One of my coworkers brought doughnuts from here before and I thought they were fantastic... So I decided to check 'em out for myself and bring some home for my lady and I. As soon as I walked in, the scent in the air made me salivate a little. The place itself isn't big at all but they have LOTS to offer as far as tasty pastries, cookies, cakes, and doughnuts. They even have king cakes and king doughnuts now for your Mardi Gras celebrations. The staff are all super friendly and helpful too. Though I recommend getting there early because they're usually not open very late, typically until around 2-3pm at the latest. I ended up getting a king doughnut for my lady and a custard filled doughnut for myself, but I have to admit, everything looked SO good. The prices are great too so that makes it hard to pass up. Donut places are everywhere but Golden Hands is wonderful. You'll still see the old sign Moe's but don't miss this place Golden Hands. They have donuts the size of your face like my favorite, the Cinnamon bun. All of their donuts are light, soft, fluffy and so fresh. I'll purchase Dunkin Donuts coffee right next door and pull out and make a right and stop here for the donuts. It's run by delightful people and the baker, Cesar I'm told is such a wonderful person. These employees all go way back with him. Their baked bread is also so reasonable. I bought a loaf of farmer's bread for $2.75. With all this food inflation, they have reasonable prices too! read more

Definitely beats most donut places. They load the filling into the donuts. If you get a filled one it will be enough to satisfy you. I ate way too many but they were all awesome! Their signature little ones are the perfect texture and sweetness. I can't remember what they called them. It's the smaller ones in the picture. I did not go inside these were brought to work for me. I was told there was almost always a line cause of how good this place is. read more

We have other bakeries nearer to us but make an almost weekly 20 minute drive to Golden Hands. Favorites for our household include their maple creme filled donuts, the salted rye bread, and pumpkin pie so good that we ate the one we originally bought for Thanksgiving days early, so we had to go buy another to have for the day of! Golden Hands Bakery in Cincinnati's Fairfax is located very near Hwy 50 as well as near Madisonville and Mariemont. The parking lot boasts a sign bearing Moe's name, but the Golden Hands Bakery sign is prominent and visible on the building. There is a parking lot to the side of the building. The staff was wonderful in helping me select must-taste pastries for my first visit this morning from the 3 cases of options & especially in finding the item I had been wanting to try since seeing Kim S.'s Yelp review. After several staff suggestions, I had to stop adding to my selection. I'll just have to come back again, I joked. My 5 pastries rang up to a very economical $8.75! Great deal! The shop was busy- indicating a stream of satisfied customers. There were refrigerated drink options, hot beverage options, loaves of baked breads- equaling so many choices! Note: no dairy-free or gluten-free options. I was impressed that staff were wearing hair net bonnets for sanitation. The shop is not flashy or modern and has no frills, but gives the distinctive air of a true homemade experience. To me that's more impressive. I'm very pleased with flavor and substance and dough consistency and crispy/fluffy as it should be for each item. read more

If you're craving a donut or danish in the area - this is definitely a great place to come! I tried this place out this morning and the people working there were super sweet and it is clearly a popular spot since there was a constant revolving door of people picking up their Sunday treat. We ended up getting a pretzel, a cheese danish, a cronut, and a regular donut and everything we have tried was delicious! I would love to see them have little labels in the display - that would make it so much easier to know their selection since they have such a wide array of options. The cronut was absolutely amazing! It's huge and has the perfect crunch with a soft inside. Highly recommend going here simply for this. I got the Boston cream donut and thought it had way too much cream inside but that may be personal preference. Both the Boston cream and the glazed donut had a weird taste to them like the yeast donut flavor had something in it that tasted sort of off. It kind of ruined them for me. We've been so excited to come here and the donuts were pretty great but the service was so bad that we will likely not return. The employee with the shaved head was waiting on us and they were incredibly rude and condescending during our entire encounter. We told them we would probably get at least 8 donuts and they filled a box for 6 and then chatised us because they had to get an additional box to add more donuts and then were super rude when we didn't know the different box sizes (because we had never been in before). They were snipping at us that they didn't know which donuts we were asking for and just seemed annoyed with the whole interaction. They had an attitude with another customer and even the cashier when we were paying. I get that people can have a bad day, but this interaction was so off putting from start to finish that with other great donut places around town it's not worth it to come back. read more
