I came here because they were close to me and had good reviews. Unfortunately, the end result did not meet the expectation. Their optometrist went with a completely different prescription. I took her advice and tried out the prescription for a few days. They had already processed my order under the new prescription, I came back and told the doctor that it was giving me headaches and wasn't working, she then made an excuse saying oh that was your old prescription. I asked why she was telling me to try my old prescription with these contacts she gave me. I took the contacts that they gave me open them and after two sets neither of them right eye or left eye fit correctly. I reached out and told them I would be going to a different optometrist, but that I wanted to return my contacts. They told me because I opened the boxes that they gave me that were incorrect. They could only return the unopened boxes, but that they could exchange them with Cooper vision but we're still going to be unable to provide me a return their representative. Vanessa was extremely argumentative on the phone and told me that they stand behind their customers but that because I wanted to go somewhere else, there was nothing they could do for me. Told them I'd never come back and I'm going to dispute their charges to VSP and to my credit card. Her excuse was they would take a loss on their error so there was nothing they could do for me. Plenty of better options in the area! Update, went to a lens crafters and got a different prescription with a different axis and cylinder and no headaches or issues. read more

My daughter had the best first experience at the optometrist! We walked in and were instantly greeted by the friendliest front desk staff. They were great at explaining the forms I was signing. They took time to explain our vision benefits and we were blown away with benefits we didn't even know we had because no one ever took the time to explain them to us. I have personally been to 3 different optometry offices in the past 3 years and have never been as happy as I was at this visit. My daughter smiled and felt comfortable the entire time. I tried Global Vision after my optometrist of 10 years retired, Dr. Vong is very friendly and informative but all of the extra charges connected to this office was ridiculous. I get some things are an insurance thing, but on top of a $10 copay I had to pay an additional $65 in fees for a contact lens fitting and eye imaging. Maybe I should have done more research on fees connected here, but between this and the extra charges for lenses/frames for my glasses I walked away spending $250 out of pocket the first time I had ever been there (and that's with insurance). Not to mention that I also needed to purchase contact lenses, and was presented with a costly bill should I had gone through the office. Luckily I went elsewhere and was able to save a lot of money. I wish I had known about these charges before I visited, the other reviews raved about this office so I was excited. I guess if you're not worried about spending a lot then this place isn't bad, but I'll be looking elsewhere for my next optometrist. read more

She continued to ask if I had an appointment or prescription already. No. I am JUST looking. Please give me my space and let me browse. Do they not want any new patients? If I see something I like I will inquire but they didn't even give me a chance. What an awful feeling it is to be judged and not given a chance to look around freely. In response, please do not make up lies about me storming in. You're an optometrist office. Don't flatter yourself. Just because your staff is lazy, not awake, and ready to work at opening is not anyone's problem except your own. I saw the red sign. No one was at the door to check my temperature and I only set ONE foot inside and possibly took one step. I did not approach anyone. Again more lies. Honestly, I should thank you because after the awful experience I had in your office, I found Dr. Hamada on Edinger. That visit was so enjoyable. Their staff helped me right away and did not pressure me. The office is wide open and clean. I DID NOT have an appointment with them but they accommodated me right away even though they were obviously busy. And they are busy for good reason, Dr. Hamada was so kind, helpful, and listen to all my concerns. So thank you! You obviously pay Yelp to filter your reviews. Because there is no way that any of these 5 star reviews are accurate. Your office is small, dark, and dingy. And it doesn't look like you had a very good selection either. read more

So I finally decided to get my annual eye exam which I've been lazy about because of COVID and all so 2020 was a miss. I found this location on yelp and saw some promising reviews. I literally called this morning and they were able to see me today. The staff was super helpful and understanding, I loved their atmosphere. The reason I decided to look for a new optometrist is because my old optometrist was not the greatest at explaining anything and I literally felt like he was just trying to get me in and out. I felt that my issues that I brought up to him were just dismissed. Dr. Vong was the complete opposite. She listened to my concerns and gave me a solution. Great staff, doctor, and eyewear selection. Made a last minute call on Friday for an exam and got booked 45 minutes later same day for both of us. Convenient location and lots of free parking. The staff were extremely helpful, patient, and knowledgeable, from scheduling to explaining insurance benefits and the glasses/sunglasses they carry. The exam was comprehensive and they had a lot of brand new eye exam equipment I had never used before, at least my last optometrist in West LA didn't have this kind of new equipment. It was impressive technology they used to test and take images of the eyes. The doctor also took the time to explain the exam results and answer questions. The selection of glasses and sunglasses they had to choose from were great, too. Lots of quality pieces that were affordable as well as high end choices. I'm really happy I came here. read more

I went in for an eye exam yeaterday morning. Dr. Vong was great and she takes the time to educate patients about how to care for their eyes and reviewed the images from the Digital Retina Imaging machine. I personally liked getting the imaging because I did not have to have my eyes dilated for it. Vanessa at the front desk was also very kind and helpful in going over my insurance benefits and frame allowances. I ended up buying a pair of sunglasses and regular prescription glasses. The lenses are ballistic and certified (Wiley X brand) . I definitely recommend going to Global Vision. read more

Love the doctor and quality of care. Front office staff however... how about you document your charts? I got a call to confirm my appointment, then I got a call about my insurance coverage... even though I had already discussed this with the female employee when I booked my appointment. Same female employee after my visit scolded me for not being able to read my writing when I dated my signature. Also, why be so petty? This same female front office person had me confirm all my information (on the iPad) even though I had just been there 1 week before. (Which I told her) she said it was necessary. Then later she wasted 5 minutes of my life by going over a form stating "I know you are a contact wearer for decades however" then She proceeded to explain dos and don'ts of contact wearing. As a lawyer, seeing the doctor at 4:30pm after a long day of work I felt like she was going through the motions for absolutely no reason. How about be nice, save paper and expedite what should be a more pleasant experience? Doctor=great. Front office staff = makes me want to go elsewhere read more
