It was a pretty cool little shop and store. I think the tour was a little too expensive, but you can get the jist by looking through the store. I will say that the store was pretty interesting and had a bunch of unique and oddly affordable gifts. I liked their stuff which was really cool. The service was pretty good too! I would recommend stopping by the store, especially after going to the hall of fame!

The posters are so unique and colorful.

Hatch is a smallish store located on the bottom floor of the Country Music Hall of Fame but it is far more than that. For well over 100 years, Hatch has made and continues to make the posters you see everywhere in Nashville and for good reason: they are fantastic. Sure, you can and should check out the gift shop but I highly, HIGHLY recommend taking the hour or so long tour. You will learn about the history of Hatch and also about how the posters are physically made. We even got to make our own small poster. It is a very unique tour and something truly different than most other tours. You can also watch the employees literally making the posters next door to the shop. Yes, you should buy one of their great posters and yes, you should also take the tour. This is one of those tours you will remember long afterward.

Hatch Show Print is located in the same building as the Country Music Hall of Fame. They have a gift shop as well as an area where you can see the staff printing posters. They also offer a tour, which you can book through the Country Music Hall of Fame. For the tour, you meet in the hallway between Hatch Show Print and the Country Music Hall of Fame and surrounding shops. Your tour guide comes to meet you a few minutes before your scheduled tour. After a quick introduction you walk through the gift shop to a classroom where you hear about the history of the letterpress poster shop. After that, you get to print your own Hatch Show Printing poster with the help of the staff. Once everyone has their posters and you've looked at the posters all around the room you proceed back to the hallway to learn more about how the shop is set up and what tools they use to make prints in house. The tour lasts approximately one hour. Our guides were friendly and very knowledgeable about the history and print process. This was a fun experience, and I would recommend it to others when visiting Nashville!

Such a cool Nashville stop! A bit more niche, but so fun! We had a lot of fun just walking around! Hatch is so cool! If you see any musician at the Ryman, you've got to get a hatch poster! They don't advertise it -- but they always have them there! You can do tours of the printing process or just stop in and shop! Lots of cool merch! Miir coffee mugs are rlly solid in the coffee industry! Not expensive but not cheap -- great quality though!

This was one of the best things we did in Nashville! Loved learning all the eclectic history on the tour (6/9/25). I wish I could remember our tour guides names, they were fabulous!

We signed up for the Hatch Show Print tour on our recent trip to Nashville and this was one of the highlights of the trip! The tour started off going into a back rooom of Hatch Show Print to lear more about the history of the print shop and to dive into the world of old-style printing. The guides were informative and added some nice humor into the mix and the room you were in to start off the tour was perfect as you were surrounded by examples of the print jobs Hatch Show Print has completed over the years. All on the tour were able to do a rolled print of their own which provided a hands-on experience to the tour which was pretty cool! After the initial stop, tour members then left the back room and went to the front of the shop where more information was provided about the printing process, the history of Hatch and some of the work that was taking place right in front of your eyes while on the tour. All agreed that this tour was great and the hour spent on the tour was very enjoyable. Would highly recommend this tour when in Nashville!

Fun little activity if you're into design history and don't mind a lot of talking. About an hour's worth, to be exact. If you have a short attention span like me, it might be a bit much. I was expecting something more hands-on, but aside from adding one layer of ink to a pre-made poster (with the shop's name on it), it was mostly a guided tour. The space is cool and the history may be interesting to some, but just know going in that it's more of a lecture than a workshop.

The shop. Back wall houses all of the letters and carved plates.

This review is for the tour. Such a cool experience. Bailey and Rosie were our knowledgeable and personable guides. You get to see tons of the original show posters, you get a little history, and you get to see their shop where they're printing posters for current bands, comedians and other clients. You get to experience the process yourself by making your own print to take home! If you don't do the tour, you can still see employees printing in the shop from the gift shop and the windows in the lobby (it's in the building with the Country Music Hall of Fame.) Paid parking is across the street by the park and a big hotel. Good for ages 10 and up in my opinion.

Walked by and was intrigued. There is a print shop attached which you can tour through the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The old style printing press on display is cool and they have some awesome poster prints. The shop also has merchandise for pets, kids, and art lovers. Well made and prices are average for similar items. Associates were fine but not interacting with customers much. I liked looking into the print shop portion which is gated off to check out the process and equipment.

I took a tour of Hatch Show Print during my visit to Nashville and it was excellent! You've probably seen a Hatch poster at some point in your life whether you realized it or not. I had no idea that these iconic posters were produced by Hatch Show Print until I took the tour. If you like the performing arts, history, or design, then you will enjoy this tour. You get to learn the history about Hatch Show Print, see all kinds of cool posters, and even make a souvenir poster on the print press. We didn't get to tour the actual print shop, but we were able to stand in the lobby and watch through the windows. The work that the designers do is amazing and the printing process is fascinating. If you purchase the Total Access Pass, Hatch Show Print is one of the pick 4 options. If you don't have the pass, the ticket is $20 and you do not have to buy a ticket to the Country Music Hall of Fame to take the tour. I highly recommend this tour!

Really enjoyed this Off the cuff museum. It's located inside the same building as country música hall of fame, and you can get your tickets there or online. The tour itself is small groups, so you get bang for your buck. Most of the tour is inside the educational space where they go over the history of hatch show print, then you get to ask questions & finalize your own poster. The history of this place is really cool, they still print posters the "old school" way with many original products! Def a must visit if you like these kinds of tours.

If you are an artist, graphic designer, history buff or into marketing, you have to go to Hatch Show Print. I did not realize how much I would enjoy/nerd out during this experience until I was there. This historic and active print shop was the absolute highlight of my time in Nashville. It is currently located in the Country Music Hall of Fame. You are able to do a guided tour of the shop. The tour is about an hour long. You will meet in the lobby outside the shop at the sign under the grand staircase. First you'll be taken into the classroom space. Here you will learn about letter press techniques, the incredibly rich history of Hatch Show Print and make your own letter press poster on their historic machines. The newest machine in their shop is from the 1950s! All other machines are older than that and still in use. Then they will walk you out to the active print shop where you get to see their printing artists working and learn more about their history. It will close out in their gallery that shows of their work as well as the work of visiting artists who use their space and equipm The tour is absolutely worth it. It is only $20 and is honestly a much bigger value than that. You can see other work the print shop has done at the Ryman Auditorium (another great stop by the way!) Their linked history and being able to see both spaces in a week really enhanced my experience. The shop is full of unique and interesting pieces. I was able to get some great gifts and take home my personal souvenir that I made during the tour. This is a must!

What a great tour! We made our reservations online for the Country Music Hall of Fame and added on the Hatch Tour since they are in the same building. You are met by your guide in front of the Hatch store. A 30 minute presentation in the rear of the store includes the amazing history of the print process, the family and Nashville. You then have the opportunity to print your own Hatch Show Print to take home with you! Next you tour the exterior of the actual workshop where current posters are printing. Next a quick stop in the gallery. Your tour ticket gives you a 10% discount in the store for cards, posters and t-shirts. It's unbelievable how much history and creative workmanship is packed into this tour. Don't forget to sign the guestbook and bring cash to tip your tour guides.

Ask the Community - Hatch Show Print

Can you purchase old concert posters?

Yes, they have some designs from old concerts that are available for sale!

If I go on a weekday for a tour, will I see actual printing in action or do you never see actual production? Thanks.

Yes, you can see printing being done. You are separated from the printing area by a large window though (it's huge), and it is in the main area without taking a tour. (I know this answer is years after your question, but to correct from the… Read more
