This UPS sits in the shopping plaza along with Hugh Baby's and Applebee's, and for the most part is your standard UPS Store. Came to drop off a few Amazon returns. The Staff was helpful, getting me in and out with ease. One of my returns required a printed label, which would normally cost a few dollars, however the Associate kindly waived the fee and printed the label with no issue. Process was solid, service was friendly and overall good visit to this UPS location. read more

While visiting Nashville from California, we stopped by the UPS Store to return an Amazon package I didn't want. Amazon clearly stated to box and label, which I had my own box with a label. The representative at the front counter told me it had to be a UPS box. I didn't agree but didn't want to argue, so I just paid after a second reason why I had to have a UPS box and left. I've made Amazon returns at many different states and this is the first time I had to have a specific UPS box only to return an Amazon item. I feel like I've been taken advantage of. However, if indeed all the Nashville UPS stores have changed their policy toward Amazon returns and they are consistently explaining the same reason to all their customers then I'd gladly change my review. If not, then please be made aware that this particular UPS store will have you purchase their box even if you already have one, to return your Amazon package. If you don't agree with this you should seek out another UPS store. I could've but decided to pay for the box because I didn't want it taking space while on travel. Although the representative was very professional about explaining their new policy on Amazon packages and the requirement to use UPS boxes, we agreed to disagree, paid what I owed, happy it was out of my travel luggage and went about my travels. The facility was clean and very organized, they assisted the customers throughout my visit with courtesy snd professionalism, and they were quick which tells me they work hard to keep business going. read more

I recently had something shipped from this store to my studio in NYC. Without being there, I was able to communicate with the team at the store, get reasonable and fair prices for packing and shipping some complicated items, and they were great. They communicated thoroughly and packed everything carefully. When the shipment was damaged in transit, the team at this store immediately initiated the insurance claim and put everything in motion to help me. I am a Nashville resident, but this was my first time at this location and will definitely be my last. I just got off my shift at the hospital and times are stressful enough right now with Covid 19 that I do not need to be treated in such a rude and hateful manner. I walked into an empty store apart from the two employees with an amazon return. I placed the relatively large box on the floor and was berated by the girl behind the counter for not place it on the scale. She then proceeded to get an outrageous attitude when I requested a receipt. This kind of childish behavior continued through the entire interaction. Through the entire interaction I never responded in anyway other than a quiet bewilderment. I was taken back by why someone would treat a customer like this who was just dropping off a package. read more

The people here are totally willing to help you with all of the paperwork, even completing some of the forms for me in the past. I have always been in and out of here very quickly. This is my favorite UPS store. I have had an issue with other stores charging $2 to $3.00 to print a return label. At one time this store never charged for that but now they do....$1.00. Still, they have always been helpful with showing me how to print a label to taping up my boxes. We're both disabled. One is blind and one is in a wheelchair. We were so confused about sending a return back to Amazon. Douglas was our CSA. He was kind, Professional, Personable and went out of his way to help us. He had us both sit in our van in the parking lot and he helped me on my cell phone to report the return correctly. I can't say I've ever been in a business and encountered employees quite as outwardly hostile as The UPS Store on Thompson Lane in Nashville, TN. My last visit (3/9/2021) was the most outrageous visit yet. A new employee was struggling terribly with processing the three small padded envelopes I was trying to send out. Everyone has a difficult first several days on the job so I wasn't upset at all with her - until she asked for help from the other employee manning the front desk. This employee seemed a little more seasoned - but maybe only by a couple of months. She had an absolutely awful grasp at what "customer service" means, interpreting it as an opportunity to talk to me very slowly and deliberately but firmly - kind of like how someone would talk to a disobedient child. I was being extraordinarily patient with the employee I was working with and when I finally reached a level of exasperation that I had to ask if everything was "OK" and that all I needed to do was mail these three pre-addressed envelopes this second employee got involved like she was ready to do battle. I left feeling really confused by how things went so wrong in there. Unable to resist, as I walked out the door to go to the post office she loudly issued a "have a blessed day" that was loaded with insincerity and sarcasm you - a parting shot, just for good measure, to get in that last little dig on me. The whole interaction was really out of control and it was not the first time I've had trouble with this particular UPS Store. One employee acts so sullen and bored and "so done" with Life in general that you have to worry if your package will arrive in one piece because she's asleep at the wheel every time you go in there. This place is rife with personnel and customer service issues and if you actually care about what you are sending out and it getting there without incident I would suggest the UPS Store at the Edmonson Pike and Old Hickory Boulevard intersection. read more

I have used the services at this store a number of times now for package return, overnight delivery, copying, enlarging and laminating services. The customer service provided here is excellent. Every single time I have come in the employees have been great, actually going above and beyond in some cases. If I could give zero stars I would. I just called up there and was talked to like absolute garbage by a lady and a male worker. I was very nice and all I was trying to do was get tracking information. The male worker I spoke with said, "most people want the cheapest shipping method and you did not pay for tracking." I advised I wasn't aware of paying for tracking or I would have, nor was I ever given the option. He also advised me that I was prematurely worrying about a package when most postal services don't technically consider packages being lost for 45 days. It's close to my house, which is convenient for me! What I like about this particular store: the staff. Shipping items can be pricey and a somewhat confusing process but literally every time I have been there, the employees have been SUPER helpful. They've answered any questions I've had and have given me cheaper options (that I didn't know existed) for shipping. They have saved me a lot of money, which I appreciate! Went antique shopping with my wife while in Nashville and this was the closest location to ship stuff home. When I asked them to charge my UPS account, they told me they couldn't as they're a franchise. They charged me $40+ to ship a 20 lb ground package. When I returned home I discovered the rate should have been about $18. A total ripoff. read more

If you would like friendly customer service, someone to greet you when you walk in the door, or just to speak to you when spoken too, this may not be your place. I don't know why, but my experience with this store has been so inconsistent. The store manager is always kind and helpful, but some of the staff are hit or miss, shall I say. They may be in deep conversations with each other, or just non responsive for another reason....but either way it has happened often and it makes the customer feel like they are bothersome. So I have temporarily found myself without a printer and have been relying on UPS for my small print jobs (1-5 pages). I had been using this location because it's closest to my home. I think the UPS website guarantees that quick print jobs will be done within 24 hours. Not super convenient for such a small print job but I have been dealing until I find a better alternative. I happened to use another UPS location (Green Hills) because I had some errands to run close by and they had my job ready for me within an hour. So then I realized, no, it shouldn't take 24 hours to print 2 sheets of paper. And this location always uses the whole 24 hours. Again, totally within what they guarantee so I don't have a ton of room to gripe, but at the same time, it's something that takes 30 seconds to get done. So I'll just be using another location going forward. Also, this location always screws up the job in some way - double sided when I ordered single sided, color when I ordered black and white, etc. The staff is totally nice when I go in, so nothing against them, I would just go somewhere else if you need a small print job done quickly and accurately. read more
