When she got her phone back, it charged (very slowly though), but now didn't function at all; it turns on and off again at random, and restarts every two minutes after a frozen screen and turns black to shut off. We came back together to speak with the worker, and he argued with her for 15-20 minutes saying he warned her (he did not) that it had a bigger problem, and that he wasn't the one who damaged it (he was the only one to see and open the phone when she brought it in), and refused to give a refund.

I thought it was low, but after the guy assured me he was putting the same screen in my phone I figured it was just a less expensive aftermarket screen. I go to pick it up and immediately I notice THE SCREEN HE PUT IN MY PHONE WAS THE CHEAPEST LCD SCREEN PROBABLY AVAILABLE, not an AMOLED screen which is what I had. The whites have a pink hue, the refresh rate was about 30 and now I have giant bezels on my phone. I point it out to the guy and he immediately says he is going to order the correct screen and I can come back in a few days. So I go back and before I give him the phone I ask again, last time you told me you were putting the same screen in and that was not true, is this the correct screen. He tried BSing for a minute, but come to find out HE WAS APPARENTLY GOING TO PUT ANOTHER CHEAP LCD SCREEN IN MY PHONE in my phone. I told him my phone had an AMOLED display, you told me you were putting the same screen in and that was not the case, I would have not let you do the work if you were truthful. The screen is one of the main components you are paying for with a higher end phone. He then tells me AMOLED is going to be expensive. I ask how expensive and he says $100 more, which would bring me to $395 total with tax. I say ok that's reasonable. He orders it and I go back. It's a USED SCREEN, and at this point I just want a screen in my phone and it was in ok condition. He put the screen in, I pick it up. THE E6000 glue he used to put it together is A MESS OOZING OUT EVERYWHERE and THE BACK OF MY PHONE IS COMING OFF. I'm sure if I went back he would agree to "Fix" it, but no thanks. It's without a doubt no longer waterproof. Now I am going to have to pay to go somewhere else and hope and pray can remove all this excess glue and probably reseal the back glass.

I've been patronizing this Batteries Plus location for about 15 years and just made a trip through…read morethe epic 2026 ice storm today. That's when I realized I'd never reviewed them before. And while 288 Google reviews average a respectable 4.6, the few dozen Yelp reviews with a sub-four average are unfair and fail to do this store justice. I've always been treated with professionalism and friendliness here. Unlike a car repair shop where you might be chastised for knowing nothing about the automotive world, there is no judgment at Batteries Plus for being battery ignorant. With a little witty conversation and expert knowledge, they'll find just about any battery known to the human race, and even install it as well! And believe me, I've brought in some challenging items. Speaking of automotive, they even offer free installation of car batteries bought there, something that's saved me on several occasions! I just brought in a scale today, with the employee immediately identifying the type of battery at a quick glance on my fifth step into the store, even before opening the compartment. Grabbing the product from the shelf and emerging from the back room with a set of every conceivable speciality screwdriver on the planet, he adeptly unwound the tiny screw, switched the batteries with a flick of the wrist, and finished the transaction. Efficiency, expertise, and encouragement defines every employee here, and I'll remain a loyal customer for life.

After several had lined up at the Amazon return counter a staff came over and did my return but let me know that they didn't have we enough staff to do this and he would probably just shut down the Amazon Return station soon. Turnaround time estimated about and 1 1/2 -2 hours. Sounded fine so I told her I'd be in shortly. When I got there she looked at my phone and asked if my data was backed up. Unsure I checked to see the last backup. Suddenly, she says "Oh your phone is hot!" I touched the phone. It was fine. I replied. No, it's fine." It wasn't even warm. Their phone rings and she answers it, still with the phone to her ear but not talking to whoever called she comes back to the front and says it'll now be $100 bucks! Wait. What happened to the $69.95???? Knowing I could have my phone fixed for much cheaper-I told her that was ok and I left. I don't know why the flip but it seemed rather shady. He was talking all kinds of craziness about mine and my husband's emails being wrong, names spelled wrong, account being in different names, telling me I had to change info and wait for approx 4 months for things to process, etc etc. He did add if he could get things to work that we would save five dollars per phone, which would be $20 a month. After an hour of completely confusing me and getting me all rattled, he said he wanted to go consult with his manager. He returned and told me, when I had time to call Customer Service. He handed me a piece of paper where he had written down the customer service number. I was frustrated that the manager didn't even offer to come talk to me. I told the employee I was calling customer service in the store and resolving this, before I left. When I called Customer Service, I explained that I was in the AT&T store and the employee basically couldn't do anything on his end to help me after an hour and requested i call. The customer service guy said he couldn't figure out why the employee in the store was having such difficulty because he was able to pull my account up with no problem. He apologized for my inconvenience, and solved my issue in a matter of minutes. I learned a lesson... I will always attempt to call customer service, before I ever enter an AT&T store. Also, the Customer Service guy told me I would be saving $10 on each phone, total of $40 each month. So, that was more invalid information I was given in the store. The best thing about my whole experience at the AT&T store was the employee walked me over to the door and opened it for me to leave. I did inform him my issue was resolved quickly, and customer service questioned why it was so difficult for them to handle it in the store.
