & fixed it for only 135$. They were quoting me another 12000$ to fix that issue (which should've been fixed the first time). Not worth the trip cause they can't fix the real issue the first time so they sold me on a deal of buy one part get the other free.. last time I'll deal here. read more

I took my Dodge Ram to this location on Dec 5. They did a diagnostic. A misfired fuel injector that had to be replaced. They couldn't do it because there wasn't enough time. So, I took it to Greulich's on 48th and Elliot the next morning. They did an estimate at $1200 tune up. I lost $200 for their secondhand estimate. I came back to Brake Master's and they finished the job at $744. I will always come back to this place. Thank you to the team who did this. read more

It's too bad that this place has gone downhill recently. I have taken my car here and loved this location for over 10 years, even going out of my way to continue using their services because they were so great. Recently however, they replaced my brakes and they continue to make this troubling sound several weeks after service, and the last straw was them charging me a ridiculous price to replace parts without even looking at the problem I described to them. On top of that, they didn't text/call when my car was ready, I had to call them after not hearing anything for 5.5 hours. After Brian left, the quality of this location has declined and I'll sadly be taking my car elsewhere. read more

Went to Brake Master for a simple oil change. While in the waiting area, the service advisor came to me and said, "I have bad news for you; your window broke and will not roll up; it will be approximately $500 to fix it." After arguing with them for several minutes that my window was working fine when I arrived and have been since I bought it new never having any issues; They said stuff happened, and it was not their fault all we did was roll the window down now it will not roll back up. All I came here for was a simple oil change. Brake Master ended by saying it was not their fault, but they would repair the window if I bought the parts instead of charging me for both parts and labor. I am still not happy paying anything since it was working fine when I drove up. If I could give them zero stars, I would. read more

So..this place is very dishonest! Came there to check my cars brakes They put the car on the lift and...said I needed front brakes and struts which will cost 900$ I told needed second opinion. Went to 2 other shops and the dealer. All shops said the brakes had 25% more life on them and that the struts are perfectly fine and the car needs nothing done it . So will never give you my buisness and or recommended your shop to a friend. read more

I really appreciate these guys. They are open in communication and they call and explain the issue and will also explain it again in person if I need it. Oil changes go quickly. They tell me what my car needs to have replaced now/soon and what can wait. Chris is the guy that I dealt with. He is newish to the location I think. I took my Ford F-150 into this brake masters to get a simple oil change. When I came back to pick up my truck, they told me there were many things wrong with my truck and quoted me just over $2,000 to fix....I took it to a friend that works at Goodyear and told me he would repair it at cost... To my surprise they returned it telling me NOTHING was wrong with it. And all of the leaks/problems that brake masters tried to charge me for were not even there. read more

Beware of these guys. Try to lie to you about labor costs Had my roommate drop off a knuckle to have a ball joint pressed in. Guy at the counter didn't show me my part till I had my card in the reader... Asked him why was it 40$ for a 5-10min job at most. "Labor" . It's laughable. Most places are 20-30$. Couldn't even lie to me properly. I wouldn't care if he just said it's over priced.. no honestly here folks. Don't expect anything from this shop. Across the street is better guys, better service. My single, unemployed daughter took her car to find out what was wrong as all engine lights were on. They diagnosed and said it would cost a few thousand dollars to repair. They diagnosed that it needed a new computer, throttle body, and head gasket. I picked the car up and replaced the throttle body for $300 and didn't need the other items as said. Appears they were trying to take advantage of her and the situation. I do not recommend their services to anyone especially a single woman. read more

Came in for an alignment. They asked me: "Do you do a lot of work on your car yourself?" No, I replied. "Because your steering column is installed upside down." They wanted to spend two hours and charge me a couple hundred dollars to reinstall my steering column. And this was preventing them from doing an alignment for whatever reason. This was a lie. I had my steering column installed by a reputable shop, and I called that place and they laughed at that diagnosis. My car would be shaking violently on the highway if it was installed upside down. Just to be certain, I had it checked by a third party, and my steering column is fine. It's this Brake Masters that isn't fine. They lie to their customers. Don't ever take your car here, even for the most basic of work. I've taken my crappy car to a lot of bizarre places to have it fixed, and never before have I been so blatantly lied to. read more

Wednesday July 20th 2016 at 7:45am i brought my car in for an oil change, break check and shindshield wiper replacemen, check my AC for optimization and to check my alignment since it was free. The guy called me and told me I had to get that my car is way out of alignment because the bushings on my front suspension upper control arms are completely deteriorated. And to get everything fixed will cost over $1700.00. I agreed with the fix and picked my car up later that day Driving to pick my kids up after getting my car back, I noticed the car was running warmer than usual. I have a Lincoln Town Car with the 4.7liter V8 engine that has what Ford calls the "fail safe system" this means the engine will run on 4 cylinders if the engine overheats and will switch which set of cylinders run as they get hot. This allows you to drive your car for a distance with your engine stalling. Anyway, I called Break Masters back and was told I should bring my car back first thing the next morning. So I did. Thursday July 21 2016, 7:30am I arrived at Brake Master, They took my car and a few hours later called me and said they did a pressure test on my coolant system and believe I have a little hole in my coolant manifold. I asked if that was the case why did they not tell me that yesterday before having me spend $1,700.00 on my suspension system. I was told that their guy forgot to check the coolant system. I was told by Dan the front desk guy that the pressure test that was done on my coolant system caused my manifold to Crack. Since my car is a 2004 the part was old and worn out. And the replacement and labor will cost me $1,400.00. Keep in mind that part of their service is to check and tip-off all fluids. If they had checked the coolant as they were supposed to they would either realized the coolant was low and should have assumed a leak or simple filled it up and I may not have had a problem. I talked with some floating manager was was able to get the charge down to $1,000.00. Total of about $2,700.00 in two days. Friday July 22nd 5:20pm driving home from work, my AC goes out. WTF! Called Break Masters and they are closed for the evening. I had my AC completely replaced there a maybe 5 or 6 months ago. I have been going to this Break Masters for many years with the past three cars I have owned. The manager used to be a guy named Kenny. Under Kenny's management the place ran perfectly and I was proud to bring my cars there. Over the years I have referred many people to that Break Masters. Kenny left Break Masters a few months ago and now this BS is happening. Let's see what BS I'm gonna be told about my AC unit that they put in ok only 6 months ago. read more

I brought my 2009 Toyota Camry in for new rear brakes & the quote was outragous! I was told I needed new Rotors also (which isn't a big deal). The quote just for the rear was $380! Then I was told my axle needed to be replaced, & was quoted $393! *********UPDATE 1/30******** Kenny from Brake Masters went above and beyond. He called me and apologized for the wrong quote that I was given and re-quoted my axle at an amazing price. I took him up on the offer & I got my car fixed there today... He even threw in a oil change! I will be coming back to see Kenny and the rest of the Brake Masters team. They really care about their customers!! I made an appointment online for Brake Service but swung by an hour and a half before my scheduled time. The entire team was fantastic to work with. They were prompt, polite and even offered a bottle of cold water to everyone who came in. The work was efficient and quick. I've been to this shop many times but this was probably my best experience and the prices were fair. If you ever have an issue bring it to the attention of Sam, he's the Store Manager and he'll bend over backwards to make it right. read more

Went in for oil change. They said a tire rotation is free and included so I thought why not. Afterwards the guy says that someone, before them, cross-threaded my wheel-lugs before and they did not want the mechanic to put this one single lug back on. They claim it was someone before them. Now the only people I had pull my tires off was Discount Tire. However, when I checked the threads myself, there was only cross-threading at the start of the stud and there were no new threads present on the entire wheel stud (as it would be when you cross thread.) I decided to take my business back to Discount Tire and Alex and his team fixed the problem with no charge. He also mentioned that that was not the only wheel-lug damaged. Brake Masters has lost my business. For the amount I paid, I can go to a dealership and guarantee the work. read more

I stopped by on a Friday and made an appointment for a oil change for Monday. They had my make and model of my car. On Monday I come in for the oil change. The gentlemen at the front desk said the oil change would take 30-45 minutes and cost $65. I walked to a few near by stores and came back 45 minutes later and my car was still on the lift. Another 45 minutes alter it was finished and cost an additional $20 because it was a not normal oil filter? I have a 2014 VW EOS. You can get a filter at any car parts store for $15 or less. All oil changes I've ever received on any vehicle include an Oil filter. read more

Brought my car in for an alignment at 4pm on a Friday on 4th of July weekend after getting a new struts and control arms elsewhere. Similar to another reviewer, they said that there were some loose bolts from the previous work and they couldn't perform the alignment until they were tightend and it would cost me $98 to tighten them or I could take the car back to the shop that did the work and come back another day since they were closing. Well since I'm going out of town, I really had no choice but I'm highly suspicious especially after reading of similar experiences here on yelp. By the way they quoted me 1-1 1/2 hrs for the alignment (They informed me about the issue at 4:15 and they were done by 4:55) they quoted me 45 min for the bolt tightening. Somehow they were able to get it all done before they closed. I'll do the math for you. They did 2 hours and 15 minutes worth of work in 40 minutes. See why I'm suspicious of the loose bolt issue. At the time to pay I spoke with Dan about my concern and he explained that he can't punish the tech for being good at his job. So I mentioned this yelp review. He said that since I had already posted it, he could do nothing for me now but he hadn't offered to do anything before I mentioned the review. He said that he'd have the manager, Brian give me a call or I could call him. I will come back and edit this review of they make things right. read more
