Shrimp Cocoon and Cheese Pad Thai above. Thai iced tea on the side

Yay! A new Thai restaurant has arrived. Service- It was good! I think it was the owner who took my order but she was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was incredible. Incredible flavor and just overall amazing. I will say the prices are definitely overpriced but idk if it's because of inflation or who their vendor is. The mangos are incredible btw. Perfectly ripped and sweet. The interior is gorgeous. I like the deep green tones along with the marble tables.

Having seen this new spot on social media, I decided to check it out for myself and I'm glad that I did! Firstly, it's so cute inside. Light and open and classy without pretention. The service is prompt and friendly and very helpful. The menu is large and varied, so there really is something for everyone--from the Thai novice to the afficionado. My party ordered the following: the fried rolls as an appetizer, the fresh (garlicky) sautéed green beans as a side, and the Rad Nah with pork and Garlic Combo Tray with Beef for our mains. Everything was cooked to perfection and so flavorful! My favorite was definitely the fried rolls. The way they crackle-crunched was divine. I wanted to give five stars but there is one flaw with the experience: it's hot as hell inside and the air is still. If I hadn't brought my own little fan, I would've insisted on getting my meal to go. They desperately need some fans or better yet, some AC. It's only going to get warmer as we descend into summer and I like be comfortable while I eat.

Best Thai food I've ever had! So fresh and tasty. Service was great and the atmosphere was very chill with jazzy music playing. I look forward to future visits.

The environment is with just enough music the servers are super polite and the restaurant feels so clean, and the grand of it all is the food!!! By far the best thai food the spice is perfect and it all is deliciously aromatic. A must try!!

What a new hidden gem for our town. Friendly greeting with a beautiful atmosphere. Decor and setting were a pleasant surprise. So many items to choose from on our first visit that I had to ask our server for a few suggestions. Started with shrimp cocoon which was cooked perfectly. The Tom Kha with a side of jasmine rice was delicious and my son who is a chef had devoured his bbq chicken, sticky rice with the green papaya salad. OMG! On the salad I was jealous. The tea had a sweetness to it but no sugar added. Topped all of this off with a fresh sliced mango with sticky rice. What a finish! Will return to share our find with friends and family. Next visit will choose the pork belly.

I write this knowing you only have a couple weeks left to enjoy…read more The ramen here is incredible. You would be hard pressed to find better tasting food prepared by a more passionate person. Everything was fresh, everything was delicious, everything exceeded our expectations. This felt like a bay area experience right up the street. No traffic, no problematic parking just good people and good food.

Located in McHenry village, next to the postal annex, I've seen Konfucious Eats whenever I drive…read moreon Briggsmore. I never was interested in going there for years since it's been there but decided to try it tonight. Firstly, the ramen place holds maybe 40 at most and we had to wait a while before we were seated. They asked if we had a reservation but didn't think that it would be needed since it's not like a fancy restaurant and I don't know many ramen places that takes reservations. Since we didn't , we got seated on the bar which is fine. For it being in Modesto, they try to get the anime vibe with toys and anime art around. I'm no ramen expert but I've tried over a dozen ramen places in Tokyo, Vancouver, Japan town in LA, San Francisco, Oahu, Seattle just to name a few cities. So we got first the spicy garlic edamame. Not bad at all, had a kick to it and was edible. From a scale of 1 to 5. I'd give it a 5. For the main entree, I wanted the garlic tonkatsu but the waitress said they ran out.... Ok, for a Saturday night at 6 pm, running out of a ramen and they've been in business for several years now?!? never had that happen before in any ramen shop I've been to. So me and my wife both got the Ichiraku ramen which was a miso broth with pork belly. Price $23. I added 2 more pork belly at $5 more. Oh, the waitress mentioned no bamboo shoots and no fish cake........ ok, never had that happen before in a ramen shop. So while eating edamame, I kept track of how long it took we got our ramen.... It took 30 minutes before we got our ramen... definitely atypical to wait that long wait but I guess it's because they offer a lot of items besides ramen. Presentation was fine, the pork belly was seared on one side with a blow torch since I can taste that searing. . It just had green onions, 2 seaweeds and 2 soft boiled eggs which I was impressed the yolk wasn't overcooked. The noodles I chose was thin and was good with a soft texture. The miso broth was average Over all, it was an okay ramen. Me and my wife both didn't finish our bowls... definitely unusual since we love ramen but somehow, it didn't fulfill our satiety to finish and be content. I can tell you that of all the ramen places I've been to. This is average and doesn't compare to Ramen 101 in Modesto that I've ordered many times before my first time here. Sadly, I can only give it 3 stars because the ramen was average and not in the same league as other ramens I've had in other places and cities. And if me and my wife couldn't finish our ramen, that's a tell tale sign it was just okay. Plus, the place is called Konfucius Eats, doesn't have a Japanese name for a restaurant since "Confucius " is a Chinese Philosopher lol. In fact, I didn't see any Japanese or Asian cooks... just saying that's atypical to the other ramen establishments I've been to. For Modesto, it's aight. I just can't see myself going back here for a long time. Lastly, they are open Tuesday to Saturday only .

I had heard about Viet Noodles Xpress and decided to give it a try. The pho hit the spot. The quality of the beef is not as great as what I get in San Jose but it was still good, the broth had great flavor and the noodles were cooked perfectly. It was super comforting and much needed after being in the mountains for a few days. My wife ordered the bun bo hue and it tasted great. Lots of protein options and really good depth of flavor in the broth. I enjoyed it almost as much as the Pho. The staff was awesome. It looks like a family owned place and everyone worked together smoothly and was really welcoming. They were friendly, gave suggestions, and were quick with everything we needed. This will definitely be a spot we check out again if we are ever in the Modesto area.
