Staff were around, but I never interacted with any of them. It's crazy to me that back-to-school promotions have already started. Maybe there are year-round semesters here? My grad school started in mid-August for the fall semester, so maybe it's not wacky. The clearance section is small. It's in the left back corner of the store. There were some nice tumblers, but I have enough of them! The washrooms are at the back of the store. The women's was clean and nicely stocked. I like looking at rolling computer bags. There were a couple that were on sale, but they are all black and boring. I enjoyed looking at the brush and calligraphy pens, too. It was nice to browse around. I stopped by in search of a drafting chair due to a higher than average desk I have at home. There were not many employees on the floor, so I was not able to get assistance in my search until I went to the register and spoke to the cashier. The cashier was super friendly and helpful. He offered to look up locations that may have them around the area, as drafting chairs were only carried at specialty locations or online. I wasn't that pressed, so I just asked for the location details. In addition to that information, he also offered other solutions for taller desks such as mountable keyboard drawers and trays. Sadly they did not carry those either, but it did give me good idea for a cheaper alternative. Overall, the location is dated and in need of an update, but the shelves are stocked and the service was top notch!

I'm giving them 2 stars for the first person I had contact with on the phone. She had excellent…read morecustomer service skills and even answered questions I didn't ask yet. The customer service went downhill from there. Thursday - I placed my order. Monday (4 days after ordering) - I received an e-mail late in the afternoon (their time) saying the product I had ordered was discontinued. I wasn't told this over the phone on Thursday when I spoke with the customer service person even though I had given her the product number. I wasn't given another similar product number to look up, I apparently had to do it myself. I tried calling the person who sent me an e-mail twice on Monday and got no response. I went online and started a chat and then was told my account manager (or whatever they're called) would call me soon. She called and I gave her another product number. She said she'd have to check to see if those were available. I didn't hear back from her until the next day (Tuesday). Tuesday (5 days after ordering) - She gave me a new invoice for the new product with a $160 jump in the shipping cost. She again didn't answer the phone when I called to find out why the extreme difference in price for shipping. I sent her an e-mail asking about the shipping. Wednesday (6 days after ordering) - Received an e-mail saying, "Unfortunately, our online system figures shipping to the 48 states. It does not include shipping to Hawaii and Alaska." I sent her an e-mail back and cancelled my order and told her that I entered my zip code when I ordered and it gave me a shipping price from that. Sounds like a bait and switch to me. "Oh, the product you ordered has been discontinued even though it's still on our website as available. But you can find another product that's a little cheaper but we're going to charge you more for shipping than what the product costs." I will never try to order anything from them again.
