Tried a few items from this place: Dry cooked chicken tenders with ube- I thought the chicken wasn't that great, it's a little bit spicy. I think would've been better if the chicken was more crispy, but it's on the soggier side. The ube was good though. Sand storm chicken wings - pretty good, juicy, flavorful, love putting the garnish into fried rice Honey glazed chicken wings - flavor is pretty good, but the wings are huge so although it's juicy, there isn't enough flavor inside Garlic string beans- good flavor and cooked well, goes great with the wings and fried rice Tomato beef fried rice with XO sauce- didn't see any pics of this on Yelp and it sounded good so gave it a try. The tomato was just diced tomatoes on top of the fried rice. It didn't add any flavor to it and did not seem like it belonged. Also didn't taste any xo sauce flavor Black truffle duck fried rice - pretty good, flavorful, better than the tomato beef fried rice Would come again and try other items on the menu.

Come Try Chicken -- that's what Go Chicken says in Chinese characters, if you're curious. Arrived shortly after 2pm on a Saturday. Placed order by 2:22pm, last of the 5 dishes we ordered arrived at 2:39pm and by 2:55pm, they were coming by a couple of times to check on whether we could pay for the bill -- this was rude and offensive behavior! I see they have a closing time of 2:45pm but if we ordered by 2:22pm and kitchen stopped cooking at 2:39pm, what's the problem with leaving us to enjoy the meal we paid for? We didn't need any service and I don't see how we were an inconvenience to anyone. If they really want everyone to be out the door by 2:45pm, then they shouldn't accept anymore dine in orders after 2pm. I chewed through my food so fast that I felt like I was getting indigestion! Also don't be a sucker for their scallop noodle $20.99 -- I should've called them over to find a scallop for me -- just find one!! The whole plate of noodles tasted bland with no flavor. Check out my pics. Their so called Bang Bang chicken $14.99 is basically General Tso sauce -- nothing banging about it. The espresso spareribs $14.99 remind me of the dimsum I once had at Koi Palace many years ago but these spareribs were a little tough to chew. The only highlight was the sandstorm chicken $14.99 and golden egg yolk mushrooms, although definitely not worth $12.99 -- two dollars worth of white mushrooms fried with some egg yolk batter. So rude to rush us, especially since the last dish arrived at the table at 2:39pm. I've dined at plenty of Asian places that don't do this even if they close in the middle of the afternoon. 50% tip taken off for the rude behavior

Finding parking was easy since there's plenty of metered spots nearby, and we had no trouble grabbing a table when we rolled in at 11:00 AM on Saturday. The setup is a little unique--you order the food via a QR code, but you still pay through the server. We tried the garlic green beans, seafood crispy noodles, and the dry cooked spare ribs with ube, but the spicy wontons were the real winner. Everything was solid, though I'm curious to try the dry cooked chicken next time to see how it stacks up against the ribs!

Small and organized spot with amazing service! One of the ladies wearing eyeglasses was so friendly, she recommended the Beef Brisket Stew Rice Roll and even showed us a few to-go orders. Service like that really makes a difference. We tried four dishes: Golden Egg Yolk Mushroom - hands down the best dish ever! Unique, crisp, full of real egg yolk flavor, and not salty. Loved it so much we could easily eat it as a snack. Sand Storm Chicken Wings - super crispy and huge portions (10 pieces for $14.99!). Incredible value for the Bay Area. Caramelized Spareribs with Ube - visually striking and unique. The spareribs are already marinated with savory flavors, but the caramelization wasn't sweet enough to balance them. Still an interesting and creative dish, just slightly too savory for our taste. Beef Brisket Stew Rice Roll - unfortunately our least favorite. Too salty, beef overcooked and falling apart, with very little meat. Overall, the mushrooms are a must-try, and the friendly staff makes this spot a joy to visit. :)

We were greeted and seated by a waitress upon entering the restaurant. They have an extensive menu. We ordered the Black Truffle Duck Rice, Seafood Crispy Noodle, Sand Storm Chicken Wings, Caramelized Spareribs With Ube, Espresso Spareribs, Sauteed Green Beans, Honey Glazed Walnut Shrimp With Cranberry Aioli, and Jasmine Tea. Our food came out in a timely manner. The Black Truffle Duck Rice, Seafood Crispy Noodles, and Espresso Spareribs were ok. There weren't anything special with these three entrees. We couldn't really taste the Espresso in the Espresso Spareribs. The Sand Storm Chicken Wings were piping hot when they got to our table and they were flavorful. The Sauteed Green Beans and Honey Glazed Walnut with Cranberry Aioli were tasty. The prices were fairly reasonable and they were generous with the portions. We will be back to try some of their other entrees.

Wow, the food here was so good!!! We ordered over the phone and everything was ready in about 15-20 minutes. We tried the Sandstorm chicken wings, egg yolk mushrooms, and chicken tenders with ube. The Sandstorm wings were tasty and crunchy - definitely a solid classic chicken wing but probably not something I'd personally order again. The chicken tenders with ube was so good! The flavor was on point and caramelized which made them perfect over white rice. The chunks of ube paired surprisingly well and added a nice touch of sweetness. Definitely a must order! My favorite was the egg yolk mushrooms. They were battered perfectly with the ideal crunch and had that rich savory flavor I always crave. I'm definitely coming backto try more dishes from their menu!

    Caramelized Spareribs with Ube (焦糖紫薯排骨)
    Wesley L.

Dry Cooked Chicken Tenders with Ube (千烹紫薯鸡)- sticky sauce with crispy chicken was very tender and flavorful. Small bites of ube in the dish was nice with the chicken but not sure if it added anything to the dish Caramelized Spareribs with Ube (焦糖紫薯排骨)- sticky sauce over these flavorful spareribs was great to have. Very similar feeling with the chicken dish we had though I preferred this one over the chicken dish Black Truffle Duck Fried Rice (黑松露鸭肉炒飯)- flavorful and the black truffle was not super over welling the dish which I find a lot happens with black truffle anything. Was concerned that eating this with all the other foods would be too much but it actually worked well together Golden Egg Yolk Mushroom (金沙茶树菇)- crispy and flavorful appetizer. Nice fun bites of seafood mushrooms and salted egg Found this place randomly one day walking around and wanted to try it. Very conveniently located near the muni stop. Parking can be a bit challenging with street parking in this area. Overall loved the dishes we tried and looking forward to coming back again. The chicken and pork dishes reminded me of santung in sunset. I think I still like santung a bit more but this place has a lot more variety of good dishes in my opinion.

===TL;DR=== - G8. Beef brisket stew rice crepe roll - A7. Sand storm chicken wings - E3. Garlic green beans ===TMI=== For those of you unfamiliar with this area, they're located right next to Shabu House (the only thing I recognize around here). Primarily meter parking. Not a huge space inside but enough for a couple of tables and one big one towards the back. The food came out fast. Surprisingly the green beans were done nicely, flavorful and crispy. The beef brisket stew was alright. The cut of brisket was a good mixture of lean and fatty parts and the rice crepe roll was a good choice to absorb all the sauce. I quite enjoy their sand storm chicken. I asked what that is and the respond was "similar to salt and pepper chicken". -shrug- they were the large party pack and they were juicy inside. Flavor was very subtle tho. I wish they had Hong Kong milk tea or iced lemon tea on their menu.

    Denis K.

New, clean, easy to order via QR or in person. Sandstorm fried chicken is freshly fried made-to-order . May be the last item to come out. But it's very good. Beef noodle soup is a solid people pleaser Truffle Duck fried rice. I loved the bigger portion size. It's a well flavored dish. But did not taste truffle or duck. I'm sorry. *There is a charged for tea ~1.50 pp. Get water if you don't agree with tea charge. Generally loved this place. Will repeat.

4.5 STARS Go Chicken? I say, Go Beef. Go Pork too. Cuz chicken is not the only thing they do well. Soft opening today, Go Chicken took over the short-lived Wok Up (new owner). Currently open for takeout and dine-in. M E N U Cantonese fare with modern twists (espresso ribs, truffle duck fried rice, honey walnut prawns w/ cranberry aioli, etc.) and HK wonton noodle soup Suggestion: Adding brief one-line descriptions for the less obvious dishes. For example, the spareribs w/ ube is a specialty from the chef's home country, but without any context, I had no idea how it's prepared (braised? stir-fried? deep-fried?). F O O D * Sandstorm Chicken Wings 风沙鸡亦 (10 pc-$14.99) Crispy, meaty wings with a golden-brown crust and juicy interior topped with hella fried garlic (the sand) and chili peppers. Their spin is the use of aromatic Sichuan peppers for a light numbing spice. * Beef Brisket Stew Rice Roll Crepe 牛腩肠粉煲 ($16.99) While the wings were delicious, this was my fav of the two. Noodle rolls (cheung fun) are smothered with slow-braised, meltingly tender beef brisket (rough flank) and served in a sizzling claypot. The chewy noodles rolls absorb the savory, ginger infused sauce while the heat of the pot lightly crisps the noodles, enhancing the texture and imparting a subtle smoky flavor. Ask for a side of their housemade chili sauce! S E R V I C E Friendly, gracious owner and staff. I ordered additional items to drop off to a friend nearby and the owner kindly offered to help me bring the bags to my car. A M B I A N C E Modern, casual space with a dozen tables and an open kitchen. Overall, solid soft opening day one. The owner raved about the spareribs w/ ube so def coming back for that!

Really good fried chicken at a good value. Definitely out does the Panda. They have a pretty big menu with a lot of different offerings will need to test them out more. Hopefully they last longer than Wok Up did. Taking away a star since their time estimates for take out were slower than anticipated but hopefully that gets better with time.

Golden yolk mushrooms, Mongolian beef, sand storm chicken
    Pear N.

Got three things to try, and they were decent. The golden yolk mushrooms were a fun snack, and the sandstorm chicken was very popular based on all the reviews. I thought it was fine, the chicken was nice and crispy. The Mongolian beef was a little tough for my liking, and I probably wouldn't get it again next time.

This new Chinese restaurant is serving fried chicken with ube! The sticky sauce itself is not ube flavored, but it is a sweet & spicy sauce that goes so well with the ube pieces and lightly crisped, juicy chicken. If you're not a fan of chicken, they also have a spareribs version too. I also tried their boiling bowl of stew that has rice crepe rolls, beef brisket, and beancurd. Everything was super fresh, flavorful, and well cooked. Service was very friendly and the food came out fairly fast. The restaurant itself was very clean with quite a few seats and tables with one larger round table in the back.

Once they started calling tables, it moved really fast. When we were seated, we ended up sharing a table with two other groups of two. I actually didn't mind it at all because there was still enough space between everyone to have privacy. It also made the experience feel more social -- I ended up chatting with the people to my right and left about the food. Everything we ordered was really good. Their popular dry fried chicken absolutely lived up to the hype and was probably my favorite thing on the menu... besides the cherry pork. I feel like nobody talks about the cherry pork enough! It was SO good -- kind of like a sweet-and-sour pork without the sour. I dipped it in soy sauce because I loved the sweet and salty combo together. The dumplings were also really good. The wrapper was thin and delicious, but my boyfriend said he wished they had a little more protein filling and less leek. The green beans are always a hit. The only thing I probably wouldn't order again was the black bean sauce noodles. Maybe I just expected a different flavor, but to me they honestly tasted like regular lo mein. I'm also not a huge noodle person in general, so I'd probably skip them next time and order something else instead. Forgot to mention their prices are on point! Definitely recommend to any of the tourists. I think the weight is definitely worth it and I love being able to take home my leftovers and eating them for lunch and dinner the next day.

Since we had reservations, we waited only a few minutes to get seated at the bar. The bar makes it easy to converse with your partner and to peer over as the fire from the range springs up from the kitchen. Our server brought us some "Free Bites" of roasted peanuts and smashed cucumbers. She was such a pleasant lady with quite the wit that made me laugh between courses. We ordered a full bottle of Negori sake. Note: if you do not finish the sake bottle, they cannot pack it to go for you, so drink up! Obviously, we couldn't order everything on the menu. For our first visit, we definitely wanted their special dish, Fried Squab. It was delicious! The meat was moist and the dipping salt with Sichuan peppercorn paired perfectly! Just don't focus too much on the visual... the head and claws. Each dish came out piping hot (especially the dumpling and wontons), and my favorite main dish was definitely the Braised Seafood + Tofu in Clay Pot. Pair that with some rice and your set. This place was such a vibe! Totally recommend; all our food came out quick --- everything was made-to-order, and they got nothing wrong. 10 out of 10!

Shops were starting to open up and we stumbled upon Hon's Wun-Tun House. We originally wanted to go to a different dumpling house but that one was closed at the time. As we peered into Hon's storefront window, we saw employees already busy making dumplings around 9am. We decided to give it a try and we were so happy we did! The servers were quick to seat us, give us water and take our orders using their tablets. We ordered the pan fried dumplings and the scallion pancakes. Everything was delicious! The dumplings had a good amount of filling and were hot and fresh. The scallion pancakes had plenty of scallions which I appreciated. I mean it wouldn't be scallion pancakes without the ample amount of scallions, right?! Lots of customers were having breakfast and I noticed many people ordered congee, so it must be one of their best sellers. Our bellies were satisfied and we were out of there in under 30 minutes. Bill came out to be about $23 after taxes and before tip. This place is great for a group of friends or families to sit down and have a meal while visiting Chinatown. The front of the restaurant has a kiosk to place orders as well (not sure if it's only for take-out orders). It's definitely a restaurant I would go back to when we are in the area again.

Great food and I love that their happy hour is 4-7pm goes pretty late, only available at the bar. I checked in and said im walking in here for happy hour. the host said ok happy hour and asked me do I want to sit inside at a table or at the bar? I'm thinking "o, I thought for happy hour I must be seated only at the bar, ok lets get a table instead then, maybe more comfortable." Got settled down and seated in the main dining room which was super loud. another server comes and I ask about happy hour menu and he said no that's at the bar only. so why were we ushered to this table? so I got out of that room and went to find myself a seat at the bar instead. bar is much quieter which is nice and more relaxing. for happy hour the ha gow and siu mai is about $1-2 off. coffee lava bun is good, gooey coffee filling inside and perfectly baked bun outside! 18% gratuity auto added onto all bills big beautiful space, especially outdoors with the ferry building view the cod is incredible. about $56 for half size and $100 for large size.
