I have consistently patronized Goin' Postal for at least four years. I never had an issue with Jim, Frank, nor my packages being delivered in a timely manner. Recently, I went to mail a package and met the new owner, Von Richcreek. I paid additional money to have my package delivered by a certain date. Later, I received an email that the package would be delivered two days after the date I paid for. I followed up with Von regarding my package. Unfortunately, during my visit, no fine print was discussed nor documentation given stating my package would make it days later. Once I requested a refund for my package which never left Nashville, Von wanted to discuss the unspoken stipulation. He claimed he would contact a representative and get back to me. He never called. I called him back a few times regarding the matter and no success. He failed to return my calls. Von lacks customer service skills and respect as it pertains to African American women. He is narcissistic and believes it is okay to converse with customers in a condescending manner. As a result, I sought legal action. Then, Von's stance became if you want to spend money (more than your package) on an attorney, go ahead. I hope since my encounter, customers are no longer dealing with his pompous attitude (so much so that he decided not to respond to legal counsel). I won't step foot in there. However, I'm happy to know that my fortitude regarding the matter helped Von to improve his business practices. read more

I can't say enough good things about Goin' Postal Brentwood. They are fast, thorough and convenient, but it's the customer service that brings me back time and time again. I consistently get the sense that Jim, Frank and Toni (I've been assisted by each of them at least once) genuinely care about how much money it will cost to ship something and whether or not it will arrive on time and in-tact. I've seen them give the same amount of time, attention and care to customers just days before Christmas as they do on a day like today when I was the only one in the store. I think that Jim might honestly be one of the Top 10 Greatest Humans of all time. My interactions with him inspire me to do better and be better in my own interactions with strangers. What a delight to have found this business so close to my home and office. It's truly a treat to do business here. read more

I brought a FedEx package here on Wednesday January 6th, 2021 at 4:10 PM, and directly put it on the front desk as instructed by the owner of this shop. He said that it will be picked up by FedEx at around 4:30 PM on the same day. However, it suddenly went "missing". After seeing no movement or origin scan for a couple days, I decided to give them a call. When I called asking the whereabouts of the package, I was given the run around "we don't scan FedEx packages, they pick up and scan themselves, so we have no way of tracking them." However, FedEx never received possession of the package from Goin' Postal. Someone here is stealing packages and I will NOT be using their services again unless I know I can get a receipt for my packages (They refused to give receipts for FedEx package, even though they claim themselves as authorized FedEx shipper)- lesson learned. I am now out my items AND my money. AWFUL SERVICE!! read more

Recently, I went in to drop off some packages and I had a question about an international package and the custom label I brought in. I asked my question, and without responding to me, or even making eye contact with me, the older gentleman I asked the question of that was standing behind the counter just peeled the label and stuck it on my package. I asked him another question and he didn't respond, so I asked it again and he mumbled his reply. I then said my goodbyes to both of the older gentlemen that were working at the counter and neither acknowledged my cheerful, "Thank you for your help! I appreciate it!" This is just one of several examples, but since it's the most recent it came to mind first. I've given these guys the benefit of the doubt several times. At first I just thought they were having a bad day, now I think all of their days are bad. This place is within walking distance to my home and I would ordinarily love to take advantage of having a small business so close to home to support, but the people who run this business are consistently rude and I refuse to support businesses that treat their customers as an inconvenience. I will no longer be giving my patronage to them. read more

I always ship my heavy packages here. They compare rates from several companies and always save me money from the USPS Click-N-Ship prices. Jim and Frank at the desk are very helpful! Jason, the newer owner, is very nice and is always looking for new ways to improve the business. He had just set up a new large format printer at my last visit for blueprints and other large documents. The staff took the zip code, the weight of the box and the contents in consideration and then got prices from several carriers to find the best method to ship.. Also the box was tearing a bit and they taped it up for me to make sure it arrived safe and sound... Also they are so friendly and courteous in the store.. keep up the good work read more

Jim is rude and extremely inconsiderate. I needed an extra witness for notary purposes. First, he told me he couldn't do it (one of his employees was standing right next to him.) i came back in the next day practically begging for his help. He started arguing with me, "I was the only one here last night." I had to tell him twice that I didn't want to argue with him because I just needed his help. I thanked him and he said nothing. Nor did he complete the witness section of the document...and he had an employee right next to him. Again. I was, of course, charged for the incomplete service. I will never go to this location again, and I would advise the same to anyone. The man has no business working with the public. read more

I am sorry to give Goin' Postal a bad review but here we go. I sent a package (international) in February of this year. The package has not been received, nor has it been found. They keyed in the wrong COUNTRY!. I went in to claim where it was, the owner told me to check with the post office. They can't trace anything there. I went to the post office and they told me they trace package from the customs declaration form that I filled out at GP. I went back to them and then they started being helpful. Jim proceeded to give me a copy of the form they used to track the package. Granted he did offer to pay for the postage they charged me along with reimbursing me for the contents of the package. I took the postage considering the package never got there. As of today's date, I have filed a formal investigation with the post office. As of today, 4/22, the package is still missing. I went today to mail a package to a domestic address (not trusting them to international anymore), I went in and they were going to charge me almost $5.00 for a small package. I asked why it was so expensive and the owner again said, well, you may get a cheaper price at the post office. I asked how much is the cost there..."I don't know." Really, you have to know in order to up-charge your services by nearly half!!! I went to the post office and yes, it was only $2.42 cents. I love giving my business to local merchants but this guy is not getting my business anymore. read more
