Instead, they said they fixed, they did not, and then when I took it back they tried to convince me that the screen "burned out", which it absolutely did not. They may be able to help people with printer configuration, phone fixes and that sort of stuff, but when it comes to an actual repair on a laptop, forget it. I have been a software design engineer for 40 years, they don't have a clue outside of simple fixes. I highly recommend seeking other resource for any real repair work. I will still charge almost $90 and they didn't accomplish anything. I will end up having to spend time and repair it myself. Was just trying to save my own hassle, but if you want something done right, I guess you gotta do it yourself. I suggest staying away from the corporate, high volume repair stores, the hire mostly flunkies who don't really have a clue. And they weren't really all that nice to me either. Not impressed. I won't be back, that's for certain.

I went to have a broken laptop screen repaired. It took a while only because I had to decide out of…read morethe options given whether I would replace the screen or also the case as it was broken. I decided on the screen and it took about a week for it to be received and replaced. I was told that the computer would be ready at a day and time. I showed up and was relatively calm when it wasn't. The woman in the shop called the tech guy and he offered to have the laptop delivered because I don't live in the area. The cost to repair was lower than the estimate so I am less peeved about the delay, and we did receive it the same evening. And the tech managed to manipulate the cover so it fit together. All in all, I'd try Lopez Computer again, but now I know to be less definitive with the timing of the repair.
