I've been going to Dr. LA for over 25 years, and she is truly one of the best healthcare professionals I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. Even after moving away, I continue to fly back from San Francisco specifically to see her and complete my eye exams and checkups. That says everything about the level of trust and care I have in her. Dr. LA is incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, professional, and genuinely cares about her patients. After 25 years, I still feel confident knowing that I'm in great hands every time I walk through the door. I also want to give a special shoutout to Rosie at the front office. She consistently goes above and beyond and provides truly world-class service. She is warm, attentive, incredibly helpful, and makes every visit feel personal and welcoming. People like Rosie are a huge part of what makes this office so special. After 25 years, I can honestly say that the combination of exceptional care, professionalism, and genuine kindness is why I continue to make the trip back. I highly recommend Dr. LA and her entire team! read more

I had such a great experience here. Everyone was kind and welcoming. I wish I could remember the name of the gentleman who assisted me... he was funny, cordial, and really went above and beyond. I was very pleasantly surprised when I came in for an eye exam as it's very comprehensive I may suggest doing the two other eye exams that scan the back of your eye, as well as how much blue light your eyes are filtering out. I've managed to get everything done inside of 45 minutes but they have a number of selections here in the doctor is very thorough. I would highly suggest if you have optometry days that you come by and visit this location. Be sure to call in and schedule an appointment. provided a copy of the business card and you'll get over 20 years of experience.! I am very thankful that I got this visit today as my eyesight has been deteriorating over the last few years due to aging, but likely, the experience and knowledge of the doctor helped me get a prescription that has made my life so much easier . read more

Went into this optometry for a yearly eye exam (new patient) and they also offered me a retinal scan for a fee and I agreed because I wanted to know more about my vision health. Once I finished all exams and paid my co-payment, I had to ask how will I get my results of the retinal scan and they said they would email me. I got an email of my retinal images but there was no diagnosis. Nothing to indicate if my vision health was in good or bad condition. I think that's ridiculous to send images of my results but no diagnosis! That's like going to the doctor and the doctor just gives you images of your MRI and doesn't tell you if you're healthy or not. I replied back to the email if I can have a diagnosis but no response. It was end of the year so I figured it they were busy. I followed up 2 weeks later and I got no response after waiting weeks. I had to call the office explaining that I paid money for this retinal scan but didn't get any diagnosis and the receptionist told me that she would follow up with Dr. La. After waiting a couple more weeks, NO RESPONSE. Now I had to physically go back to the optometry to get copies of my results so I can go back to another optometrist to diagnosis it, whom actually cares about their customers. I regret coming here and will never come back. I rarely write reviews but wanted to spread awareness on LVC Optometry. read more

Recently my wife made her second visit to LVC Optometry for new reading glasses, with VSP insurance. Scheduling the appointment was very easy, and she was seen within minutes of entering the office. A staff member made diagnostic tests on three different machines. The doctor came in a few minutes later to take more measurements for the glasses. She talked through the procedure, asked some questions, made some suggestions, and finished up with a prescription. She also spent time going over all of my wife's medications. Within a few more minutes, the front office staff assisted my wife in choosing frames, and she found a pair that she liked by about the third one she tried. The staff explained any additional charges above the insurance coverage, and said the glasses should be ready within two weeks. It was more like 6 days later that they called, and we dropped by a day or two later and got the glasses in minimal time. The technician made several adjustments for comfort. Our earlier visit had been several years earlier, but the office looked familiar. They have a wide selection of frames, easy access, easy parking. Care, communications, courtesy were all excellent. Couldn't ask for more. read more

Doctor is pleasant and is thorough with her examination. Her staff were not good at communicating the additional fees and I won't be returning because of the front desk staff. The doctor did reach out to me to work things out and I received my records so I could start fresh somewhere else. read more

I don't usually leave comments on any page or for any place I've visited, one day I decided to visit LVC Optometry in Huntington Beach and from the moment I entered the place after scheduling my appointment I realized the quality and warmth of the place, from the girl who is at the reception I already felt very comfortable, for the first time in my life I had had my eye exam , and I was a little nervous, but once Dr. Quyen appeared she charmed me with her beautiful smile and her friendly attitude, and proceeded to begin with the exam which she forgivingly did very professionally and I felt very comfortable, in addition to her friendliness and charisma, her professionalism convinced me to come to the best place, I definitely recommend this place 100% Their prices and the frames for the glasses are very good and they accept Medical and other insurances, I have nothing left to say but that I am fascinated with having had my exam here and especially because I thought Dr. Quyen was so nice! read more

I've been a loyal customer of LVC Optometry for 5 years and not planning on going anywhere else. In the last year, we've also brought our oldest son in there for glasses. Dr. La is professional and always have her patients' best interest at heart. But the best part about Dr. La is that she doesn't treat her patient as just another customers. She takes time to get to know you better on a personal level in an effort to make you more comfortable. LVC Optometry has an endless option of glasses for you to chose from and if there's a specific glasses you're looking for but not in the showroom, the front office staff will make sure to find it online and order it if available. Speaking of front office staff, they're super top notch. Professional, kind and very patient. They'll work with you on everything from scheduling all the way to working out a payment/pricing plan that works for both parties. They are very transparent about how they price their services and glasses including your deductible from your insurance. Really disappointed in the service here lately. These are some rough times for everyone. This business should learn to operate with grace. Treating Medi-Cal patients like they are less than is a downright shame. You don't know people's circumstances. But regardless, you should treat everyone equal. You're there to provide a service, not place judgement on the socioeconomic status of your patients. I'll keep this staff in my prayers because you could obviously use it. read more

Loved Dr. La! Office opened on time. Staff was friendly. Dr. La was very informative and had a sweet disposition. Very personable and knowledgeable My only comment on the office is they bring you back to take images using advanced technology. Again, this is just me being difficult, but I recommend the staff educate the patient and let them know the additional cost before we are taken back. I was asked to sit down and the nice young lady went over each machine and then said it's an additional $50. 1) I wasn't asked, I had to ask if it was required. 2) $50 is not a big deal to me, but I felt like it was an up-sale, I never want to be "sold" in a doctor's office. Not even my derm, I guess it's the patient experience. Otherwise amazing doctor, come see her read more

My daughter is 4.5 and I wasn't sure at what age is appropriate to have her eyes checked. Since it was time for me to get my eyes examined I figured I would get hers done as well. She was very apprehensive initially. I guess I should never say "Dr" because then she automatically associated the visit with needles and poking. Anyhow, Dr. La has a very kind and gentle approach which put both my daughter and I at ease and we were able to get through the exam swiftly and to my surprise she actually had fun at her visit! read more
