I went here last month because I was overdue for an eye exam. I made an appointment for my daughter and honestly I thought that I would get a call saying that they do not perform eye exams on children. My daughter and I came in for our appointments and they still didn't say anything. They have a great selection in glasses and sunglasses. My daughter and I were able to be placed in the same exam room. I went first so I could set an example for my daughter. When it was her turn, Dr. Bass was so sweet and patient with her. I was so surprised how he acted towards her. He end up giving me his feedback because my daughter does not like wearing her glasses but he gave me suggestions. The glasses were even done earlier than scheduled. I would definitely schedule future appointments for my daughter and I here. read more

The service is fantastic . Both my kids were there for eye exams . The female optometrist was really friendly to them and concise with her exams. My daughter was happy and I got goods her eye sight is perfect. My son is eyes are good last check up was 2 years ago. His prescription when up slightly. We got him digital retinal exam just in case. Pricing is reasonable and frame selection is good for the insurance coverage. He chose his frames and ordered the lens. We were in and out within 30- 40mins :) read more

The reason I enjoy coming to this optometrist is because the doctor Liu is very friendly and the front desk lady Keri is always very helpful and professional. There was something that I did NOT like, and it was very inconvenient to me when I called the office the automated answering system was trying to help me when I would rather speak to a human being representative. I find that very annoying And waste of my time. When I call the office, I expect to speak to the front desk receptionist Keri not to a robot! I hope you guys can make some changes to your phone system because it's very inconvenient for your customers and a lot of people do not like your new phone system. Keri is always so sweet and has been working there for years! She is the warm welcome that myself and so many others have known for many years. She is the main reason I return to your office. Please take care of your staff and not rely on automated answering system! Your STAFF is what brings people to want to return to your office. I found this place through my insurance coverage and I'm so glad I did! It was my first time here the other day and I have nothing but good to say about this office. Right as I came in I was kindly greeted by the lady at the front desk and she got me checked in quickly. Just a couple minutes later I was seen by Dr. Liu. We had our exam and I expressed my interest in contacts and right away she had another employee train me how to place them in my eye and removing them. I didn't catch her name but I was really struggling and she was so nice and helpful in walking me through it! I just walked in for my annual eye exam and I was able to get my glasses within the hour! They have so many frames to choose from that I couldn't decide but the staff there was able to help me pick some that fit my face. The lady working claimed that I could pay out of pocket and get a refund once my insurance is able to cover my eye exam. When the time came, they refused to give back my $120 after using my insurance too. The 3 people I've spoken with said they were unable to give refunds when clearly the first lady said they could. Overall I spent $120, while also being charged from my insurance. This is completely illegal and fraudulent. read more

Simply stated, Dr bass is the salt of the earth. He has given me the best vision correction I have ever known and my prescription is far beyond unusual/complicated. As a child I was diagnosed with corneal ulcers and my vision and rx are difficult to say the least. Dr bass stops at nothing to give me the best visual acuity. He is never abrupt or dismissive and takes the time to make sure his patient is completely satisfied and happy before they leave his office. I have had optometrists turn me away b/c my prescription is too difficult. Dr bass is a modern day miracle worker and if he can figure out my prescription, I know he can figure out anyone's!! I was not aware the guy that makes glasses only works Tuesday to Thursday. The doctor was fine but the front desk told lady said 2 weeks and glasses.would.ve ready..after 3 weeks,I called ,the same front.desk lady said.the place they sent my prescription to could not fit the lenses in the frames I picked out there. Why would they sell them? After 3 weeks and not 2 weeks as told. The lens were sent back to the store. I Ihad to take off work and bring in other frames I happen to have so the lenses could be installed. The front desk did not keep me infoanout my glasses or call. I called 3 times before she said the lens would be at the store, plus taking off work. A simple apology would have been nice but instead she was full of excuses. They are certainly not customer oriented. I will never go there again and also noticed my insurance company. read more

Quick, friendly service. From the front desk greeting to the optician to the optometrist Dr. Bass. Smiles all around. I've never had a bad experience here, or any of Dr. Bass other Vision Centers. The lab on premises in Westminster makes for 1 hour service possible with a simple prescription. My wife and family members go to there for their eye care as well and we are all treated like family. The frame selections are great! Contact lens services great as well. I've been going to Dr. Bass for a very long time and will not go anywhere else. My husband and I love these guys! Previously, we had gone to Costco and LensCrafters. Those doctors put us in the wrong prescription and the quality of the lenses were HORRIBLE. After visiting Dr. Bass vision center, they were able to correct our vision with the proper prescription. The doctors and staff are extremely personable, and even remembered who we were when we came into pick up our glasses. They estimated it would take 8 weeks for our glasses to get in, because of COVID, but they took only a week! The glasses and lenses are high quality. Their facility is clean and they have very good practices in place, to make you feel safe, during COVID. We will be back and can't thank them enough! read more

I am visiting my best friend in Cali and I had an eye emergency. My contact ripped in my eye and I needed contacts and an exam immediately. We yelped Optometrist and this came up so she drove me on down. Dr. Bass saw me asap and was so kind, helpful, and friendly. They had my RX in stock and I walked out of there in a really timely manner with fresh new contacts in. I didn't bring any extra contacts like an idiot, so they really saved me. The crew that helps you with picking glasses, they all have an attitude problem, worst customer service ever, they do not want to be there and make you feel that you are such a burden! My daughter had an appointment today & the receptionists were complaining to each other the entire time that we were there. My daughter was seen quickly. She ended up needing glasses (a 1st for her). She picked out her frames. The man told us it would take 2 weeks. Then. As we were leaving the ladies said "we'll see you in 4-5 weeks." I said "4-5, not 2 weeks?" They replied "sometimes the prison goes on lock down." I was confused & asked "what?" They let me know that her glasses were going to be made in the prison & they go on lock down so it usually takes longer. 4-5 weeks to wait for my daughter to get her glasses from prison while she is still having headaches. Shame shame. This is the 1st & it will be the last visit here. read more

When I first started wearing contacts I had a hard time putting them in. Dr. Bass was really helpful and took the time to help me learn how to easily put them on and take them off. My most recent experience with Dr. Bass' office was as good as ever. I was running a little late picking up my contacts and called to see if they were still open. They said they would wait for me. After over fifteen years of going to Dr. Bass' office I had to discontinue and go someplace else. About ten years ago the prescription seemed to be off, so I would go back and say something was wrong. They would give me a quick vision test and say it was 20/20, I knew that it wasn't correct. This happened every time thereafter, but I kept going back thinking the next prescription would be better, NOPE. Now since I've gone to another optometrist my vision is like laser focused, best vision I've had in over ten years. All I can figure is that some of the lenses in their machine somehow got switched around, because they are not giving good prescriptions. You can tell that the vision testing machine is not maintained because while getting your vision tested you can see all of the years of dust and grime and dirt just packed around the periphery of the lenses, and you have to make sure that your vision is locked and focused absolutely dead center through the lense just so you can make out the letters on the board across the room. Additionally, on my last visit, because the prescriptions seemed to be so bad, I asked the optician about going back to glass lenses and she told me "Glass lenses are no longer allowed in California." which after looking online does not seem to be a true statement, and at that point I decided I was not going to buy any more glasses at Bass Vision. I have wasted a lot of money at Bass Vision Center on below borderline prescriptions. read more

The BAD.... lenses cracked twice and each time I was treated like it my fault. Front desk lady needs to go. What an inconvenience. My family and I have been coming here for years, but after today- NEVER AGAIN. I took my mother- in- law for an appointment today, we sat and waited while the receptionist let individuals who came after us in. An hour went by and again she left someone who came after us in. Finally I walked up to her and asked her why we were waiting so long. She said it's because you didn't come 10 minutes before your appointment time. What does that even mean? If I have an appointment time why would I need to show up 10 minutes before us! Finally after waiting we left without even being seen! That receptionist needs to go! I met with the optometrist and he was very nice and professional. I didn't know optometrists uses ipads to store information because my previous optometrist didn't! Anyway, I had vsp insurance from my work and my insurance said it covers decently. He took my glasses and measured it and to see how my eyes are now. He said my eye sight changed a slight bit. Yes, he did do the eye air thing that everyone dreads but it's quick. He also went over the coverage and recommended the anti-glare and blue light protection. After that I went outside to choose my frames. I knew online that with my vsp insurance gave me $170 credit towards certain brands so I went straight to those brands and picked out a Calvin Klein frame (original price of $245) . With all the extras stuff I picked for the lenses, frame, and the first visit, the total was $216. I'm very excited to receive my glasses and it was the best experience ever! read more
