Instead, they said they fixed, they did not, and then when I took it back they tried to convince me that the screen "burned out", which it absolutely did not. They may be able to help people with printer configuration, phone fixes and that sort of stuff, but when it comes to an actual repair on a laptop, forget it. I have been a software design engineer for 40 years, they don't have a clue outside of simple fixes. I highly recommend seeking other resource for any real repair work. I will still charge almost $90 and they didn't accomplish anything. I will end up having to spend time and repair it myself. Was just trying to save my own hassle, but if you want something done right, I guess you gotta do it yourself. I suggest staying away from the corporate, high volume repair stores, the hire mostly flunkies who don't really have a clue. And they weren't really all that nice to me either. Not impressed. He tried BSing for a minute, but come to find out HE WAS APPARENTLY GOING TO PUT ANOTHER CHEAP LCD SCREEN IN MY PHONE in my phone. I told him my phone had an AMOLED display, you told me you were putting the same screen in and that was not the case, I would have not let you do the work if you were truthful. The screen is one of the main components you are paying for with a higher end phone. He then tells me AMOLED is going to be expensive. I ask how expensive and he says $100 more, which would bring me to $395 total with tax. I say ok that's reasonable. He orders it and I go back. It's a USED SCREEN, and at this point I just want a screen in my phone and it was in ok condition. He put the screen in, I pick it up. THE E6000 glue he used to put it together is A MESS OOZING OUT EVERYWHERE and THE BACK OF MY PHONE IS COMING OFF. I'm sure if I went back he would agree to "Fix" it, but no thanks. It's without a doubt no longer waterproof. Now I am going to have to pay to go somewhere else and hope and pray can remove all this excess glue and probably reseal the back glass.

I've always been treated with professionalism and friendliness here. Unlike a car repair shop where you might be chastised for knowing nothing about the automotive world, there is no judgment at Batteries Plus for being battery ignorant. With a little witty conversation and expert knowledge, they'll find just about any battery known to the human race, and even install it as well! And believe me, I've brought in some challenging items. Speaking of automotive, they even offer free installation of car batteries bought there, something that's saved me on several occasions! I just brought in a scale today, with the employee immediately identifying the type of battery at a quick glance on my fifth step into the store, even before opening the compartment. Grabbing the product from the shelf and emerging from the back room with a set of every conceivable speciality screwdriver on the planet, he adeptly unwound the tiny screw, switched the batteries with a flick of the wrist, and finished the transaction. Efficiency, expertise, and encouragement defines every employee here, and I'll remain a loyal customer for life.

We have had three instances where a chain fix it shop could not repair our phones. Some of that was…read moredue to a lack of parts, others were due to long delays. These guys came through every time. Service was completed within hours of walk-in. There were three cases involved. One was a cell phone that partially drowned in water that they took care of right away. Another was a cracked display. Finally, one phone lost its power up button. Cost of repair was reasonable. It was good value given the speed and quality of service. Whenever anyone asks for a recommendation for repair, we send them here. Bye-bye corporate shop with restrictive contracts for limited companies.
