Went in for the Air Force versus Navy college football game and service was so good. The hosts were wonderful, got sat quickly. The service was wonderful, food and drinks came out very quick. First... I want to say that I am quite addicted to their Buffalo Chicken Salad! It is a huge chopped salad topped with around ten boneless mild wings (can be changed to other levels of heat if desired!) and blue cheese. I actually crave this salad every time i see this place! This visit, we ordered the fried pickles and bacon cheese fries for appetizers. They were so amazing! The cheese fries didn't have that goopy fake liquid cheese like some places. They actually baked them with sharp cheddar! I am a huge fan of both! Three of the four people in our party ordered the Buffalo Chicken Salad (yes it is that good)! My son got the rack of ribs dinner and I can just say, the ribs were so tender and moist, falling off the bone. The sauce was seriously finger licking good! The only thing I wish this place did better is dessert. I had the cobbler which was good but the crust to fruit ratio was not well balanced. My husband had the banana bread pudding which was good but was a pretty small portion for the money. My son had the cheesecake which was good but was set on top of a sauce that overpowered the main event. My daughter had the ice cream sandwiches which were made with oreo cookie outsides, rolled in sprinkles, and served with a big side of hot fudge. They were really good. Sunday nights are definitely the best nights at this place. The best part about it for me is the atmosphere. There had to be, my guess at least 50 flat screen televisions spread out everywhere. At 7:30 on a Sunday, the place was literally packed with people. In spite of this, my girlfriend and I were seated quickly and the location of the table was decent. I ordered the center cut sirloin steak which included potatoes and a Caesar salad. My girl got the barbeque chicken tenders platter that had French fries. Our Server was super cool and attentive. He came around a couple of times for drink re-fills and brought the food to our table fast. The steak was awesome and the chicken tenders were good as well. This is a neighborhood restaurant. I live right around the corner. I have been here many times over the years. It is a family favorite. I give 3 stars as an average. I have had some 5 star experiences and some clear 2 start experiences; mostly related to service. Lunch is usually a very pleasant experience. We can count on a quick meal with decent service. Dinner can be quite loud and there is generally a wait to be seated. Weekends are particularly loud. When we go as a family, we usually get crab dip, crab pretzels or cheese fries as an appetizer. They are all delicious! The kids are crazy about the cheese fries. The ranch on the side is perfect with the hot, cheesy, bacon-y goodness. What is better than crisp fries draped with hot, melty cheese? We have tried most of the menu. The Hall of Fame Prime Burger is really nice. It is flavorful and juicy. One of my sons loves the ribs. It is his go-to meal. Do try the wings, They are wonderful! I like the Glory wings and the Garlic Buffalo. My husband likes the Hot. My kids like the Teriyaki and Old Bay wings. I haven't tried a wing that I didn't like. If you have left room for dessert, order the Ice Cream Sliders. They are over-sized Oreo wafers with a creamy vanilla ice cream served with a chocolate sauce on the side for dipping. They are a perfect end to a nice, family meal. read more

Ok, so as I have said in past reviews, I am a regular customer in the Burke Glory Days Grill. I recently went there and had a poor experience, well you ask, why the 5 stars? The outstanding customer service by the owner! I wrote him about my issue. He used my complaint as a learning tool to better his team and make physical corrections to the restaurant itself. That is how it should work! I was then invited back to see the results my guests and I had a marvelous dinner, were able to speak to the owner. More service based companies could stand to take note. Customers do not complain to get free meals, they more often then not are a restaurant's first chance to correct an issue and improve. Congratulations Glory Days..... you got it right. read more

Used to be OK, now it's mediocre. Used to go here with my friends years ago for their cheese fries and ok burgers/cheesesteaks. Four years later we go here and everything is more expensive and tastes worse. Each of my friends got appetizers and a different entree, and all of us were highly dissatisfied with our meals. For the ribs and the cheesesteaks, the meat was way too dry. The cheesesteaks said they came with grilled peppers but they were dryer than the meat. One of my friends ordered a sandwich that comes with chicken and crab on top and said that it tasted like the food you get served back in high school. All of our appetizers tasted like they were frozen before, onion rings were okay at best. To top it off, the service was horrible. After ordering appetizers we had to wait 20 minutes to find our server again to ask about our appetizers and to order our entrees. All of the deals have been raised by at least a dollar (Appetizers used to be $5 after 9pm, now it's $6). Used to be an ok restaurant, but most likely never coming back again. read more

Super happy they were willing to give me at least one tv showing MSNBC for the elections tonight. I had to ask the manager to change one channel. I did ask to make sure they didn't take a ball game away from anyone who was staring at the TV. They even hooked me up with a speaker thing that actually worked. It's interesting to watch the reporting side by side. The food was good. The server was great. However one door in the women's bathroom is all jacked up and the one I went in to didn't have any TP in it. The horror!!! Luckily they had one of those giant rolls on the back of the toilet. We went here hoping to find a good neighborhood spot. Sadly, we were disappointed. The building is in major disrepair and in need of updates. There were buckets collecting leaks all in several spots. This was also preventing use of many tables. Food was decent for bar food but nothing special. I'd actually give that 3 stars. Service was mixed. I think our server was nice and had good intentions but it took over 20 minutes for our food to arrive. I had to ask our server about it and when he went to check it came right out. I suspect it was sitting in the back for a while and no one brought it out. The place was not busy so there is no good excuse. Our search for a good casual spot continues. read more

An apt name for the establishment ring true...Glory Days...days of past glory. Due to consistent bad service over a span of a week, I will go elsewhere in the future. In the Springfield/Burke area, there was not many choices, Glory Days provided good American cuisine in a sports themed restaurant. The last time I visited, it was enjoyable...my last two visits over a week has changed my perception and I will not be visiting again - in fact, I will be driving to Springfield Mall where there are many more delectable options with better service. My first visit was on 26 Jan/Tuesday, during the tail end of the long snow inspired weekend. My buddy and I ventured out for a late lunch. As expected, it was busy so we sat on the bar, received our drinks, and waited for our bartender/server to return so that we could order our food. We waited, waited, and waited. My buddy put his name on the waiting list for a table because we were hungry and could not get anybody's attention. Ten, fifteen minutes passed and we finally got the attention of the bartender/server where we were able to order food. I ordered the Tuesday taco special and my buddy ordered one of their special burgers. After receiving our food, the next time the bartender/server returned was when she noticed that our drinks were empty. Food good, service not so good. The next visit was on 31 Jan/Sunday and I visited with my wife. Again, service was consistently inept. After taking our drinks and food order, we could not find our server. We had to ask another for water. There was only two of us, yet our food order were mixed up...can we have more water please? The next time we saw our server was when he dropped off the bill while we were in still in the middle of eating... Needless to say, food and drinks are decent, service definitely needs to improve. I will not be returning, I will drive elsewhere for better service - or at least to an establishment where I will be appreciated. read more

I asked for flats only and the young lady who took my order told me that she would try but the kitchen was really busy. Really?! How much extra time does it really take to sort out flats only. The service is not what it used to be. It took way to long to receive a drink from the bar. I ordered a beer ahead of my meal, and it did not arrive until after the meal was finished. There must be a disconnect between the waitress taking the order, and the bar attendant delivering the beverage. When I complained, I was told they were short staffed that evening. First off we are regulars ar Glory Days Burke, we are in minimum 2-3 times per month and have been for years. We were supporting during COVID lockdowns getting takeout often, sometimes weekly. We came in on Sunday night (8/7/2022) for a dinner. Restaurant was about half full, our server had 3 tables (including us) but was one of the worst serving experiences we had (and that includes the Great ginger ale debacle from last month). Server stopped by after we had been seated for 5 or 10 minutes to tell us he would be right back. Took another 5 minutes for him to get back for our drink orders. Drinks come, food ordered, it's all good until he never comes back. Manager comes out with our food, my husband's burger is wrong. His blue cheese and onion burger has mushrooms (not standard and that he didn't order on it). Back it goes, waiter comes back with new burger. They dumped blue cheese on to of the wretched mushrooms, back a second time. Now since waiter disappeared ignoring our empty drinks and my crab cakes are getting cold. I go to the bar for a Soda refill. Bartender offers to bring new drinks to our table and just about flies over to our table to get my husband's order. Then bartender brings new drinks in the extra large glasses. Bartender is rock star and deserves a raise. Waiter should be retrained, better supervised, or let go. read more

Update review a year later! Still giving it 2 stars... We went in as a group of 5. 2 kids and 3 adults. After trying to sit us at 2 separate 4 person tables, we asked for a table to actually accommodate our party. We finally sit down and wait for a while before our server comes and greets us and takes our orders. Everything is fine. She takes our food orders next and then we wait. For about 45 minutes. Keep in mind, this is just a Tuesday night and its not even really crowded... So I flag down the manager to see what's going on, and our food is finally brought out. Everything looks great, except one order is wrong, so the manager goes back and fixes the order for us. Food is great, as usual, just definitely not worth the wait. I just don't super get what the problem is with the wait times here. If my family didn't like this place so much for its close proximity, I would just avoid this location until something is changed. read more

A young man who seated me and after waiting 15 min and two waitresses walking past me I went back to the door and interrupted him as he was watching a movie on his phone and had ear buds in. He didn't hear me. Finally I got his attention and ask if he could find my waitress. He literally grunted and slowly walked to the rear of the restaurant.
