I was very pleasantly surprised when I came in for an eye exam as it's very comprehensive I may suggest doing the two other eye exams that scan the back of your eye, as well as how much blue light your eyes are filtering out. I've managed to get everything done inside of 45 minutes but they have a number of selections here in the doctor is very thorough. I would highly suggest if you have optometry days that you come by and visit this location. Went into this optometry for a yearly eye exam (new patient) and they also offered me a retinal scan for a fee and I agreed because I wanted to know more about my vision health. Once I finished all exams and paid my co-payment, I had to ask how will I get my results of the retinal scan and they said they would email me. I got an email of my retinal images but there was no diagnosis. Nothing to indicate if my vision health was in good or bad condition. I think that's ridiculous to send images of my results but no diagnosis! That's like going to the doctor and the doctor just gives you images of your MRI and doesn't tell you if you're healthy or not. I replied back to the email if I can have a diagnosis but no response. It was end of the year so I figured it they were busy. I followed up 2 weeks later and I got no response after waiting weeks. I had to call the office explaining that I paid money for this retinal scan but didn't get any diagnosis and the receptionist told me that she would follow up with Dr. La. After waiting a couple more weeks, NO RESPONSE. Now I had to physically go back to the optometry to get copies of my results so I can go back to another optometrist to diagnosis it, whom actually cares about their customers. I regret coming here and will never come back. I rarely write reviews but wanted to spread awareness on LVC Optometry. read more

Recently my wife made her second visit to LVC Optometry for new reading glasses, with VSP insurance. Scheduling the appointment was very easy, and she was seen within minutes of entering the office. A staff member made diagnostic tests on three different machines. The doctor came in a few minutes later to take more measurements for the glasses. She talked through the procedure, asked some questions, made some suggestions, and finished up with a prescription. She also spent time going over all of my wife's medications. Within a few more minutes, the front office staff assisted my wife in choosing frames, and she found a pair that she liked by about the third one she tried. The staff explained any additional charges above the insurance coverage, and said the glasses should be ready within two weeks. It was more like 6 days later that they called, and we dropped by a day or two later and got the glasses in minimal time. The technician made several adjustments for comfort. Our earlier visit had been several years earlier, but the office looked familiar. They have a wide selection of frames, easy access, easy parking. Care, communications, courtesy were all excellent. Treating Medi-Cal patients like they are less than is a downright shame. You don't know people's circumstances. But regardless, you should treat everyone equal. Very personable and knowledgeable My only comment on the office is they bring you back to take images using advanced technology. Again, this is just me being difficult, but I recommend the staff educate the patient and let them know the additional cost before we are taken back. I was asked to sit down and the nice young lady went over each machine and then said it's an additional $50. 1) I wasn't asked, I had to ask if it was required. 2) $50 is not a big deal to me, but I felt like it was an up-sale, I never want to be "sold" in a doctor's office.
