I wanted to hit an OfficeMax and realized that it's all Office Depot in Nashville. I ended up going to this one in Franklin. It was a clean store. Aisles were wide. Staff were around, but I never interacted with any of them. It's crazy to me that back-to-school promotions have already started. Maybe there are year-round semesters here? My grad school started in mid-August for the fall semester, so maybe it's not wacky. The clearance section is small. It's in the left back corner of the store. There were some nice tumblers, but I have enough of them! The washrooms are at the back of the store. The women's was clean and nicely stocked. I like looking at rolling computer bags. There were a couple that were on sale, but they are all black and boring. I enjoyed looking at the brush and calligraphy pens, too. It was nice to browse around. This Office Depot is located on Cool Springs Boulevard and sits in the large shopping plaza alongside Bed, Bath & Beyond, TJ Maxx, Gamestop and several other eateries and retail shops. I stopped by in search of a drafting chair due to a higher than average desk I have at home. There were not many employees on the floor, so I was not able to get assistance in my search until I went to the register and spoke to the cashier. The cashier was super friendly and helpful. He offered to look up locations that may have them around the area, as drafting chairs were only carried at specialty locations or online. I wasn't that pressed, so I just asked for the location details. In addition to that information, he also offered other solutions for taller desks such as mountable keyboard drawers and trays. Sadly they did not carry those either, but it did give me good idea for a cheaper alternative. Overall, the location is dated and in need of an update, but the shelves are stocked and the service was top notch! read more

I honestly can't believe how lazy employees have gotten today I came in and printed two color copies. They were 30 minutes left till closing and they were talking about how they were ready to get out of the store, the manager and one of the associates as they let the cash register hold them up, leaning against it, I ask her I get these bound real quickly with fear in both of their faces. No way could we get those done today you can pick them up tomorrow!! I said no thank you I need them in the morning. It really would've taken them five minutes and they could've earned an extra 20 bucks. I can't believe how unmotivated employees are today. It's ridiculous. read more

Office Depot/Iron Mountain shredding services is in need of a 0.5 star rating at best! They charged me for shredding bins, never contacted me and when I contacted them they could not find my order. After several attempts of reaching out to them for delivery, I asked for a refund at which point Jen wanted to charge me again for more bins. even though I had yet to receive any bins from them! Also, after first saying they couldn't find my order, it would always be found in the "delivered" section! read more

Check store hours just in case. Made a late evening run about 7:30 to change out something purchased a few days ago. The new store hours aren't updated on Yelp so just letting you know they seem to be closing at 7pm. You may want to call before driving there if it's in the evening. i placed a mobile order for curbside and waited half an hour for it. the employee with tattoos would take a quick glance outside didn't see my car and would go right back inside. we were parked like three parking spaces from the entrance of the building and there was a car next to us. the employee just stood right at the entrance and didn't bother to look a little deeper for our car. literally she just stood there if you're not parked right in front of her face she won't give you your order. i had to go inside for it and what made it worse was that there were plenty employees not doing anything that could've taken my order read more

WOW! I stopped in on a whim to see if their printing department could help with some stuff we needed for our MedSpa and marketing supplies. Zack helped me and explained the pricing and how long it would take. The total was $10 when we were going through a third party that would charge us triple the price, shipping and take weeks to deliver. I'm surprised this store has a 3 star rating which is more than they deserve. I went in to pick up an online order and asked a cashier about the process because I have not ordered online here before. She was quite rude when I asked her where to pick up my items. So I asked to speak with a manager and spoke with Zach. He was just as bad as the cashier. There is never anyone to help you in the printing area. If you need something scanned take it someplace else. It was practically deserted in the building with two employees who we're looking too busy to help. I desperately needed something scanned and they were annoyed that I was there. Won't be back. There's plenty of parking. Staff are friendly and ready to help (at the front). They were in stock with everything that I needed and they had a few options for many of the items to choose by price point. I also needed some cardboard box for something I'm working on and the only question they asked me was "how much do you need?" I walked out very happy. I have to say though, Daniel B. is right though, the checkout line took a little bit extra time and there was no one walking around the store to answer any questions. If you walk in with no questions (know what you need) and aren't in a crunch for time, this is a good place to come to. read more

This store is incredibly antiquated. Is it this state? The company in general or just this location, idk. Inside it looks like 1987. The one copy machine that they have looks to be a decade old and my $40 HP machine at home made a better copy. I don't know how they keep the doors open here. read more

I was there today buying back to school supplies for my classroom. My students usually don't come to school with any supplies as I work for a title 1 school. I asked the manager of the limits applied to teachers. He was very cold and rude about his response to me. A simple sorry, no would have sufficed. But he decided to talk to me as if I were a child and say that if I wanted to I could come back everyday to buy folders so as to not exceed the daily limit. If I am going to spend my own money on my students, I will definitely do it somewhere else next time. read more

I've been in here a few times. It's not as big as before (they moved one door down) and that's a good thing. It's easier to navigate. There has never been enough staff to cover the registers and questions from customers. The checkout process is lengthy. Today I had a guy tell me he was too busy with all the requests coming in his earpiece. He eventually circled around and helped me. Haha. What a riot of a place! BEWARE, HURRIED CHRISTMAS SHOPPERS! YOU ARE LIKELY TO GET REALLY JACKED! On November 26, 2016, I was in the 545 Cool Springs Blvd store where I purchased a large shredder, a laptop computer, printer, a 3 yr square trade warranty on the computer, 2 yr McAffee antivirus and MS Office 365 subscription, as well as several other accessories. Since most of this was a gift, i left it in the original bags on my office closet floor till I was ready to wrap it. Bags had been tied shut. When I opened them to prepare for wrapping, the MS Office 365 was missing, as well as the Square Trade info and 2 yr warranty. I immediately called the store, explained what happened and was referred to the manager. The manager was not particularly interested, he essentially blew me off, saying there was little he could do. He wanted me to return everything to the store, and we'd see from there. Phooey! I have those items on my receipt. I paid for them, a total exceeding $200.00 NOT INCLUDING THE OTHER PURCHASES! It's at least partly my fault that I didn't check the bags in the store, but I am in a wheelchair, and it's difficult! I feel it's the principle of the thing, 2 software programs that were fully paid for will never be activated or registered. Or used! The store gained $200+ in unearned profit. But it cost them thousands in sales and good will. I have a loyalty card, which i have shredded. I buy on average $5000 yearly in Office Depot. No more. And I talk. I will be sure to tell ANYONE and EVERYONE what happened. For all I know the salesman needed or wanted these items for himself. Or he was careless and uncaring in his treatment of a customer.
