Fast to go service as always. 2 bibimbap bowls, katsu curry bowl and sweet potatoes with the special butter.

This is a really really good place for gimbap. It tastes just like the ones my mom makes. There's plenty of choices and the ddeokbbukki is soooo good. Better some of the ones from nearby restaurants Service was great too! We'll be coming back for more!

Spicy Crunchy Kimbap

Ordered two packs of the spicy kimbap with a small side of kimchi, and the guy also gave me a side of their kimchi sauce. The establishment was very clean, small, and cute, and the customer service was good. Parking is definitely cramped and compact because of the neighboring popular Bag of Cakes spot and nail salon, but nothing too crazy. * Spicy Kimbap: 10/10 -- Really good. Fresh, flavorful, and easily my favorite thing I ordered. * Kimchi Sauce: 10/10 -- Sweet with a little spice, super flavorful and honestly so good. * Kimchi: 6/10 -- Not the best kimchi I've had, but definitely not bad. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to order it again. I'll definitely be back to try the bulgogi. I love that the menu is simple and the food is good. Cute little spot that does what it needs to do.

Love the bibimbap, especially the extra veggie option instead of rice for a lower carb meal. They don't skimp on the meat, and the portion is very satisfying. Easy, free parking and efficient service. Limited indoor seating with casual ambiance.

I grew up in the area and while I have nostalgia for Alberto's, I love what they've done with the space. The food was great. I got a spicy curry chicken katsu with a side of fish cake kimbap. The katsu was light and crispy. The chicken was tender and portions were fair. The barley tea was refreshing.

Sweet potato w/miso butter ~ highly recommend!!

I finally got to come to GoGoMa today! Parking was easy; use the side door to enter. This restaurant is on the smaller side, but it's clean and nicely laid out. Two ways to order: at a kiosk as you enter or at the counter. The menu is simple and straightforward. The workers were friendly and polite. I've never had kimbap and their sweet potatoes were highly recommended here on Yelp, so I went with both. The presentation for the OG kimbap rolls was very nice. I appreciated that the filling was the star and the rice was the supporting cast. Since this was my first time having this, I'm not sure if sauce is usually added, but it seemed like it needed it. Kimbap connoisseurs, please help me out with this one :) The sweet potato with miso butter was my favorite, because how can you really go wrong with a sweet potato, right? What really puts this dish over the top is the miso butter. Mmm mmm good! So the sweet potato & miso butter is a definite YES for next time. Someone help me out with the kimbap ~ or should I just stick with the tried and true spam & eggs?

The katsu is delicious!!! The sweet potatoes are perfect... I also really like all the sauces and condiments... Lots of flavors... I would definitely order from GoGoMa again very soon...

I'm rating specifically on the kimbap and anchovy broth they serve in the hot cups for free while you wait for your order. I'm a pescatarian so my orders were a bit limited... I was craving kimbap and kimchi. ordered the fish cake anchovy perilla kimbap. Yes, to the kimchi. Both delicious!! I actually really love this kimbap and wish I ordered 2!! The kimchi is delicious! I think I will stop by for another kimbap before I head back socal!

This place has recently opened, it's a little cute shop with food as well. Very unique style, they sell foreign snacks and also food. The service is amazing, quick, and all around great. There are complimentary anchovy broth to elevate the food. The kimbap was 9/10 really good flavor and freshly made, the anchovy broth and their special spicy sauce really elevated the flavors. We also bought the spicy tuna and peppered seaweed from their snack option.

Queena T.

Want a grab a bite? Or lunch? Or dinner? This is a great spot for that. Great for to go orders and sit downs. They have anchovy soup for you along with a simple menu that looks and tastes pretty delicious. They got good portions and ample parking in the shared lot. A little walk doesn't hurt if the closest ones are full. It's a chill environment inside with some Korean music playing. It looks like they have a setup to do a little snack shopping to add to your meal if you want to add some extra umph. Haha will stop by again if craving some bibimbap or salads

Gogoma is such a cute little gem in Fullerton! Came here for lunch with a few friends and left very happy. The vibe is adorable -- bright, cozy, super Instagram-worthy without trying too hard. Great spot to catch up with friends over good food. Food-wise, we went all in: their signature sweet potato dish is a must-order, sweet, rich, and how I remember eating it back in the Motherland. The katsu was crispy on the outside and juicy inside, cooked perfectly. And the kimbap? Fresh, flavorful, and the perfect lighter bite to balance out the richer dishes. Portions were great for sharing, service was friendly, and everything came out at a solid pace. Would definitely recommend this place around Placentia and Fullerton.

Spam and egg

Gogoma is a welcome addition to the Placentia/Fullerton area serving Korean comfort foods with friendly service. Upon three visits here- the standouts for me are the tuna/crab kimbap, spam and egg kimbap, ddukbokki (very nice spice level and perfectly cooked egg) and lastly the sweet potato with a side of honey miso sauce. They also serve complementary barley tea and anchovy broth, which just feels like home. This is Korean comfort food at its finest. Highly recommend Gogoma when you're in the area!

Glad I finally got to try this place out. I liked it a lot and will definitely be back. When you enter, you can order at the register or use the little kiosk they have by the side. I used the kiosk and it was really easy to navigate and use. I got the OG Kimbap, spam and egg kimbap, gogoma (sweet potato), and the bibim bowl. The kimbaps were pretty good. Nice and fresh and very flavorful. I really liked the bibim bowl. Thought the price was a bit high, but it is actually quite a lot of food and worth the price, imo. They give you a lot of protein and it was really tasty when you mix all of the ingredients together. My coworkers also all liked all of the food. Pretty small and simple menu, but i would like to come back and try some of the other kimbaps and maybe even the new ramen I saw on the menu.

Food: We ordered the Galbi-Tang and Sul-Long-Tang, and our food came out pretty quickly. Both soups were really flavorful and comforting, and the broth was definitely the most memorable part of the meal. The banchan on the side was a little weaker compared to some other Korean spots I've been to, but the soups more than made up for it. Parking: They have their own parking lot, which made parking easy when we visited. I really enjoyed the food here and would definitely come back, especially when I'm craving a comforting bowl of soup.

You come here for Korean comfort food, metal dishes of banchan, enormous bowls of soup and stone pots hot enough to continue cooking your dinner while you eat it. And that stone pot is where I'd start. The gondre dolsot bibimbap was fantastic. Gondre is Korean thistle and here it gets worked through the rice with the egg, seaweed and everything else until the whole thing becomes earthy, savory and deeply satisfying. But the best part comes underneath. Leave it alone long enough and the rice against the stone develops that beautiful scorched crust, nurungji, which you eventually scrape loose and mix back through everything. That combination of the greens, sesame, egg and crispy rice is ridiculously good. There are dishes you finish because you're hungry and dishes where you keep digging around the bottom of the bowl because you're convinced there must be another good piece hiding somewhere. This was the latter. The galbitang was more complicated for me. The beef itself was excellent. Generous pieces, tender, falling easily from the bone and soft enough that our kids loved it. Plenty of green onion, too. My issue was the broth. I prefer galbitang on the restrained side so I can decide where it goes from there. Same reason I like seolleongtang arriving almost defiantly plain, give me the broth and let me dress it up myself with salt, saeujeot or whatever else I want. Han Yang has already made those decisions for you. The galbitang broth was noticeably sweet and salty and eventually it became a little much for me. That's preference as much as criticism, plenty of people will probably love it exactly as it arrives. I just wanted the volume turned down. The banchan was similarly mixed but mostly good. The napa kimchi was solid and nicely balanced. The kkakdugi was particularly good. The mustard greens, however, were ferociously sour. I like fermented food. These had me physically wincing. The dipping sauce for the galbi was excellent, though and I kept going back to it. Rice was average and a little dry. It did its job. Service was good and the whole experience was easy. The room itself has some age on it, tables are fairly close together and depending on where you're seated you may find yourself with a commanding view of the bathroom door. Nobody has ever requested the chef's table at the restroom, but here we are. Somehow I don't particularly mind any of it. Han Yang feels like a restaurant that knows what it is. It isn't polished into anonymity. People are here eating giant bowls of soup, mixing rice in scorching stone pots and getting on with their lives. And when a restaurant can put something as good as that gondre bibimbap in front of me, I can forgive a dry bowl of rice and a bathroom with excellent sightlines. Absolutely coming back. And next time, I'm getting that bibimbap again.

It was a great variety of shareable food & we did everything family style. LOVED the galbi the best (so soft & tender, good quality meat with tendony pieces), picanha steak with potatoes (gluten free option), pork belly, burrata with tomatoes, & the salad (mostly was arugula) that came with most of the dishes - that was so great because usually when you order food to share there aren't enough greens. The mushroom pasta was a popular favorite & the seafood rose pasta was also pretty good. I generally prefer unsweetened or less sweet meat, but their seasonings were done pretty perfectly (I hope they never make it sweeter because a lot of restaurants' marinated meats are too sweet/sugary). Everything was delicious! Even the matcha lattes were delicious & the cocktails were a hit, too (& I'm picky about my matchas)! I got mine half sweet & it was just perfect. We also loved the desserts which were a lava cake with ice cream, raspberry cheesecake in a cup, & gogoma (sweet potato) with pumpkin seeds & some crunchy crumble & ice cream. The gogoma was chewy & yummy! I think it was a $900 minimum to reserve the party room on the side of the restaurant, & it was nice & bright with windows all along the side. Highly recommend dPlace! The side room we reserved is a perfect place to gather & quite spacious :) I want to try the truffle potato jeon!

It was 95°F outside, and the dining room at Mr BBQ was unbearably hot. There was a sign in the waiting area mentioning the AC issue, but the waiting area was significantly cooler than the actual dining room, making it difficult to judge from the entrance just how uncomfortable it would be once seated. We were told the AC was running but that the ventilation from the grills was making the dining room hot. Regardless of the cause, we spent the entire meal sweating and feeling sick from the heat. When we finally walked outside, the 95°F outdoor air actually felt cooler than the dining room. They provided handheld fans, which was a nice gesture in theory, but the fans were visibly filthy and covered in food splatters. The bathrooms were also extremely dirty, with a sign mentioning plumbing issues. Plumbing problems don't excuse poor cleanliness. I understand that equipment issues happen, but this felt like a situation where the restaurant chose to keep operating rather than prioritize the comfort and cleanliness of its guests. For a restaurant charging what it does, that's disappointing. I will not be returning.

We got the prime non marinated Korean BBQ for two people ($123.95). Of the meats we got as part of the combo, my favorites were the brisket, boneless short ribs, and marinated short ribs. The meal also came with banchan, steamed egg, and tofu soup. The steamed egg was decent but the tofu soup was actually really good. It was seasoned enough and was one of the better tofu soups I've had. Our server cooked the meat and cut them into smaller pieces for us so the meal was easy.
